Hi Enid I’d recommend sex Goddess rather than tarts knicker drawer. It’s got loads of vanilla in along with the Violets. Your tastes may change as you go along the journey but all the perfumes you mentioned are quite sweet.

^ actually ignore that. TKD is quite sweet- I’m getting it confused with goodbye Piccadilly which isn’t. As you were.

Yep, Tom Hardy is a minger as well. Not as much as the other two though. Cumberbatch annoys me because I imagine I'd like the stuff he's in, if he weren't in them. And I imagine him to have sweaty palms and smell of cheese.

TKD has been my absolute least favourite of the 4160s. Totally PM scrubber on me. Smelled like someone had tipped loads of different (very sweet) bottles together. Paris 1948 would be my second least favourite as I realise I don't like peach (again, it's just too sweet) I doubt I'd like any of the "food" named ones.

Enid the Catwalk collection at the the Perfume Society (£15 or £10 for VIP subscribers) has a 4ml miniature of Valentino Donna. The bottle is lovely! (I have a bit of a thing for perfume miniatures!) It's a great box as it also has Benefit mascara, Nails Inc polish, Percy and Reed hair treatment, as well as all the other samples.

Glad to hear your cat is back Floofy. I know how worrying it is when they wander off for ages.

SOTD is the Big Sniff perfume of the week, Floral Street Chypre Sublime. Last time I wore it, it was geranium all the way through. Today it's a sweet rose. Interesting how perfumes can smell different on different days.

The Perfume Society have stopped doing the VIP Subscription thing. I know because I tried to join and it didn’t work! Apparently they are introducing a new scheme in May. There will be transition arrangements for current subscribers, including being able to buy at subscription rates, but they are not accepting new subscribers for the time being.

Thank you MrsP, I'm going to politely ignore that otherwise my bank may cut me off . God, I do love that scent though...maybe after payday (I think I should get a t-shirt with that printed on).

Agree re TKD. It's the one I really don't get the love for - it's a total PM on me, tooth-achingly sweet. However, on the subject of foodie scents, SOTD is Rhubarb and Custard and it's utterly gorgeous. I could just sniff me all day long. Perfect blend of tart and sweet, and the vanilla has that lovely smoky, almost incensey undertow. Blissful. I'm working from home (ahem) today so will get to respray at my leisure.

I did really like Tom Hardy in Peaky Blinders but that was for his acting ability rather than his looks. And anyway, could barely tear my eyes away from the divine Cillian Murphy swoons

Oh and I absolutely want to see photos of people's perfume hauls!

I have started to post bits and bobs on Instagram (don't hate me) and have even been toying with a 'purely perfume' IG account...god I am so far down the rabbit hole...

SOTD is Agonist Isis. Too much vanilla for me (can’t quite believe this is niche) so I’ve layered with Francis Kurkdjian Rose. It’s quite nice now

^ so I think this means you can’t buy a new subscription right now, but you can get a 10% discount code to use across the site.

I would have got Knowing on your behalf (if it's you) but it was out of stock. All the others were their new stuff. Muse this, Muse that.
