Just finished an Omorovicza cleansing foam. Stupidly priced and imo not overly good. I even think mine might have had something not quite right with it cos it had 'bits' in it (like little hard white balls) and also was ridiculously hard to get out of the tube - you had to really forcibly squeezed and bent back and forth to try and get the last few bits out.

Also used up No7 daily polish - was nice enough but nothing special over any other body scrub.

CantChoose · 05/12/2019 21:06

Hi all - hope everyone is well!
Sorry I’ve been awol. Been busy with MiniCant and neglecting my product use almost as much as I’ve been neglecting this thread!
Off the top of my head I’ve used

  • fenjal shower stuff ?creame, alright, not my favourite scent really
  • lavender organic SLS free children’s shampoo and conditioner - quite nice but hair a bit lank if I used for too many days in a row. Can’t remember the brand. Was free full size with a magazine subscription.
  • Lancôme hydrazen ?sp day and night creams gift set size. Felt nice to use but found the smell surprisingly old lady like to me which is odd as I don’t think it’s their target market! Maybe it’s just me!
  • clarins orange coloured tube day cream. Was nice.

I’ve been using Lancôme micellar water which was in a free gift thing, I’m finding it really drying. Anyone else?

CantChoose · 05/12/2019 21:08

Oh oh and a full Size righteous butter soap and glory. I like their stuff but the pots are so big I get bored so I’m proud of that one!
I’m using their mandarin shower cream right now, will probably still e using it this time next year!

Caggie09 · 06/12/2019 15:37

Body Shop drops of youth sheet mask.
Ive been so lazy with my skincare and when i dont do it my eczema flares and my face flakes. This really helped and my makeup didnt look awful the next morning. Would possibly repurchase, but ive stacks of face masks...

ememem84 · 06/12/2019 16:22

Tresseme keratin smooth shampoo and conditioner done.

Experiment627 · 08/12/2019 18:10

@Lamentations when I get sweating is drips into mouth and tastes yuk! Plus I did not feel like it was doing anything for my skin.

@NCbecauseitspersonal 21 years!!!!!!!!! I am not sure why I am shocked... I am pretty sure I have make up older 😂😂😂

@CantChoose how is Minicant?

I had a good clear out of my shampoos and conditioners and gave to my SIL - felt so good to be rid... my quest for something that works on my hair continues...

I have an empty:

  • M&S rose roll on: staple for me but I am going to try something different as I find that is wise with deodorant

Am quite enjoying my two advents

CantChoose · 08/12/2019 18:35

@Experiment627 a nightmare at the moment, to be honest! But I know I’m blessed to have him and this too shall pass etc etc
Coming back on here has encouraged me to go through my stash and get rid of some. So watch this space!

Caggie09 · 08/12/2019 18:48

Body Shop Ginger Shampoo, made my scalp feel very clean but my hair starts looking unclean after a day after washing. Trying to find something that prolongs this..
Avon Vanilla Caramel bubble bath, this is a brill dupe for Laura Mercier Creme Brullee bath creme and costs £2.50 for a litre. Scents a little sickly sometimes. Will repurchase in the future.
Clarins firming day cream. Used up on my neck, not much to say about this..

Caggie09 · 08/12/2019 18:50

Forgot one🥴 Poundland Avocado & Oat face mask. Must of got 10 uses out pf the pot so for 10p a use its not to bad. Nothing spectacular happend, nice for a pamper.

ememem84 · 08/12/2019 21:32

@CantChoose how old is ds now?

Dd is going through a bit of a phase. But she rolled over today from her front to her back. So she’s a genius! 😂

Dsis gave me some advent calendar goodies from her friend. Mini mane and tail shampoo and conditioner. 👍🏻

CantChoose · 08/12/2019 23:28

@ememem84 10 months!! He’s lovely but his sleep has randomly gone to shit. And that makes us both grumpy in the day!
And his feeding is off too. I suspect he’s either got little bit of a cold with a sore throat or might have some more teeth on the way. Whatever it is I hope it passes soon!
I’ve thrown out PUR magnetic mascara today. Really didn’t like it. Flakes all over my face. I looked like a chimney sweep Grin

RiskIt4Biscuit · 09/12/2019 00:24

I’ve had to bin a Lumene liquid blusher as it has gone bad - when I opened it, it sounded fizzy and it doesn’t smell right.
Pity as I really liked how it looked on.

