Finished:
Bodyshop Ginger shampoo - not my favourite but my scalp is being awkward. DH loves this so I have a spare in store.

Bought a new Schmidt's Natural Deodorant Stick - £8 Shock but it's one of the only ones that works for me , doesn't irritate and cruelty free .

I had a charcoal /menthol one before but it was grey and I wear lots of white . When it finished I went for Vanilla Rose (pits are lovely )

PurpleNailVarnish · 22/10/2018 09:29

Is the ginger shampoo good for scalps 70isalimitnotatarget?

Lush used to do a scalp massage bar called snake oil, I've never had problems with my scalp but snake oil was the best thing I've ever found for getting rid of nits! I work with children a lot and nits are an occasional side effect

I'm always on the lookout for scalp-friendly products that might help with the occasional infestation.

That was cheery - happy Monday everyone

CantChoose · 22/10/2018 09:40

I finished a 'keep young and beautiful' REN sample - I think from an advents. Politics aside (I remember the name causing debate when it was in the calendar) I found this made my face sticky but not a lot else...
I also rather tragically used up a mini Miss Dior Perfume - the lid came off in my bag so it quite literally smells like a tart's handbag Grin

BigStripeyBastard · 22/10/2018 12:17

CantChoose oh, now, your face stash isnt doing that badly at all!
Several of those items look to be nearly empty and I spy quite a few fairly small travel sizes. One good push over a couple of weeks and you could make a very decent dent in it. Save your empties and come back for a good brag about how much you've managed to use up! 😁😁

tinyradish · 22/10/2018 14:03

I finished a small Pixi Glow Tonic & repurchased the large slice as its a good price in boots at the moment (1/3 off.) I really like the product so it's worth it for me.

I did also buy a Pixi set from asos as it is reduced to £10 -

tinyradish · 22/10/2018 14:04

It's the rose set. Oops.

Mn cut my post off, sorry for the 2 posts.

*size!

CantChoose · 22/10/2018 14:59

Haha *BigStripey' they are almost all small sizes. But there's just so many Blush
I've finished a mini mouthwash. Not sure that counts but I'm taking it anyway!
tinyradish I want to love pixi glow but it gives me loads of tiny whiteheads... I've got a half used bottle and I keep going back to it and having the same problem. You'd think I'd have learnt by now!!

tinyradish · 22/10/2018 15:31

It does seem to be a very love/hate product! Any kind of acid or chemical exfoliatants seem to work really well for my skin. I hope you can find something that works foose

tinyradish · 22/10/2018 15:32

*well for you CantChoose

SuzeD29 · 24/10/2018 16:19

Finished a Vichy mineral 89 sample and a head and shoulders shampoo. Donated a brown lipstick to my sis in law as tried it once and just didn't like it

SuzeD29 · 24/10/2018 16:25

Bought a 6 pack of Nesti Dante soaps for a bargain price of £12.50. Love these they small amazing and will probably last for a year

RiskIt4Biscuit · 24/10/2018 21:05

I'm getting some injections tomorrow and Friday (Anti-D, whooping cough and the flu jab) and I'm not at all looking forward to it, so I've bought myself some goodies as a reward for after.
One is a Fresh Sugar Lip Wonder Drops (Lisa Eldridge recommended them in a recent video) and then a Laura Mercier kit with a small translucent powder, a radiance primer and the baked highlighter. I think it comes with a little brush for the highlighter too, but I'm not sure.

ememem84 · 25/10/2018 07:05

Finished a clarins body scrub yesterday. Was a self care day yesterday. Have been signed off work so was able to have a long hot shower and scrub up.

I don’t think I have any more scrubs left. It’s not something I usually buy myself (I either hope someone buys me stuff for Christmas or wait until the sale in boots in January and buy soap n glory gift sets)

Alicatz66 · 25/10/2018 18:43

Finished my Clarins Double Serum .. not that impressed .. and serum recommendations hoarders ??? ... have bought a cheapo Superdrug one as fed up with being broke !

ememem84 · 25/10/2018 18:59

ali I liked the double serum. But got it as partnof a reduced gift set. Can’t justify the cost.

