Finished a faith in nature tea tree shampoo, lovely on my hair but a bit drying on the scalp so trying the dragonfruit one next.

I am getting my first Beauty advent calander this year :D my partner has got me the Amazon one and I'm so excited :D

IPokeBadgers · 18/11/2019 19:53

Finished up an elemis facial oil....liked this, have another one in the stash. Also Boots No 7 Face creams....both day and night creams. They are fine, came from last year's big no7 gift. Am going to try not to buy it this year though....avoided the elemis TSV cos have lots of unopened products, will have to avoid the no7 one too!

ememem84 · 19/11/2019 21:14

Opened the calendar. Dh sort of persuaded me.

So many lovely things!!

Just used a radiance boosting (supposedly) sheet mask.

Skin feels very fresh and tingly now. Not sure if it’s got any more radiance to it

CottonHeadedNinyMuggins · 20/11/2019 00:08

Last few weeks:

Used up a garnier micellar water - i do like it but I felt sticky after it for a little while. I'm not sure if that's the point or if it wasn't quite right. Moved to a No7 one now

Pattiserie de bain sugared violet hand cream - it was nice and i'd buy it again but i've thousands of hand creams to work through at the moment.

Collection 2000 Illuminating touch concealer - nice but wouldn't buy again as it didn't hide the circles as well as others do.

Mally Flawless Finish foundation - it 'did' but other brands work better for me. Back to No7 Stay Perfect. It didn't hide imperfections well and seemed to be like a magnet for my hair. Found it a messy application too which is weird considering it's like a compact (but liquid) rather than just a bottle.

This Works - In Transit Camera Close Up - didn't like the smell, left feeling tacky

O'Keeffe's Lip Repair - didn't like the smell or taste - did it's job though.

Morocanoil Treatement - will definitely buy again. Smelt beautiful and transformed my hair. Only a tiny amount needed.

Lamentations · 20/11/2019 17:40

I had a few more things near the end so I've now also finished:

Garnier 7 day Shea body lotion. Had this ages and like it a lot but I have a lot of body lotion so although I may repurchase, I'm not in a rush.

Shea Moisture African Black Soap body lotion. Really nice, smells amazing, so thick and rich you can barely get it out of the bottle so really should come in a tub. I had the body wash as well and that was lovely too - and actually black, which was cool. I've got a different one from the same brand to try next.

Superdrug vitamin E hot cloth cleanser. I've opened another one already. A decent thick cream that properly gets my makeup off. I have a few other cleansers that are 'nicer' but don't do the job so well.

Lamentations · 20/11/2019 17:43

CottonHead Nadine Baggot always says micellar water should be followed with a rinse of water as it's essential a detergent. I've got the Bioderma blue one and it feels similar but I don't mind it.

CottonHeadedNinyMuggins · 21/11/2019 00:11

Thank you, Lamentations. I'll do that in the future :)

ememem84 · 21/11/2019 07:20

Soap and glory under eye pad soap used up last night. Whether they did anything is yet to be seen but it felt nice and cooling while I was using them.

ememem84 · 21/11/2019 07:21

Under eye pads. Not soap. Not sure where the soap came from

Experiment627 · 24/11/2019 17:27

I have a few empties:

  • Loreal Revita Lift day cream spf 30: yuk! Tastes awful too
  • Origins make a difference plus+ serum: ok but not wow
  • Body Shop vitamin E serum in oil: great value for money
  • Formula radiance reveal peel: this was awful I wonder if it had gone off

I may have had a small splurge in Space NK Grin

Oh I rate that Revitalift OP, what didn't you like about it?

I've finished a Dove conditioner at the gym today and will probably Bon the dregs of the matching shampoo as it smells of strong, cheap perfume (and not at all of Dove, which I love).

I also finished a blue top tube of Aveeno, which I desperately need to replace as it's the only thing that sorts my hands out properly.

I bought 4 bottles off OGX shampoo and conditioner today...

Caggie09 · 26/11/2019 07:29

Ive fell off the thread so just popping back on!

@70isaLimitNotaTarget, just read that your keeping your bodyshop bottles, they dont give you a reward anymore! You can still recyclye them instore though, but no £5 reward!

ememem84 · 26/11/2019 21:50

Max factor brown/black mascara gone. I think this was a freebee. I didn’t like it. But had it to use so did.

NCbecauseitspersonal · 27/11/2019 08:26

Just finished Avon foundation. It was very good but it only suits me during the winter!

