experiment don't worry, I still have a couple of items from my Xmas list that just WILL NOT end!!

Strawberryfield12 · 03/04/2018 17:02

experiment I’m sure i’ve seen Madara either on feelunique or lookfantastic. But myself I always buy directly from their website when they announce 24hrs of great prices (about 3-4 times a year). All products then have 40%off and they give for free full size of one of their latest product if order is x amount. The only downside- prices are in euros and since Brexit vote they have become ~30% dearer... before that could stash on lovely organic products for prices of L’oreal. Also they accept PayPal so don’t get bank charges for foreign currency purchases.

academia1 · 03/04/2018 17:25

I recently finished up some micellar water I was using for a quick morning cleanse, but I wanted something that felt more moisturising, so I've got Glossier's milky cleanser on the way. Excited to give it a go Smile

IPokeBadgers · 03/04/2018 18:17

Another perfume parlour empty....a 30ml edt spray that is meant to be one of the job malone dupes....it is called Lotus Blossoms....not sure what the JM fragrance is. But I liked it a lot. Might repurchase in future but have a lot of perfume in the stash, both opened and unopened!

mintmagnummm · 03/04/2018 20:19

Experiment mypure.co.uk sells madara as do quite a few websites, just do a google search. I've used mypure before though and they are good

Deckthehallswithjammydodgers · 03/04/2018 20:25

Used the raspberry body butter for the first time this morning. Yumm.

I smell all sweet and fruity and delicious.

Told dh yesterday that it was the last of the “in a tub” moisturisers I have. He said next week he was going to buy me 27 more.

Part of me hopes he’s joking. The other part said “yes please” but 27 completely different ones please. Ha!

CantChoose · 04/04/2018 17:09

27 is very specific!
I've finished a champneys foot butter. I quite liked this but my favourite is the soap and glory one which I will have to buy as there's no more foot cream in my stash. Unless anyone can recommend another??

ememem84 · 04/04/2018 17:24

I know! Watch this space. I may be the proud owner of more moisturiser than I know what to do with next week!! Haha!!

cant I’m a fan of the soap and glory stuff (heel genius?) I’m using it at the moment.

thenewaveragebear1983 · 04/04/2018 17:43

Cantchoose it’s not particularly glamorous but I find nothing beats flexitol cream for feet, 3 days and they are noticeably softer. Boots now do their own version of it too which is half the price.

I’ve used up a sample of a conditioning balm for coloured hair, and as I’m away for a few days have brought a gift set size tube of body wash, which I should finish tomorrow. I’m focusing on using up one thing at a time so this week it’s a spa mud moisturiser from the body shop.

CantChoose · 04/04/2018 18:56

That's my current favourite too, emem.
Doesn't flexitol smell horrid, averagebear? Is the boots one any better?? I know the horrible smell is the reason it works but I'm still not keen!!

thenewaveragebear1983 · 04/04/2018 19:04

I don’t think the boots one smells too bad, but it’s definitely ‘medicinal’ rather than anything luxurious. I suppose it depends whether you need it to actually perform, or whether it’s just a moisturiser? I need heavy duty on my little trotters!

mintmagnummm · 05/04/2018 06:26

Cantchoose I swear by the CCS foot care cream! I've used it for years

suchatiredbunny · 05/04/2018 08:58

Cant I use Burts Bees almond hand cresm on my feet, the really thick one that comes in a glass jar. Then socks on overnight, very glamorous.

I have the most boring use up ever to report, a supermarket own sensitive bubble bath! Cheap as chips, does the job.

Am I right in thinking Boots 17 is being discontinued? To be on the safe side I ordered three lots of phwoar paint concealer as it was half price, so I got three for the price of one. Bargain.

Treeballarae · 05/04/2018 20:35

Another vote for the CCS footcream, it was recommended to me by a chiropodist I used to go to. The Eucerin Urea Repair Plus one is good too.

A few wee empties to report:
Face Inc Cat Nap sheet mask - had an actual cat face on the mask which was cute, and it's the first sheet mask that I've used that had holes in the right place for my face. Was a bit drippy and expensive for a one-use mask but left my skin really smooth. I'm coveting the Charlotte Tilbury 3-use dry mask at the moment.

L'Occitane almond shower oil 75ml - was a GWP, don't like the smell of it that much

Aromatherapy Associates Revive oil 7.5ml and Support Equilibrium oil 3ml - didn't feel particularly revived or balanced after either of these!

Treeballarae · 05/04/2018 20:43

My list of 21 products that I hope to use up by longest day:

  1. MV organics jojoba oil
  2. Lierac eye cream
  3. Senspa handwash
  4. Clarins pure and radiant clay mask
  5. Urtekram fragrance free body lotion
  6. Nivea compact deodorant
  7. Chanel SPF 30
  8. Elemis pro radiance cream cleanser
  9. Napiers arnica cream
10. Urtekram tea tree shampoo 11. Ren Wake Wonderful serum 12. LRP Cicaplast 13. Napiers chickweed cream 14. Leighton Denny Renovate 15. Bare Minerals foundation - fairly light 16. Face Theory relaxing night cream 17. Faith in Nature crystal deodorant roll on 18. Elemis Superfood facial oil 19. L'Occitane shea hand cream 75ml 20. Sea Kelp body wash 75ml 21. Elemis Exotic Cream Moisture Mask
AgathaMystery · 05/04/2018 20:47

I've just purchased a new Clinique mascara as I'd used up all my old ones and all my samples. It's taken 2 years.

Currently working though a giant tube of clarins body cream and huge jar of Aldi/Jo Malone dupe as well as some (4 Blush) serums.

MajestyRoyal · 05/04/2018 20:59

This is totally the wrong thread but you will all (mostly) appreciate this. Found it on another thread

https://www.nakedbathbombs.online/product/monthly-subscription-box/

It's a Scottish based company who dupe lush products for a lot cheaper. Also a monthly sub to get limited edition stuff.

You are welcome and I am sorry Grin

ememem84 · 07/04/2018 11:14

In the last 24 hours I’ve spent £80 on skincare. £50 in boots on clarins facial sunscreen and eye gel and £30 on feelunique on Clinique night moisturiser. I’m usually a clarins fan but tried this one and really liked it. It’s about £2 cheaper than clarins.....

Experiment627 · 07/04/2018 15:30

We have moved!!! I have three full size moving boxes labelled 'bathroom' Blush

IPokeBadgers · 07/04/2018 19:58

I reckon you lot will appreciate this: found it in my parents house. Would say it is 25 years old....made a load of these for friends when I was 13 or 14. Body Shop Ananya shower gel, soap and bath pearls! Such nostalgia!

IPokeBadgers · 07/04/2018 20:00

Oh, and finally finished a liz earle orange blossom hand cream. Was part of qvc tsv....as is most of my liz earle....wouldn't pay proper retail prices for it, too tight! 😅

thenewaveragebear1983 · 07/04/2018 20:18

Ah I loved Anaya bath stuff! And white musk. Retro!

I have finally finished a soap and glory body butter. Now I’ve started on an argon oil butter that was a Christmas present. I am feeling very soft though, all these lotions must be doing something.
