Lipstick Challenge January 2018.

Come my pretties.... Some of us did this last year, the idea of this is wearing a different lipstick everyday. I have more lipsticks than you can shake a stick at, I collect them.

Today I wore Kiko metal lipstick in Unconventional Gold, from their Arctic Holiday collection. It wasn't very pigmented, but it still looked pretty, (I'm partly blaming this on the condition of my lips, as they're as dry as the Sahara at the moment, and a bit flaky and scabby and disgusting at the moment to boot.) I will post a picture of the lipstick in a bit, it looks very pretty in the tube.

I’m wearing Mac Brick-o-la today. Lovely colour which is described as a midtone berry but is slightly browny pink on me as I’m v pale. It’s creamy which I don’t always like but it’s worth it for the colour.

I have a stinking cold and the baby was awake allll night so I'm wearing a bolder lipstick today to distract everyone from the rest of my face!

This is the Soap and Glory lipstick in Pommie Girl, one of their matte finishes. I think S & G lipsticks are really underrated, I have quite a few and the mattes especially are comparable to mac, really velvety and comfortable. Love this colour too.

@isambardo, love that colour on you. I'm super pale too and these kind of shades are really flattering.

Today is Bourjois Rouge Velvet in Hip Hip Pink. Lovely colour but a bit drying, though I've reapplied over lip balm and it feels a bit better.

Rock, I really rate the S&G lipsticks as well. Their Berry Kissable is a big favourite of mine, and not drying at all for a matte.

Buster I remember your amazing lipsticks from last year’s thread. You are to thank/ curse for most of my lipstick spends in 2017 I think.
I agree re soap and glory make up. I love their eyeshadow quad that is as good as a Mac one and have 2 great nude lipsticks that are so nice to wear. Rarely hear much about them though.

Today is wet n wild Spiked with Rum which has a great formula but case has crumbled with being in my pocket all day and looks set to be destined to stay at home from now on.

Must revisit Soap and Glory; they used to have a few I liked but were all discontinued.

Forgot to post yesterday. Yesterday was Bare Minerals Live Large; today is Rosie for Autograph Supermodel Smile.

Just realising how many of my favourite lipsticks are from sets and gifts with purchase and Advent Calendars and not picked individually … the ones I pick individually I seem to not like as much?

Today, I'm wearing Dior Rouge Dior Baume in 688 Diorette. It's a deep, bright pink, but as the lipstick is more like a balm, it's not too much/in-your-face.
It seems to stain my lips a bit, but the balm wears off really quickly, leaving my lips feeling quite dry.

I liked this one for summer, but I'm tired of looking at it, so I'm trying to use it up. It shouldn't take too long as I feel it needs to be reapplied all the time.

Medieval, Lipstick Queen.

Very pretty, but once it’s gone I won’t be buying another one.

Had to do my face in 30 seconds flat today so applied pixi honey sheen - sparkly clear lip gloss that looks nice for about 5 min and then not much..will struggle to finish this one!

Friday was Kiko Arctic Holiday matte lipstick in Smooth Hazelnut.
Saturday was Make Up Forever lipstick in Satin Black. (Part of a set of three that I found in TK MAXX for £7!)
Sunday was L'Oreal J-Lo's Delicate Rose. (It's NOT a delicate rose, it's bright magenta!)
Monday was Sleek Matte Me in Rioja Red.
And today was two of the Kiko Arctic Holiday ones, Cherry Tree (matte) and Unchanged Golden Rose, (metal.) The latter is gorgeous, it's rose gold in a lipstick. I love rose gold!
Must take pictures! If I can get my camera to behave.
I love all the lipsticks you guys have been posting, and it's lovely to see the old crowd from last year's thread as well as new people!

Sapphire I have the JLo Rose one tooand it's a gorgeous colour but not emwhat I'd call a delicate rose either!

Buster I have four from that collection, J-Lo, Liya, Doutzen and Leila, which are all the bright ones! I very rarely wear the lipstick shades I 'should' wear based on my skin tone as I find I look washed out. I find the brighter the better when I take into account my hair and eye colour. (Pale yellow toned skin, dark brown hair, dark hazel eyes.) Fuchsia pink lipstick suits me beautifully, especially if it has blue undertones, and I especially like the ones that have fine iridescent blue shimmer. Black, purple, grey, bright orange and red, blue, green, and that weird purple/grey/beige colour that's really popular at the moment all suit me quite well too.

This morning it's a Maybelliene lipstick in Velvet Beige. It's a nice enough colour, if a little boring, but I find the Maybelliene lipsticks really hard in texture and therefore difficult to apply. Definitely not one I would repurchase.

Lip liner - Mac - Spice.

Today's not so lucky lucky dip is melted Metal liquid lipstick by Too Faced in Melted Metallic Bunny, I never learn. Pinks absolutely do not suit me. But as all I am doing today is sanding down walls I am keeping it on to remind me to never attempt pinks again 😂

I ve also accidentally matched my lips to my vest 🤘🏻

Ooh, can I join? I have 8 Muji drawers full of lipstick Today was Revlon Lip Butter in Sugar Plum, which is a staple, along with Berry Smoothie.

Iris I think the pink is actually nice! It's the metallic element I'm not sure about. I got a couple of NYX and Lime Crime metallics but am not brave enough to wear them yet. Loving your bold choices.

Hema Lovely Candy, I wear this often but it works. Cheap and cheerful.
