What do you think of my wedding dress

Getting married in 3 weeks, low key affair. Just the 4 kids and the 2 of us in a registry office.

Bought a dress I love but DD14 has said she hates it and I look like something from the 80s so has given me a crisis of confidence and thinking maybe this is the wrong choice!

Would appreciate some impartial and objective views.... thanks

I really don’t like it. Seems really busy and from what I can tell you have a lovely figure and this dress is doing nothing for you.

@reddeadroach that seems to be my daughter's view... the sleeves and top half are not good (to say the least).

Trouble is 22/12 wedding and unless I want to look like I've stayed out from my Christmas party the night before there's limited choice that isn't sequins or black velvet- would welcome any other suggestions!

I can see why your teenage daughter might not like it, but I think it looks lovely and if you like it and feel good in it then that is all that matters. Congratulations! X

@Warsaw0912 it's from needle and thread. Totally not my usual thing, normally jeans and a t shirt, but still not sure... need inspiration!

Don't take wedding dress advice from a 14 year old!

You have great legs, a nice figure. I quite like the dress, but it might look a bit dishwater-coloured and raggedy in photographs. If you have time, you could look for something along these lines (soft, ladylike, above the knee) but less busy.

Oh, 19 in favour and 21 say no (22 including my 14 year old). What else then, that doesn't make me look like I'm off to my works Christmas party afterwards?!
