Last night I finished Boots Vitamin E day cream. Yes, I know that it's a bit odd to use a day cream at night but I wanted to finish it!
I really like it and it makes my skin feel lovely but it doesn't have SPF in it so I don't think I'll buy it again.

Crazybunnylady123 · 04/10/2019 17:42

Finished up an O’Keefe’s foot cream today, a L’occitane peach 10ml foot cream last week and I’m nearly through with a nature’s Response foot soak. Working on a H&B tube of Aloe vera gel, there’s probably a third left now!

ememem84 · 06/10/2019 11:39

Sample size double serum used.

RoseyPeas · 06/10/2019 13:13

Eeeeek! I tidied out a cupboard today and found another load of unopened toiletries!!!

At least a couple of products are over 10 years old as I remember buying them to give to my great aunt as a present. And she died over 10 years ago!Blush

Oh well, it's progress to find them.

Caggie09 · 07/10/2019 21:44

Rose bath slab-Liked it, have one more.
Sally hansen polish remover.
Essie Gel setter- was Holy Grail, getting bored now.
Neals yard Frankinsense lift serum. Didnt notice anything drastic.
Mitchum roll on. Holy grail.
Zoella pretty polished scrub- purely picked this up because it was a pound, not because in a fanBlush thought it was going to be shit, was actually pretty good. Have another o e, but more of a balm. Will report back when empty!
Love, Beauty and Planet Coconut Hydro gel. Not keen, nore suited for summer to sink in your body quicker.. have another in back up.
Fresh Soy face cleanser sachet. Smelt funnyHmm

My SpaceNK advent arrived today, Very excited[santa]

Experiment627 · 08/10/2019 08:40

Dr Jart chin and neck mask.. obviously i didnt notice a difference😂

Another double serum sachet used plus a dove bar soap.

ememem84 · 13/10/2019 10:19

I wore blue eyeshadow last night. Peacock sparkly blue. Lots of navy eyeliner. Black mascara. It looked ace.

No pics though.

Crazybunnylady123 · 13/10/2019 17:41

Nature’s response foot soak empty, second loccitaine small foot cream will be finished tomorrow. Down to two foot creams now!
Moving on to face masks next, how on Earth do I have so many. Will try and use up the pots and tubes first. Most of my sheet masks were bought this year.

saucyspice · 13/10/2019 20:41

@Writersblock2 Glad I am not the only one!

Have another few empties in the past week or so:

Rosie autograph eau de parfum - really love this perfume, smells very similar to the Chloe scents and lovely for this time of year! This is the second bottle I have repurchased and may purchase again the future.

NYX Hydratouch primer - this was ok but not sure I'd purchase again.

NYX angel veil primer - don't think I'd purchase this again as it was ok but not particularly suited to my dry skin.

Am putting myself on a no beauty spending ban until the end of the year now as I keep getting sucked in to buying new things and realising they're never worth the hype!

CottonHeadedNinyMuggins · 14/10/2019 21:58

Evening all :)

I have already bought myself a glossybox advent calendar (my friend bought me a years worth of glossybox sub and I'd been saving the respective survey points up towards it so it cost veryvery little in actual cash... I wasn't going to spend them on anything else so it was a bargain - technically!) and I'd like to repurchase the M&S one again this year - and potentially the amazon one when it's knocked down in black friday ... so I need to use the samples and similar up (i know - irony!) in advance.

I've had a make up clear out this last week and cleared quite a bit of stuff out and also used up:

  • Cos De Baha Pure Hyaluronic Acid Serum - wouldn't buy again, perhaps I used a bit too much but it made my face sticky and wouldn't sink in.
  • sample pot of l'occitane immortelle divine cream - wouldn't buy again, really don't like the smell.
  • mitchum deodrant - I have hyperhidrosis all over my body so need a really good powerful deoderant (i've tried the prescription ones - not worth the painfully inflamed armpits). Usually mitchum was really good but the last 2 sprays I've used up have done no better than any other deoderant.

I've lots of other bits I'm nearly used up ... each time I think they're done some more comes out! I made a resolution to start looking after myself this year - It's only taken 10 months Grin

CottonHeadedNinyMuggins · 14/10/2019 22:00

I agree Saucy! I'm also banning myself from buying anything new - other than the advent calendars I've already budgeted for - because there's just too much to use and it all keeps piling on top and not getting used!

RoseyPeas · 15/10/2019 17:32

Ha ha Cotton! I made that resolution last advent and lasted 2 weeks, then started again in June. I have stopped looking after myself in the last couple of weeks for no reason other than laziness.

