No SOTD yet as going for a swim. I woke up thinking about ET Passion (this is how the obsession manifests...you dream about perfume!) which is gathering dust in the back of my cupboard, so I might unleash that beast a bit later.

SOTD is Theo Fennell Scent. I needed something to counteract the tedious pink 'femininity' of the Lalique.

I am in vintage Diorella and sniffing myself obsessively. It really is a work of art, very very sweet, but never for a second even approaching PM territory. And always with that underlying skank poking through, but at the same time grown up and classy.

Finally managed to get a few pics sent to PC, there are 3 more shoeboxes in the wardrobe of tried/untried samples, but these are the 3 interesting collections.

The first is the "can use but must not be finished until replaced by an identical one"
The second is a "can use liberally as already have more stashed"
The third is "can't believe that the seller didn't know what treasure they had and I got it so cheap I almost feel guilty"

I will always have Opium too now (PP version!) I will always have Anais Anais , Chanel 19, Paris and Rive Gauche.

Unsuitable and weirdy stalker boyfriend bought me Poison in all its (original) forms from 1990-1991.

That one is a perfume extract and I.got it still sealed for about a fiver, together with the Arpege extract and the 19 mini.

Hmm mrsr, I don't think it was. I don't remember the bottle being black, but I don't remember anything else about it, as the lady unlocked the cabinet, sprayed some on a strip and was about to put it away, so I quickly asked for a squirt on my wrist, so I barely saw the bottle. Pretty sure it was a clear one though. I'm definitely going to have to look it up!

I dreamt about one of the perfumes kittens gave me in the swapathon. It's a tiny sample of Vetiver de Sel, in my dream it became a full size bottle. I'm taking it as a sign that I need to buy myself a bottle of the Guerlain Vetiver .

When I think of all the gorgeous Poisons I had, and lovely little add-ons like a powder puff, cute little travel spray, body lotion etc. I also had a boyfriend who bought me lots of perfume circa 92/93. All probably binned off mid 90s when I went off it. Damnit!

Determined to at some stage get some nice vintage Poison!

Very impressed PiaM. You are right, it is a long game on eBay. Can't think where he describes this, but LT has a collector friend who has all the greats (including Nombre Noir) but didn't pay more than 40 $ for any if them (I think that's the upper limit on his price filter. ..).

So, with the Beast From The East on the way - what will everyone be wearing as their Snow Day Perfume?

I'm thinking I might go for something fabulously warm and cosy like L'Artisan Parfumeur Amour Nocturne. However, I've read a couple of bloggers who reckon Diorissimo is great in the snow, too - I can see/smell how that would work!

SOTD (after the big sniffs Lalique didn't last as expected) Lolita Lempicka.
I detest licorice, but it works so well with the violet & subtle star anise, the dry down is a rich, yet soft flowery almond on me. Love this.

Snow perfumes would be Opium, Shalimar, Dune (never understood the marketing on Dune, it's warm sandalwood, not sand!)
