Has anyone been left with scarring after plasma pen/fibroblast?

I had this done last week and some of the scabs have fallen off, only to my horror that instead of smooth fresh skin, there are indentations where the plasma pen were placed!! I'm so worried as I feel like I can't go back to work any time soon looking like this. Has this happened to anyone else and if so, did you manage to reduce the scarring? Makeup makes it even more obvious so I'm at a loss, feeling distressed, help! I'm regretting this so much.

I saw this on ig and thought it looked like burns. I hope you all recover in the end.

@Tilly2269

Hi thank you for responding to my message . As living in Spain it is sometimes quite difficult to get certain products, and ordering of Amazon you never really know if you are getting the real thing. Where did you purchase your Neocell from 👍
I got mine from a website called Naturobotanica but it only delivers in the UK :(

I would have a look for other trustworthy websites, as I know amazon has a lot of scams.

I would even consider another brand. Main thing is to check reviews for the brand first because you definitely don't want to waste your money.

That's essentially what it is. It's awful. No idea why I thought this was a good idea!!

Hello Anon,
I also did plexr treatment last week and now I am left with indentations after scabs came off. I was wondering if yours improved? If so, any special actions taken by you? I'm quite desperate/upset. Thank you in advance!

Linzilimitless · 16/07/2020 11:17

Hi, i do plasma myself and the recovery time can be very different depending on you own natural healing process. The older you are a massive impact on recovery time. I would say waiting 12 weeks is a reasonable amount of time to see the full result, some redness can still me seen in some people for quite some time after. I wouldnt worry too much unless u think she has held the pen on too long. Make sure u use moisturizer with spf50 daily. Do you have a photo of how your face is healing so far? X

LaGoulueRevenue · 16/07/2020 12:17

Omg I know someone who just sued over this. The salon stuck together and tried offering her fave creams first, then intimidating her into stopping the case but she was left scarred ffs. It was a long slog but she won.

Jsue77 · 18/07/2020 14:39

I have also had this done nearly 3 weeks ago and been left exactly the same. I have been told i will be fine it just needs to heel but I can’t help but worry. Can you confirm the exact collagen supplement you used there seem to be a couple of neocell collagen items? Thanks x

Hello!
I’ve done plexr on my upper lid 8 months ago and I’m left with a «golf ball» effect, small indentations on the area.
I went to a licensed and reputed doctor, I did everything like I was told (no sun, sunblock everytime I go out ...), but it never improved.

I’m terrified to be left like this forever.
I went to a good doctor with good reviews, the procedure went well.

I really hope someone can find an effective solution!

Plasma Pen Louise Walsh international has ruined my skin. Its 8 months that I am crying. I am an aesthetician who have attended PlasmaPen Louise Walsh international training course. Paid for it and got the device. On the training day the trainer Holly Gough (Ta Moko SKN )asked me to model for her. The treatment was done by her and one of the trainees.as they didn’t have enough models.Luckily I have video taped the whole treatment.I trusted her as this company claims that they are the best. And I ended up having two big hyperpigmentation on my both side of the face. Its been 8 months now. I am suffering from hypertension and hypersensitivity. When I confronted Holly and PlasmaPen Louise Walsh international they removed me from the student group. And Then they blocked me. It is just wrong to mess around with people’s face and then block and delete them. I could never use their device as I didn’t trust it to put it on anyone’s face. I have been silent for 8 months now. I have decided to share my experience so that no one else would go through what I am going through. The reason I got treatment because they had no models that day. And Holly Gough (TaMokoSKN )asked us to model for each other. I told Holly Gough that I was skin type 4 (Fitzpatrick chart). I have doubt if she knew what this means. She used Plasma Pen Electronic Skin Type Sensor and it showed I was type 3. I insisted I am not the right candidate. She said you will be fine. There wasn’t enough model. She didn’t really care. And I am suffering since then.
The. Funny part is the have blocked me everywhere.

Immigrantsong · 15/08/2020 13:16

Gosh, all these stories sound horrendous. I hope you are all well and sure the hell out of these s called professionals. No one should be allowed to disfigurement people and get away with it.

nomisa · 29/08/2020 08:25

hi - is there any improvements in the scarring :( ? I also had a treatment done which has well left me with those indents all around the area.

I'm so sorry to hear this. How you were treated is appalling. This is a problem that is their fault so they at least owe you help in fixing the problems the treatment has caused. I'm not saying necessarily take legal action but if they have blocked you and are leaving you suffering on silence it may be something to consider. My heart goes out to you.

Yes my scarring has improved but it has taken quite a while. It has been 1 year and 5 months and the scarring/indents have improved A LOT. For me to say that is a big deal because I pick myself apart.

The scarring isnt noticeable to others any more but I of course can still see them because it's my own face. But I don't feel suicidal when I look in the mirror anymore which is incredible.