I have so much to use up and it gets overwhelming. Tried to give some to women's refuge but they aren't taking donations currently.

I'm joining you Cotton and Saucy and banning myself from beauty product spending until Xmas.

Anyone got any tips for using up body lotions. I have approximately 1 million of them. Can I use them instead of shower gel or bath cream???!

CottonHeadedNinyMuggins · 15/10/2019 19:13

I think that might potentially make the bath/shower a bit dangerous and slippy potentially, Rosey. Can you repurpose them as stocking fillers? Padding out in beauty hampers to say a younger relative/friend for pampering for Christmas? A girls night in pamper? Charity shop donation? Kids school fayre?

I get what you mean - I love the feeling of using something up and starting a new 'thing'... but there's just too much!

Caggie09 · 16/10/2019 07:56

I also feel overwhelmed by all this stuff, i also love finishing something and moving on to another product i can dig out. There is far too much though, it will probably take me 2 years just to get through all my shampooBlush After my advent calendar spree's im going to stop buying stuff!

RoseyPeas · 17/10/2019 23:15

Well I tried it Cotton and you were right. My husband complained that the bath is really slippery.

It's alright though as he has life insurance Grin

CottonHeadedNinyMuggins · 18/10/2019 09:21

Grin and you can spend that money on more beauty products.

.... I mean oh wait! No! I'm so to hear that, I hope it won't be needed!

(totally covered it up right? 😜)

LivingDeadGirlUK · 19/10/2019 18:34

I have finished a vanilla pumpkin hand cream from the body shop. I loved the scent of this but its isn't the best hand cream, feels a little greasy.

I've also finished a sample body wash that was so old the name had rubbed off O_o it was picked up in a hotel many moons ago and sat at the bottom of my bag for emergencies.

saucyspice · 20/10/2019 22:03

A few more use ups from me:

Clinique TTDO Cleansing balm - this was good but not something I'd repurchase. Found it a bit basic and not luxury enough. Moving on to the Beautypie apricot cleansing balm.

Nivea in shower body lotion - love this and so easy to use. The bottle didn't last me long at all though...have another one of these to use and will probably repurchase after.

Superdrug vitamin e body lotion with dragonfruit - used up one of the massive tubs of these today! Actually quite like this and a great budget option. Also have another of these to use but the standard vitamin e/no dragonfruit.

Aveeno body lotion with menthol for itch relief - this was perfect for when my dry itchy legs were driving me mad! Definitely helped to soothe them. My legs aren't so bad now but would maybe repurchase in the future if I needed to.

I seem to have used up a lot of body lotions in the last week or so but my skin has been crazy dry so have been using both morning and night!

Have a lovely week!

Caggie09 · 21/10/2019 05:57

A few more have no departed me!

Asda Colour Care conditioner. This was awful, made my hair knotty after using it. Was like a herbal essence dupe..

Ole Henrikson Glow OH dark spot toner. I liked this, was only a sample size but felt it was really effective, prefer it over the glycolic ordinary one. Have more bottles of toner to use uo to even think of buying.

Butter bear shower jelly. Novelty has worn of with shower jellies! Tear apart in the shower, spemd more trying to scoop the parts back up!

Smashbox photo finish mini. This was a small sample size, the primers good, but i hate the texture. I have a bigger size out of an advent too, but it feels so siliconey!

Thats all for nowSmile

Experiment627 · 23/10/2019 15:47

I am still holding out on getting a beauty advent... I think I just over did it too much last year with 5....

When do you know it is time to shave your legs again? When your 1 year old starts trying to pull the hairs out Grin

Any way I have a few empties:

  • The Body Shop pink grapefruit shower gel: love this smell, will no doubt get again next summer
  • Sanctuary 1 minute daily glow mask: meh
  • Elysium Spa Epsom salts lavender bath & shower gel: not bad for £1

I never get the chance to look at my hoard any more - I really need to take a look

CottonHeadedNinyMuggins · 23/10/2019 22:08

I think I have a magic self-replenishing tube of night time moisturiser. Everytime I think it's empty another big splodge comes out. Haven't even cut it open to check for last bits yet...! Grin

CottonHeadedNinyMuggins · 24/10/2019 12:19

Finally used up my formula absolute M&S ultimate sleep cream.

Although a 15ml tube, it lasted forever. A little goes a long way but I wouldn't buy it again as I found it leaves my skin very sticky afterwards and doesn't properly sink in.

I used the last little bit about 45 mins ago to get it out and just lightly tapping my face now it still sticky. In the mirror it looks like I'm perspiring. Not a fan!