Experiment627 · 25/10/2018 19:53

@PurpleNailVarnish have you tried the Bug Buster Kit? Unfortunately headlice are now resistant to the medical (pesticide) treatments but with the kit you can safely and easily break the lifecycle. The charity behind the kit (Community Hygiene Concern) run a schools program - really effective if everyone detects and uses the kit at the same time.

@RiskIt4Biscuit please report back on the Fresh drops

@ememem84 you ok honey? Self-care day sounds like bliss... I am finding it hard to even shower at the mo! My mum has twice looked after Kwicklet in the past week so I can have a bath - the joy!!!!!

I have my 3 advents, really should have started one on 1/10... but a) have not had time b) not sure how I will use up and c) have zilch storage space 😬 #firstworldproblems

Forgot to report my empty!

  • E45 Intense Recovery hand cream: gift from a friend - never tried before but one of the best hand creams I have ever used. I will defo come back once stash is used up. May not take long - my hands (and feet) are in a terrible way.

experiment throat infection, mouth ulcers, generally run down. Stress induced illness due to ds being sick last week (he had a chesty virus) and not sleeping much and a house move.

Feeling much better today. The time off has been good for me. I hate taking time off but sometimes necessary.

CantChoose · 25/10/2018 20:32

Sorry you've been poorly, emem, hope you feel better soon.
I've finished a full size aveeno, I'm a bit bored of it now but sticking with it until after pregnancy I think as I know it works!
I'm getting a bit twitchy - do we need a new thread??

Experiment627 · 26/10/2018 11:01

Sounds full on @ememem84 but glad you are on the mend and took the time off work

@CantChoose haha!! I am keeping a close eye on the numbers and will start a new thread soon - don't worry!!!

I have another empty!

  • M&S Royal Jelly hand & nail cream: did not work so good on hands but was great on scar area

  1. REN wake wonderful overnight mask One of my favourites, now I'm using Soolantra I use this on the other days. 42, 43, 44, 45. Holika Holika sheet masks cucumber, avocado, 2 x strawberry Love these, they're great. Make my skin look fab and god value too.
  2. Fragonard violette perfume Gorgeous. I think this is the first perfume I've ever had compliments on, I've bought more.
  3. Superdrug konjac sponge I liked this, eventually I killed it with overuse but I have a spare as it was buy 1 get 1 free. 48, 49. Schwarzkopf gliss shampoo and conditioner Meh. They were ok but left my hair looking if not greasy then with a not very flattering sheen.
  4. L'Oréal Elvive coconut oil hair balm I'll probably buy more when I've tried some other masks.
  5. L'Oréal Elvive fibrology conditioner It was ok but probably not rich enough for my hair.

Samples:
REN glycolic radiance renewal mask sample. Was ok.
Macadamia hair oil treatment sample. Liked this, good smell, used it pre shower.
Zelens balancing moisturiser. Loved this but at £55 I don't love it enough to swap out my usual Caudalie at that price point.

@Experiment627 happily I don't get nits often, these days when I do a generous dollop of tea tree conditioner left on for hours gets rid of them. They don't really stick well to my straight, fine hair. I haven't used chemicals on them for decades because I found that they just don't work.

Which 3 advent calendars did you get in the end?

Get well soon @ememem84, enjoy your rest.

How are you @CantChoose?

SuzeD29 · 26/10/2018 12:37

Finished a tube of moroccanoil hair deep treatment. This is my favourite and will repurchase when I've used up the rest of my stash. Moving on to shealogix hair mask which I've never tried before

ememem84 · 27/10/2018 08:05

Moving the stash to new house today. No bathroom storage (must get that sorted in time) so it’ll have to remain in plastic tubs for now. This will hopefully spur me on to actually use up some stuff once it’s all in the open!

Experiment627 · 27/10/2018 11:40

@PurpleNailVarnish I got:
Body Shop Fox 🦊 one
ASOS
Look Fantastic

Best of luck @ememem84!
