Seeing as the Spencer wedding thread in S&B was so popular, here's a thread to discuss all royal fashion.

(If we could stick to critiquing the clothes rather than the women wearing them then that would be great!)

The Belgian Royals have arrived! HM in a nice blue floral, Queen Mathilde looking very pretty in white.

Queen Mathilde is another one who dresses several years older than she actually is.

It's tricky isn't it? You don't want to look like a fashion victim, or mutton, you want to look classy and appropriate. Difficult. Anyway I think she looks really nice tonight and HM is absolutely beaming.

Is the Queen having the Belgians over? Busy old week for HM.

Mathilde looks nice, though the dress is a bit fussy for my tastes. Anyone seen a photo of her predecessor Queen Paola when she was young? Wow!

This is Belgium's Queen Paola - quite the trendsetter in her day and a beauty to rival Grace Kelly.

James Middleton always makes me think of an Elizabethan adventurer.

Is it my imagination of is William shooting some funny looks at Theresa May on that blog?
And is TM deliberately trying to fade into the background despite some serious overdetailing on that coat/frock or did she misjudge the colour of the seats?

I think James M looks more like William's ancestors than William does!

The yellow dress is nice , much younger than the usual frumpy stuff she wears.

Love TM dress ( the blue one ) but why doesn't she do the rest of her to match her fashion ion ambitions?

I love the christening photos.....but in this one Kate looks like she's floating with no feet!

The cut of that yellow dress looks lovely on D of C; not 100% on the shade of yellow especially with how red-toned her hair is at the moment.

I came on to see if there were any comments about Melania Trumps brown leather(ette) leggings as she disembarked AF1 in Helsinki. Very unflattering with an excess of material folding between waist and hip (not to mention the fabric looked as though it should have been used to make the backseat of a 70s saloon)

That is what I always imagine going through George's mind, and I also wonder how much wrangling it took to get him to his spot in formal photos. Someone always has at least a hand on him and more often his hand is held in a vice grip in most photos I have seen of him with his parents.

I really don't understand Kate's style. She's half my age yet dresses a good 20 years older than me. Just so so frumpy.
Meghan is looking much more the part. Modern, stylish but still totally in keeping with her new role.

I've never seen Kate look happier than she did at Louis' christening. Not on her wedding day or at her other two children's christenings. I wonder if he'll end up being the favourite who can do no wrong in mummy's eyes? Apparently that's how it is with the Queen and Prince Andrew!
