Has anyone been left with scarring after plasma pen/fibroblast?

I had this done last week and some of the scabs have fallen off, only to my horror that instead of smooth fresh skin, there are indentations where the plasma pen were placed!! I'm so worried as I feel like I can't go back to work any time soon looking like this. Has this happened to anyone else and if so, did you manage to reduce the scarring? Makeup makes it even more obvious so I'm at a loss, feeling distressed, help! I'm regretting this so much.

Did your skin ever heal?

Kitkat2222 · 24/01/2022 15:59

Hi there. Curious how your scars ended up turning out?

Maec · 14/02/2022 21:01

Has anyone been left with very visible eyesocket outline

Reedy2255 · 15/02/2022 22:45

I had this procedure done in November last year and I still have the pigmentation where the scabs came off?…

Feel very conscious of this and I feel like wearing make up makes it’s very noticeable…

Wish I hadn’t had it done but it was done by a professional who I trust very much….

I guess it works well on some but sadly not on us all!!!…:

How is now all of you who had with indents problems. I did my fibroblast almost 3 weeks ago and I am terrified to see those indents on my forehead under my eyebrows and under my eyes. I so regret to do this procedure!

CharleeBoo · 29/03/2022 00:23

7 months ago I had a 3rd and final fibroblast treatment on my neck. I can’t say it was worth the money and it looks like the scars became little bumps. I’m going to try micro needling to see if I can get better results.

Scarred2022 · 21/04/2022 17:08

Almost a year now and still have every single mark made by the pen

pollyroo · 29/04/2022 11:29

I've had it done twice, on forehead, under eyes & eyelids. No scaring or little dents here. I would say that the person who did it maybe went too deep.

Hi, I had plasma fibroblast a week and 2 days ago. All of my scabs have fallen off but like yours, I have dents on my skin. They are not too dense but still there and don't look so good. Some of you have written that it'll fade away after 12 weeks but my doctor told me it is going to repair itself after a month. I was wondering, it's already 4 years, how was your recover? Did they fade away? And how dense they were? Mine are not like caves but still you can see dotting. I appreciate anything as answer.

Camelliapa · 08/06/2022 09:39

Hi. I had mine 10 days ago and I have the same pittings... Please can you update me if they have ever gone and how long it took for them to fade away ? Thanks a lot

alie33 · 08/06/2022 13:46

My skin is still a mess 4 years later, I've also had laser resurfacing twice to try and fix it but its not really helped. All I can say is the procedure should be banned, I wish I could be more positive but I've now given up trying to fix it.

astorsback · 08/06/2022 19:08

Ive read about this and apparently it can take six months to disappear.

lillillily · 14/06/2022 09:18

Hey there guys,
Wow yes, I have scars, it's been a year and I've been left with small white scars all over my eyelids. I've had several revision consultations and mostly what I've heard is they wont treat the scars because they're hypotrophic and will likely be made worse by laser treatment. So sad, I cant wear makeup on them either or it looks like chicken skin.

This is such a common issue and this is absolutely not a safe treatment. I went to the absolute finest clinic and they still managed to botch the procedure. Please just to a fractional laser treatment instead, it'll work just as well and it is way better controlled.

Hi, my scabs fell off 3 days ago and now sounds exactly like yours, I have little dents for every dot 😞 have you noticed an improvement?

Hello. Sorry to reopen this but I too have come to the Internet to find more out about the procedure I’ve had done…. Stupidly I didn’t research enough beforehand. I’m 1 week post procedure and I can see pock marks all over my eyelids. Can anyone give me a ray of hope? Maybe with some picture. I can’t believe I’ve done this.

how are your scars now?

A333 · 16/09/2022 06:30

@Sherrianne I had the exact same areas done as you 3 weeks ago and bad pitting all over. Did anything help to get rid of them? I am so depressed.

glloydsandiego · 16/09/2022 07:27

I’m almost three years post treatment. I had plasma pen done around my eyes - upper and lower lids. I was left with very noticeable indentations like the surface of a golf ball around my eyes. I’ve had a light resurfacing done (which didn’t help much) and an ablative laser resurfacing which did help. But it went very deep and took about two weeks down time to heal. I can still feel indentations under my left eye when I put on under eye concealer and I still see some indentations on my upper lids particularly on the inner corners. I’m going to try one last CO2 laser treatment over the Holidays when I can take time off. From my experience, an ablative laser like CO2 that goes deep enough (by a very meticulous cosmetic surgeon!) using eye shields while treating the lids to protect your eyes will correct the indentations. Very careful after care and SPF a must! It is the only way to get rid of the deeper pitting I think. What an awful procedure plasma pen is!

TeessideFatFreezing · 16/09/2022 08:13

It's a fantastic procedure when done correctly. It needs to be a light touch with a very fine needle. I use an acupuncture needle. None of my clients are left with indents.

None of yours must be on the same Facebook group I'm on then, pretty much everyone us left with golf ball skin. And they are from all over the UK.

It's something I would never have done, and the results aren't good either. I agree it should be banned.

frillypots · 16/09/2022 11:45

I had this in April on eyelids. I also had the pitting and panicked it would stay after reading this.

I used bio oil religiously from week 3 and it has cleared now. Also after 16 weeks my eyelids have tightened more so it did take longer than the 12 weeks they suggest for me anyway.

I was really worried I would be left with the scars as it looked terrible for about 4 weeks but there is nothing there now.

Fluffycloudland77 · 16/09/2022 11:50

This treatment never made sense to me, I’m not surprised so many have issues.

TDoginHats · 16/09/2022 14:03

I've just come across this thread again.
I won laser pen treatment in a Facebook raffle held by my usual beauty therapist (apparently worth up to £275 if I recall correctly)
After looking here in 2019, I declined the "prize" and no longer see that beauty therapist either.
I am so sorry to see how people have suffered and so glad I declined to take up the treatment.

alie33 · 16/09/2022 14:19

I've now had laser resurfacing twice to try and rectify the scarring on my neck and the skin on my neck is a bit tighter which is good the skin with the marks doesn't look any different. I've just had to accept that this is it now. The only thing that makes me feel a bit better is that the woman who did this to me is now no longer practicing and I think the fact that I put a photo on google reviews did help her make the decision to close. I honestly can't believe that this procedure is still legal! I did write to my local MP but he didn't even write back, I do understand that he obviously doesn't think this is a priority its so hard when you have this scaring on your face/neck that so visible and I'm so conscious whenever I meet someone new and I can see them trying to figure out what I've done to my skin!

A333 · 16/09/2022 14:56

Thanks for giving hope. I just bought the bio oil🤞🤞🤞