I honestly felt that my skin would never improve but it did. Just give your skin time. Take a collagen supplement, consider getting microneedling etc to speed up the process but I believe the skin can heal it on its own as well. It just takes time and patience. I'm here if anyone needs to chat.

OP posts:
beaut23 · 11/09/2020 19:56

The healing process is a journey. If anyone else is still struggling with scarring please let me know because I can't begin to tell you how much my skin has improved. It has been almost a year and a half since I got the treatment but it has improved bit by bit over this time. Please be patient.

I'm thinking about documenting my journey because it has been such a difficult time looking in the mirror since having this treatment done. I want to warn others of what has happened to us so that they consider the risks for going through with it.

Thanks for sharing you experience beaut23, I had this procedure done here in Mexico around 1 month ago and omg... the result is awful. I have the same pitting everyone is talking about in my upper eyelid and its still incredible red. I am trying not let it get to me that much, but as time goes by I am honestly feeling worse each day. I am taking extreme care like wearing sunscreen everyday, I am also using a treatment that´s supposed to be really good for scarring healing and prevention, and I think I will start with the collagen supplement.

I will let everyone know how my healing process goes.

Rxoro72 · 29/09/2020 05:45

I’m sorry to hear you went through that for over a year / I also had it done and have the indents but it’s been almost a month since the treatment. The instructor said the procedure was done correctly but then why the indentations? Do you have pics of the improvement? I am taking Neocell and applying vitamin e and mederma -

Rxoro72 · 29/09/2020 05:46

Let me know how your healing process is going

CSIblonde · 01/10/2020 11:26

I'd try Nivea extra rich moisturiser on them. It has almond oil in it so great on scars & for replumping ageing skin.

Lilbabe · 09/10/2020 01:12

It has been 8 weeks already and I had an appointment with the practitioner who did my treatment. She (obviously) said that the way my skin is looking is normal and that I just need to give it more time, but that she cant tell exactly how long it will take for my skin to be normal again. I do see my skin getting better in some areas, but its just so little improvement that I’m getting extremely desperate, I don’t know if I can believe what she told me anymore; and she also said not to put anything on the scar so the appointment was useless. Maybe I will try going with a dermatologist and see what they say.

@beaut23 do you have any other advice for us? In what area did you have the treatment done?

HairlessChinnyChinChin · 14/10/2020 18:20

Has anyone had this done on their double chin and it has worked well?

Dandan75 · 16/10/2020 00:21

Hi I'm just reading through your posts. I Thought I would share my experience.
I had my whole eyes done upper and lower on the 11th of September. Day 1 was fine, day 2 to 6 I looked like a sharpei. Seriously swollen. I looked like the back end of a bus. I followed all the advice. Im on 5 weeks now and most of the holes have gone. I have a few very noticeable pitted holes just above 1 eyebrow. Im hoping they also go like the others. I have noticed a massive difference in my hooded eyelids. But I have to say the pain was like nothing I have ever gone through and I have had 3 kids naturally. Im glad its done. I wouldn't want to go through it again. But I probably will as I'm a glutton for punishment. If you have pit holes still and your under 3 months post treatment, don't panic, try not to worry.
Keep the factor 50 going, use bio oil of a night and take some marine collagen supplements to help you along. And do not go near anybody who is not fully licensed. Because if this thing goes wrong you will be left devastated. Good luck. Im still waiting on a few holes to dissappear my self but I'm sure they will xx

sumzpien · 16/10/2020 06:36

Hello, I have left scarred after plasmapen too. Right after I have treated with gel to treat scars and massage (just push the scar tissue with finger tips for 30 sec and then release, do it for 10 minutes 2 times a day). And then, after 2 or 3 weeks after treatment, chemical peeling (for example BiorepeelCL3) and microneedling. Find some professional. I thing it can definetely fix the problem, even when it is old. And if still not, there is also laser resurfacing option... give it a try and let me know the results:) Thanks and good luck

Kelxxx · 16/10/2020 14:42

Hi there, I have recently just had plasma pen treatment and I’m only 5 days in but instead of having brown dots I’m just left with red swollen very dry flakey skin can anyone please advise if I should now moisturise as I don’t think the treatment really worked that well on me x

Clarabellgrace · 31/10/2020 03:51

I have a fibroblast plasma pen and have used it once 2 weeks ago to remove sebaceous hyperplasia bumps on my face. I was very cautious as I know I can redo these whenever I choose because I have my own pen. Anyway I am pleased with the results. I will give a couple of them further blasts in a couple of weeks, but this is a great tool for my facial issue. So far, so good.

Sherrianne · 30/11/2020 05:51

I had the fibroblast pen one month ago on my forehead and upper eye lids and around both eyes. I am sick to my stomach. I was so excited and now a month later I have holes all over my face. I can hardly look in the mirror!! Never again 😢