I didn’t use it much as it was a bit too annoying to deal with the liquid (use pipette dropper to get product out on palette and apply with brush from there) - I have a baby so need quick and easy products.

ememem84 · 09/12/2019 12:45

Palmers coconut oil hair mask gone. Used it in the shower this morning. Probably won’t rebuy.

I am planning a no beauty spend January. And February. I’m pretty sure I have enough stuff to get me through. Maybe even until March.

Experiment627 · 09/12/2019 19:47

@CantChoose sorry things are hard at the mo. I hear you. I too feel really blessed with Kwicklet but things have been SO tough! More fool me for thinking I could do this alone... I do not regret a second except all those lie ins I could have had before he came!

@ememem84 pure genius 🥰

@CantChoose argh!! Teething!!!! Minefield!!!

Now DS is asleep may just open up my advents for the day....

ememem84 · 09/12/2019 21:04

@CantChoose oooh teething. I think we’re over that with ds now. But Dd is only 4.5 months. So the cycle begins again.

@Experiment627 I forgot you were solo parenting. Good work mama. You’re doing amazing. Remember that.

I have properly checked the stash this evening and I definetly have enough to last me. So am absolutely doing a no spend [time period]

Experiment627 · 13/12/2019 12:41

Thanks @ememem84 😘😘

I have an empty:

  • Sanctuary Spa melt away cleansing oil: ok but not a patch on the now discontinued No7 one 😭😭😭😭😭😭

Experiment627 · 13/12/2019 12:44

I have taken a day's holiday and am having a pamper day - had Urban Massage come and give me a massage and facial, in a bit I am having my hair done and then my nails sorted.... supposed to be sorting Christmas but it is SO nice to have some "me time"

OP posts:
ememem84 · 14/12/2019 08:10

Good job @Experiment627 sometimes a bit of self care me time is necessary.

I have finished a bar of dove soap. Moved on to a hotel freebee l’occitane lemon verbena soap. Not as nice as the dove one. Possibly a bit too old. Smells soapy. Not lemony.

I do love a lemon soap.

LivingDeadGirlUK · 14/12/2019 22:34

I've finished a couple of products!

Soap and Glory plumping moisturiser, it was nice but prefer my usual Simple moisturiser.

Body Shop green tea body sorbet. Loved how light this was and great scent but even if it was still available I have stopped buying body shop because of the MLM side.

Caggie09 · 15/12/2019 18:18

Think ill join you ememem84 in the no spend months! Makes me cringe even thinking about how much ive spent this year on "stuff"🥴

Anyway! Empties:

Zoella cream scrub. Crap, like a cleansing balm for your body!

Sol De Janeiro bum bum cream, im getting 2 more in advent calendars so it was time to use it up. I really fancy the candle they do too, but sold out on Cult beautySad

Lush Honey i washed the kids shower gel. This is the smallest sized bottle, would repurchase not my favourite scent tbh..

Aveda volumizing tonic. Meh, not really bothered by it tbh..

Lacura moisturising face wash. Use this as my second cleanse, got another 2 to use after that wont repurchase..

One thats going in the bin is Olay illuminating eye cream, this product juat sits under your eye. Awful.

Few bits ive got out of advents are getting regifted as i dont want them and i have no use. NARS Orgasm blusher duo, Body Shop Musk toilette and an aromatherapy deep relax oil (already recieved another one!) So straight back out my stash!

ememem84 · 15/12/2019 21:18

Dsis gifted me some advent calendar mane and tail. So will give that a whirl. I’ve used the actual horsey one on my hair and it left it fairly squeaky clean. Smelled horrific though. But again it was the horsey one.

Have also opened up a clarins extra forming neck cream which must have come with a gift set. I don’t need to really firm my neck but I’m using it anyway. It’s only a travel size one.

Experiment627 · 16/12/2019 08:29

My nose hair removal device had arrived - will give it a whirl in a bit yes I am a little scared

I have two empties:

  • Superdrug B Hyaluronic Acid Facial Spritz: such good value and lovely in the summer
  • Drunken Elephant B-hydra serum: just a sample tub but well... meh did not feel/see any difference

I am off to open up my advents for today....

CantChoose · 16/12/2019 10:36

Hats off to you for the solo parenting @Experiment627

I’ve finished a gift set size M&S coconut body scrub. It was awful. Hardly any exfoliating bits. Not worth the effort!

And a shaving foam. Bot sure that counts!

Caggie09 · 17/12/2019 15:30

Used up a BubbleT lemongrass & green tea sheet mask. I was that relaxed when using this is fell asleepBlush my face was nice and soft though when i woke up!
