@experiment627 woohoo! That’s great news! I was using bio oil and Madara stretch marks oil (or something similar). No stretch marks here ;)

@hipsterwannabie I did cave in and placed an order with Murad. It didn’t let to claim bot Hirons discount and new client freebie at the same time. I ordered retinol eye serum and chose free full size exfoliating acid cleanser. It’s getting delivered straight after the Easter. Exciting times!

Empties: this week -

L’Oreal Extraordinary Oil Cream - not bad
Oliology Coconut Oil Curl Creme - quite nice and smelled good
Jolen Creme Bleach - already repurchased
Yves Rocher Fleur d’Oranger perfume (had gone off and smelled like vinegar)
LRP Anthelios - will buy again in summer
Bibi shower mousse - a bit rubbish
L’Oreal Ciment Thermique - already repurchased
REN Hydra Calm Cleanser - would buy again

Ooh a teeny tiny kwicklet that's lovely news Flowers I'd definitely go for the Clarins oil, off the top of my head I can't remember which one though!

mintmagnummm · 30/03/2018 08:53

Congratulations kwick 💐

suchatiredbunny · 30/03/2018 09:56

Just checked, it's the Tonic body oil I used with all three of my pregnancies. Smells lovely!

PurpleNailVarnish · 30/03/2018 11:10

Congratulations kwick ThanksI've got nothing to add to the bump oils question, I had my babies before bio oil was in the shops. I didn't use anything, I've got a few stretch marks but not enough to make me feel self conscious in a bikini.

kalinkafoxtrot45 · 30/03/2018 12:39

Experiment627 congrats :)

woodhill · 30/03/2018 12:44

Not going that well but i have used up a small Clarins Beauty flash

CantChoose · 30/03/2018 17:53

Oh kwick that's absolutely wonderful news! I'm so please for you. I'll keep everything crossed for you that everything goes smoothly.

I finished a helmut Lang perfume vial. Surprisingly boring.
Also finished a Cath Kidston rose hand cream mini, I liked this but it looked and smelled nice more than feeling particularly moisturising. And I have about a million in stock to use up!

Treeballarae · 30/03/2018 18:37

Congratulations Experiment, lovely news!

woodhill · 30/03/2018 19:05

So pleased Kwik wonderful news x

IPokeBadgers · 30/03/2018 19:16

Oh kwick lovely news. Everything crossed and wishing you a healthy pregnancy xx

ememem84 · 31/03/2018 08:06

Congratulations kwick/experiment

I used clarins stretch mark cream. From the day I found out. Zero stretch marks. But a friend swore by palmers stretch mark cream.

I was out off by bio oil as apparently it can stain clothes.

So 13 weeks that’d make you due around end of sept/early oct? Like I was with ds last year? I hope everything goes well for you. Xx

ememem84 · 01/04/2018 21:14

Empty - Elizabeth Arden eye cream. Travel size.

Another couple of days of soap and glory body moisturiser left. Woop.

CantChoose · 02/04/2018 08:29

I've finished a few bits.

Cowshed rose body scrub, full size - I had high hopes for this and it smelled delicious. It had a weird, jelly consistency which was quite hard to use - fell off in lumps! It was a TKMaxx purchase so maybe was past its best or something but I wouldn't repurchase.

An Aveda cleansing gel. Tiny sample. This smelled nice and was pleasant to use but there was lots of make up residue when I used my toner so I think it's not very effective.

Guinot hyper-sensitive face moisturiser - tiny sample, quite liked it but not any better than toleraine and much more expensive.

Have also finished a deodorant and a bar of soap, not sure that counts though!

ememem84 · 02/04/2018 09:53

Everything counts in my book!

AnotherPinkiePieStory · 02/04/2018 10:37

OOOOh kwick (you’ll always be kwick to me!) congratulations. A wee Easter treat!
Nothing finished but wanted to say yay!

CantChoose · 02/04/2018 10:39

Haha emem in that case I'll take it :D
Have you moved yet??? We should be going on Friday but our vendors need simultaneous exchange and completion so it's done in the next tax year so that's all a bit nerve wracking!!

ememem84 · 02/04/2018 12:03

cant nope. Not yet... still issues with fire certificate for building. But our buyers are willing to wait. Tomorrow our lawyer is arranging paperwork which will lock them in to the price and get them to sign to say they aren’t looking elsewhere. This is unusual here. But not unheard of.

Well probably have to wait another 8 weeks.

In the meantime I’m continuing using up my beauty stash and decluttering the apartment.

thenewaveragebear1983 · 02/04/2018 13:00

Today I’ve finished a really nice honey scrub from the body shop, I’ve been using it in the shower all week and my skin feels amazingly soft- used in conjunction with a Korean cloth. I’ve also used up a firming moisturiser which has added to the softness but done nothing for firmness. Now that’s gone I will be using up a sanctuary moisturiser- smells nice but makes no claims for any miracles.

I have found a No7 cleanser and toner which I have moved into prime position on the bathroom shelf and am giving it a week before I bin them. They were an impulse buy a while ago. I have to admit I prefer a hot flannel and soap and an occasional exfoliate, rather than creams and liquids on my face.

IPokeBadgers · 02/04/2018 15:35

A small empty: a 3ml perfume parlour dupe of La vie est belle. Like this and have another wee bottle of it....lasts well and not as strong as the real thing, which I actually prefer.

rosewater09 · 03/04/2018 06:36

To empties to report:

*Kensington Apothecary Rose Milk Cleanser: I love a milk cleanser and this one was good, but the bottle was quite small so I don't think I would buy again.

  • Big bottle of Avene Thermal Spring Water: Love this and have used it for years, I love using it after I cleanse my face after I apply face lotion and if my make up is too caked on. Also great on irritated skin. I have the Vichy version to use up now and am curious to see which one I like more.

Does anyone else use thermal water? I am thinking of just replacing toners (because they never seem to do anything to my skin) with my thermal water since I always have a bottle to hand.

Just had a delivery of Nars and Mac eyeshadow, which arrived with a bunch of samples of other products too...oops! Wink Although, I am travelling next week so will take some of my samples to use up (I am really excited to use a Jo Malone Pomegranate Noir body wash sample, their Nectarine Blossom & Honey perfume and Maison Margiela Replica perfume sample).

Experiment627 · 03/04/2018 08:03

Thank you so much ladies for all the well wishes 😘

Also thank you ever so much for the stretch mark cream recommendations- I have taken note.

@Strawberryfield12 who stocks Madara?

@ememem84 yep I am due at the beginning of October

I have two empties to report:

  • Loreal Lash Paradise masacara: this has been bigged up by so many You Tubers... the first time I tried if got clumpy real quick - I put it down to taking it to Greece; but no, same this time - have eeked out a bit longer by putting in warm water before application but today got a mahoosive clump despite this so it is going.
  • The Ordinary vitamin C suspension 23% HA spheres 2%: did not like this - the texture, the stinging sensation and I have no idea what it did. I so far have not been that impressed with The Ordinary. I am on to my last item - Glycolic Acid.

I have started a new list - 21 for the longest day - despite still working on previous two lists 😬

Happy Tuesday everyone!!!
