I am kwick and I am a beauty addict.... I am so addicted that I have actually got 3 bauty advent calendars in line of sight... I started the ASOS one on 1 October and I think the Look Fantastic one will be delivered today... and then I plan to get the M&S one... yep there is no hope for me!!!

I only have 4 products left to use up from my 13 for Halloween list - which I think is fairly good going... what will our next list be ladies? 25 for Christmas Shock????

Hi Grin thanks for new thread kwick
I've binned 2 empties from my halloween list (bourgois powder and dull shower gel) but replaced with a glossier order. I have bought into the hype Confused.
Should arrive this week so will keep you posted!

BigStripeyBastard · 10/10/2017 11:06

Happy New Thread, everyone!
I am four down in my 13 for Halloween Part Deux. Using up samples is really helping clear the clutter, even if technically I am not using up large volumes of things.
My Lookfantastic calendar should arrive tomorrow.....squeeeeee! I am a beauty advent calendar virgin so very excited!
When Halloween arrives, I will see where I am at and then might just go for a Big November Push to get use up as many bits and pieces as I can before the advent fun begins!

Pinkie, you'll have to give us a full review of the Glossier stuff. I've watched Caroline Hirons and Nadine Baggott talk about them at length at the weekend on YouTube but would like to know what an actual person thinks, iyswim 😊

mintmagnummm · 10/10/2017 12:15

Just signing in on new thread Grin

curragh · 10/10/2017 13:20

Place marking. Thanks kwick for the new thread.

I'm not even going to attempt 25 for Christmas GrinGrinGrin

suchatiredbunny · 10/10/2017 16:35

Happy New Thread. 13 for Halloween is not going well, I'm really not a body lotion person it seems! I like plain body lotion for dryness/itching, then perfume for smell aroma. So perfumed body lotions are not being used.
I had a facial yesterday at a Liz Earle pop up in a JL which cost £15 and was amazing! The fee was redeemable so I bought a bottle of the face Oil which I love and helps loads when my skin is playing silly buggers. Then went to Boots today for some Avene recovery cream for DS and they had the Avene cold cream bars reduced to £2 and micellar water reduced to £4. Would have been rude not to, so I picked up two of each. Grin

Thanks Kwik

kwick · 10/10/2017 18:19

bunny I am so jealous of your LE facial!!! Please describe in detail! Envy

I need to go to Asda tomorrow (this will be an expedition for me as the nearest one is about 4 stops away on the Piccadilly Line) but I want to see if I can get my IVF drugs there (apparently these are sold on a non-for-profit basis there) and I may peruse their home wares and beauty sections!!! Yey thanks for the new thread! I still have 9 of my thirteen left...need to start using them faster!

suchatiredbunny · 10/10/2017 18:52

Kwick it was about 50 mins. Double cleanse, tone and mask, while the mask was on she did a hand and arm massage. Then after the mask was off she did a face, neck and shoulder massage, then a head massage, then a tone, serum, eye cream and moisturiser. It was seriously amazing, it smelt like heaven and I could have stayed there and gone to sleep. The next pop up is in January so I'm going again! I paid £15 to book the place, and that was redeemable on the day if you bought product/s after, but either way it's an amazing bargain!

mowglik · 10/10/2017 19:48

bunny that is a bargain! And I love LE products, they smell so fresh and flowery, with the £15 id get the toner just to sniff it every day.

I’d be up for a 25 for xmas, I need to use stuff up ASAP as we are probably relocating in the new year and don’t want to drag bags of half used products with me. I’ll be back with a list

CantChoose · 10/10/2017 19:54

Ooo thread seven?!? I’m starting to feel like an old timer!
My Estée Lauder box came today. I keep asking DH what time he will be home so I can check it out. I think he thinks I miss him Grin

CantChoose · 10/10/2017 19:56

25 for Xmas you say?? I’ve never actually attempted one of these. I might have a go.

applesandpears33 · 10/10/2017 20:09

Signing in. I've not been using up many products recently. I think it is because I've largely used up the samples and trial sizes and am working my way through full size products. I am making head way though.

FrustratedFrugal · 10/10/2017 20:11

Hi all! Found you! I'm seeing how much I will finish by Halloween (over 13 but 31 might be a tad ambitious...) but will do my best. Work trip starting again tomorrow, packing my toiletries.

Polkadot1974 · 10/10/2017 20:21

I need to join you. I've started trying to use up all old shampoo first. Baby steps...and I may be accidentally using it to swish and swipe the sink and loo with the stuff I really dislike to make it go away faster!

suchatiredbunny · 10/10/2017 20:23

mowglik I love the toner, it's my favourite smell! I so wish they'd bring out a perfume that smelt exactly like it.

I'd be up for a 25 for Xmas too as I've got lots of sample/travel sizes to use up. I think I've got seven of my 13 left.

I opened a Clenance (?) Avene tube of stuff this evening for my t-zone as I'm still a bit spotty, and I'm not sure if it's a moisturiser or treatment but my skin feels like Velvet so I'll keep using it and see what happens!

pasturesgreen · 10/10/2017 21:43

Checking in on the new thread, thanks kwick!

I have a few empties coming along in the next few days, so will update soon!

CantChoose · 10/10/2017 22:06

😍 I think this is a favourite box so far! So pretty. And I think the mini hypnose I’m using needs to go so I’ll be putting the smash box to good use. Is it cheating to add the hypnose to my 25 for Xmas list and immediately cross it off??

It’s the Estée Lauder companies breast cancer campaign box. £25!!! It’s sold out on Estée Lauder and Clinique websites now. Not sure If you will be able to find one somewhere else though maybe. I’m really pleased as it’s all all lovely high-end stuff and there’s lots in there that will be ok for my horrible oily, spotty skin! Normally there’s lots of very moisturising stuff that I give to my mum Grin so this is a better balance IMO.
While I’m enabling, look fantastic has a really good offer on today with 17% off lots of higher end stuff. I had to drag myself away!

d270r0 · 10/10/2017 22:24

Yikes 25!! Not sure if I'll be able to manage that many but will have a think. Maybe those of us less ambitious could do a 12 for Christmas?

Used up another of my 13 today- a pack of simple face wipes. I still have 8 left to finish though.

suchatiredbunny · 10/10/2017 23:08

I've been thinking about the 25 for Xmas idea and I'm thinking I'll include products that aren't just mine.....there are lots of teenager related face washes/shampoos etc floating about the bathroom so instead of saying which 25 I'm going to aim to use, I'm going to have a blank list of 25 numbers and write each one in as it gets used. That way I can hopefully get rid of some of the half used on the go products, and encourage DS1 and DD to focus on the products they actually really like and not end up like me
Hope that makes sense!
