What do you think of my wedding dress

Getting married in 3 weeks, low key affair. Just the 4 kids and the 2 of us in a registry office.

Bought a dress I love but DD14 has said she hates it and I look like something from the 80s so has given me a crisis of confidence and thinking maybe this is the wrong choice!

Would appreciate some impartial and objective views.... thanks

I don't like it, it's too frilly and doesn't look special enough for a wedding dress. You do look good in it though and have a great figure, if you like it and feel confident in it, that's all that matters.

DPotter · 01/12/2018 20:56

Sorry - late to the party! The AsOS dress is much nicer !!!!!
Have a wonderful day!

What we think doesn't matter. Stick to your guns.

Oh, cracking update. You look good in both because you’ve got a lovely figure, but I wasn’t keen on the neckline of the first dress. The second one looks amazing on you.

TheRealHousewifeofCheshire · 01/12/2018 21:03

Second dress is beautiful

E20mom · 01/12/2018 21:06

I love the second dress! Your daughter's done you a great favour as you look amazing in the new one Smile

fringegrin45 · 01/12/2018 22:09

Jaffacakebeast · 01/12/2018 23:31

It’s a no from me, not especially flattering either, but as every1 says, it’s totally how u feel

AwakeNow · 02/12/2018 10:15

The silver dress is really nice on you. It adds a touch of formality, and importance to the occasion.

BubonicWoman · 02/12/2018 10:42

You look amazing in the second dress have a fabulous day
Late to the thread I was pondering how to be polite about the first dress

MoltonSilver · 02/12/2018 12:30

Oh yes, definitely the second dress. Beautiful. It suits your figure perfectly.

TheMagician · 02/12/2018 13:13

I agree it's not hanging quite right on your waist.

TheMagician · 02/12/2018 13:13

i prefer the second dress!

ggirl · 02/12/2018 14:50

You look great in the 2nd one , I do think you might need a more supportive bra . Hope that doesn't offend you .

adoggymum · 02/12/2018 17:27

The second dress is beautiful! Much more age appropriate :) you look gorgeous! X

neveradullmoment99 · 02/12/2018 21:12

Much more age appropriate
Hmm

Beahun · 06/12/2018 22:15

@Toooldtobedoingthis Love your new dress! Congratulations and have a fab day! x

1MillionSelfiesTakenByMyKids · 06/12/2018 22:33

Another one saying the silver looks lovely. I might have to agree with the PP who suggested a more supportive bra might be sonething typo consider. Little trip to bravissimmo for some fancy undies...? They had sone beautiful silvery blue silk and lace jobs in September ;-)

GinIsIn · 31/12/2018 11:13

How was the wedding?!

Toooldtobedoingthis · 31/12/2018 19:13

Thank you for remembering! It was fantastic - am trying to post a photo but it won't let me! Wedding dress was lovely after all the advice
