SOTD - JM English oak & hazelnut layered on my loccitane almond dry oil spray. I can really smell the cedar & maybe moss - it's mixing with the sweet almond beautifully.

Probably be non existent in an hour but I don't mind, lots of new goodies to try when I get back home.

So if you were getting your first batch of 4610 taster samples which group would you get?
I like amber and resin, iris, jasmin, herby stuff, spice, mimosa and yellow smells. Dont really like stuff that just smells clean or linear. But to be honest I just want in on the discussion and my tastes change with the seasons

Pineapple- I love the smell of that loccitaine almond stuff. And oak and hazelnut sounds delicious.

mrsreynolds - I’m wearing Manifesto L’Elixir today . Its not as ‘powdery vanilla’ as the original, or so I’ve been told (never sniffed the original). It’s a big, tarty citrus-vanilla drying down to dark vanillary musk. I have to be in the mood for it, though, as it is sah-weeeeeet.

Hello all, I had a meeting in London this morning which finished early so treated myself to a long lunch. Had a fun time in House of Fraser on Victoria Street having a good sniff and trying to up my knowledge.I Tried Knowing - not keen, Christalle - not sure at first but lovely after a while, although not don't think I would wear it , Dior Eau Fraiche which I liked.

Then popped into the Jo Malone shop for a sniff of the new English Fields stuff - quite taken with Green Wheat and Meadowsweet but at £47 for a 30ml bottle. It's the only one I tried on my skin and is still going strong after nearly 3 hours. Has that sort if grassy smell i like.

Realised on the tube that I had time to pop into Liberty's so did - but it was a bit overwhelming. I needed one of you perfumistas to hold my hand. So much stuff I'd never heard of - I needed a few hours and copious googling really. Anyhow discovered this:

pineapple, it was either late on Sunday or Monday morning when I tried to register. I must have just missed the deadline 😢 although I didn’t realise it at the time. Bluebell, yes I did get the 10% discount to compensate. In actual fact, I had very good customer service from the lovely Victoria. 😊. I needed two boxes sent out urgently for a birthday and she very kindly sent them from the office first class rather than leaving it to the warehouse slow parcel post. The warehouse apparently only post out on a Monday and Thursday. So all of that made up for me being unable to subscribe.

It's official - I'm in love with Rhubarb and Custard 1:29. Yes, it's a gourmand, yes it's sweet, yes it's pretty linear but my goodness it's beautifully done and utterly delicious to wear. Heavenly stuff.

I haven't tried Sexiest Scent...when I ordered the 7 samples last summer, one had smashed to smithereens and the packaging smelt divine. Maybe that was it! I need to check what I ordered. Ealing Green, Paris, London, Doe, Buddawood, Lion Cupboard, TKD and the mysterious but divine one.