My big news is I have put my very precious guerlain meteorites powder perles into my makeup bag to start using them up. I have had them longer than I have been married. Been married 21 years. Generally haven’t used them much because they make a real dusty mess of the dressing-table/bathroom. However now I will be putting them on over the sink at work, easy to clean! I love them but they need a lot of sweeping with a brush. I don’t know how long the box will last as it is only cardboard ..

RiskIt4Biscuit · 02/12/2019 17:20

Finished a Maria Nila repair shampoo. It was nice, but I prefer the heal shampoo.
I do have a lot of shampoos to use up before buying more though.

On a different note, Pat McGrath has a cyber Monday offer on some of her lipsticks on her website- usually they're £37, now £10. I got 3 and paid £5 for shipping.
Already have some of her other products and they're pretty good.

Lamentations · 02/12/2019 17:48

Oh good grief RiskIt, your post has cost me £25.

ememem84 · 02/12/2019 21:30

Went through the samples jar today.

I’ve put loccitane soap in the bathroom and the matching body lotion on my dressing table.

Three sachets of hand cream have made their way into my “emergency” kit in my handbag.

I sprayed and ditched a mystery jo Malone perfume sample (far too floral for my liking)

And have just used a sachet of Elemis super serum on my face.

Samples of bumble and bumblebee shampoo and conditioner, clarins fit body cream and palmers coconut oil cream are also on dressing table/in bathroom as applicable.

Ditched samples of aqua di Parma ladies fragrance. Hated the smell.

Caggie09 · 03/12/2019 08:46

Radox stress relief bubble bath. I like this, cheap and i think it helps me sleep better?

Ren kelp anti fatigue bath oil. It was a nice, bath wouldnt repurchase. Only a sample size.

Revlon foundation. Holy grail😊

Algenist sleeping collagen night cream. This was so thick, the tiny 8ml pot lasted me ages. My skin always lookes good in the morning and never flaky or dry. Wont repurchase as far to expensive!

Lacura healthy glow rose oil. Wasnt bad, highly fragrant though. Im still to find an oil that beats clarins..

Lee Stafford choco locks butter cream treatment. My hair smelt like chocolate for about 4 hours, but i liked it. Hair looked healthy in the morning. Have one sachet left. I liked it purely for scent...

Opitat? Exfoliating charcoal mask. What a mess! The powder needs a drop of water to form a paste.. my tap didnt play ball. So its a watery black mess on my face. Glad its gone though had it knocking about for years!

Feather and down body oil. Skins alaays nice and soft in the morning!

Koko star blossom sheet mask. Used for travelling- not brillant but its gone!

Red ken sample sachets- Again Travelling. Cant tell a major difference from one wash!

Rituals foam shower gel. Cant remember the scent wasnt keen, used it for travel.

Feather and down shower cream. I love the scent of there stuff, but this smelt weird🥴

Had a small spend it Sephora, if its not our currency it doesnt countWink Also bought a Diptyque gift set, with shower oil and eau de toilette. Im also opening advents and that will add 74 products in my stash, maybe more as you get more than one product some daysXmas Grin Next year im well and truly bringing my spending down on beauty products!

RiskIt4Biscuit · 03/12/2019 12:35

Just finished an Alpha-H liquid gold 200ml bottle.
I absolutely love this, and have another bottle already. It has improved my skin massively - fewer spots and my skin just looks better. I can't imagine not wanting to use this anymore.

ememem84 · 03/12/2019 14:43

L’occitane lemon verbena body lotion gone. This was a hotel toiletries size. Nice smell.

Caggie09 · 03/12/2019 19:57

Body Shop Pumpkin Vanilla shower gel and body butter. Love these scents. Will buy next year!

ememem84 · 03/12/2019 22:25

Small tub of take the day off balm used up. Yay.

CottonHeadedNinyMuggins · 03/12/2019 22:34

Finished a few creams etc this week:

Balance Me Wonder Eye Cream - noticed no difference when I started it as to when I ended it so wouldn't purchase again.

Neutrogena Visibly Clear Spot Clearing - I would purchase this again as it did it's job but it appears to have been discontinued and relaunched so hopefully they haven't changed it.

The Hero Project Instant Moisture Boost - Moisturising gel rather than cream - was unusual at first. It was very nice but it doesn't feel as hydrating as other creams so I wouldn't purchase it again.

Skyn Iceland Berry Lip Fix - I liked that it was a bit tingly and cooling but it felt weird on the lips as it'd melt and spread further than you meant it to go.

ememem84 · 04/12/2019 10:12

Sample of clarins body fit cream used. And palmers coconut oil body lotion.

Nice but probably won’t buy.

ememem84 · 04/12/2019 20:27

Soap and glory moisture plumping sheet mask on at present. Not something I’d necessarily buy for myself but it is nice
