Seeing as the Spencer wedding thread in S&B was so popular, here's a thread to discuss all royal fashion.

(If we could stick to critiquing the clothes rather than the women wearing them then that would be great!)

True. She was absolutely thrilled to bits with him and couldn't take her eyes off him!

Going back to Mathilde of Belgium for a moment, I think I read somewhere that she's one of only two European queens or crown princesses who is from the nobility herself. I can't remember who the other one is.

Looking at Kate and Louis reminds me of me and ds2 who will be my last child. I don't have a favourite but I am enjoying every moment of my last baby. He might be the same for Kate? It's really beautiful to see (her I mean, I might look deranged for all I know)

The group photo where he's sat on his Dads lap is lovely, he's actually smiling. It might just be 5 yo reluctance to stand still and cooperate but he's def not naturally comfortable yet poor kid

Charlotte is a natural in front the camera - look at her posing away in those photos! Perhaps takes after her grandmother? The shot where she's looking at Louis and holding his hand is very sweet too.

Is it just me who's reminded of Tim Nice but Dim by Pippa's husband? Though he can't be that dim if he's made millions!

Hard to think of Diana being a grandmother
So sad to think of what she has missed

We were at Centre Court yesterday - when she first came in, Kate brought back memories of Amal Clooney at H & M's wedding. She stood out, but I thought looked lovely. Also thought Theresa May looked lovely from a distance - the close-ups were a bit of a disappointment. She and William seemed to chat quite a bit - we reckoned he was saying 'what a shit week you've had - bet you'll be glad when Air Force One buggers off to Finland!'

Was disappointed/surprised that none of the high profile guests came back after the 'main event' to watch the doubles final - particularly as there was a British player.

I noticed that. It would have been nice to say something to Jamie and Victoria at the end, at least. They're hardly rushing off to relieve the baby sitter, cook dinner and put a wash on.

Anyone else think that on those official christening photos they’ve photoshopped Megan’s dress to make it blend in more? Looking at the photos there was obviously a blue and cream theme that everyone followed (including Harry) apart from Meghan. Her dress was definitely olive green but in the photos it’s more taupey brown?

I thought Meghan looked very chic, but the colour wasn't great. I didn't think it looked good on the photos.

If there was a theme that is naff beyond belief!!

So back to the business of critiquing the christening photographs.
I think the official photographer has put a filter on the whole photographs as even the shades of blue and cream look different to the press photographs.

Here I will directly blame Meghan. Her own wedding photos were shot in some green sitting room at Windsor castle and the queen and her mum all coordinated.

I actually don’t think Meghan is naturally great with colour. If she got her colours done, I think she would be a cool winter or something. Black, white, navy ( which she looks good in, as we know)
But also clear jewel colours such as emerald, purple, royal blue, fuschia. But she is so desperately clinging onto greige , olive, and then her foray into the banana shift dress. ( I really don’t think that was her colour, it was just a relief from everything nondescript she has been wearing.)
I’m not sure what the next big sighting of them will be.
I think Meghan is getting her shapes spot on; fitted & tailored. Now she needs to work on her colours.

Probably the idea for the christening pictures was that no one stood out, so Kate probably asked for cream or pale blue. Meghan does stand out a bit.
