Face tinkerers - Profhilo is flippin' brill

I have started many threads over the years about the non-surgical fixes I have had: botox, liquid face lift, threads etc... Anyway, about a year and a half ago I did realise that I was looking a bit done - my honest friend told me and she was right - I thought I was subtle but tweakage is cumulative and before you know it ... well, you know.

I am still very interested in all that shizz so I popped to my clinic and asked if there was anything that would not freeze my face, make me look less knackered but still my age (46) . That's when they recommended Profhilo.
It's a course of two treatments a month apart. 5 injections on each side of the face with pure hyarulonic acid which then spreads across your face and encourages your own collagen and elastin to rebuild.V clever.
I had my first round on Tuesday so expected no results whatsoever but woke up on Saturday with the skin of a baby. It already feels dead plump, pores have disappeared and there is some slight lifting. It's not even supposed to be working yet but I feel I look so much better.

Cannot wait to see full results after two treatments.

Sorry i’m only just seeing this... yes i’m referring to vertical wrinkles on my neck, where the skin is lose at the front. Yea I haven’t noticed them on too many others. I think it’s something to do with the length of my neck- I’m like a giraffe

Hi ladies, I’ve just joined mumsnet after reading the rave reviews about profhilo. Had fillers and Botox in past but not had great results. Live near Bolton so would like advice about good clinic that’s value for money. My local clinic charges 750 for 2 treatments. And they want £50 for consultation!! I actually live in Bury. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. I’m 53 and looking a bit worn!!

Don''t believe the hype. Filler gives a better result. Profilo is painful, expensive, leaves you with weird bumps on your face for a few days & doesn't give you much volume.

Completely agree black swan.

Rose - dermabella/emma on the outskirts of Preston is fab.

Rose I have just had my second round of Profhilo and am happy with my skin improvement so far, it is not a filler but definitely makes a difference to the hollows under the eyes and condition of skin. I go to jlb aesthetics In Heywood. Lovely clinic . Will post photos in 4 weeks

Hi there
I’m thinking of trying Profhilo injections. Any advise any recommendations for where to get it done. I’m in the north west of England. Thank you 😊😊

Hi there
Would you mind giving me details of where you had your treatment. I really need good recommendations & Bolton is quite near to me too Smile

I am 32 and have had 4 sets of profhilo over 18 months after reading all the fabulous reviews...but I didn't notice much difference at all. My skin looked nice for the first month, very hydrated and glowing, but that's it. No difference to thin skin around eyes (Celtic skin) no extra firmness and my marionette lines are still rather pronounced (ex smoker). It's not a miracle sadly. Am getting filler for my marionettes and may try sunekos for around my eyes.
