Lipstick Challenge January 2018.

Come my pretties.... Some of us did this last year, the idea of this is wearing a different lipstick everyday. I have more lipsticks than you can shake a stick at, I collect them.

Today I wore Kiko metal lipstick in Unconventional Gold, from their Arctic Holiday collection. It wasn't very pigmented, but it still looked pretty, (I'm partly blaming this on the condition of my lips, as they're as dry as the Sahara at the moment, and a bit flaky and scabby and disgusting at the moment to boot.) I will post a picture of the lipstick in a bit, it looks very pretty in the tube.

Lottapianos I have a very dry mouth/lips due to a medical issue so I do put a thin layer of Aveeno on my lips a few times a day - it's wonderful stuff! I must have tried every single lip balm but the Aveeno is miles better and even drying lipsticks (NYX I'm looking at you!) aren't too bad over the Aveeno.

I'm very jealous of everyones' lovely lips (and skin!) I took a picture of my Lips Of The Day and was horrified how corpse like I looked! So I'm sorry but this is a swatch pic It is Lip Butter in Macaroon.

Next on my Must Buy List is Bourjois Color Boost Lip Crayon Proudly Naked, as I saw it mentioned on MN. Has anyone here used it? My Lips But Better is my holy grail and I haven't found the perfect one yet!

Loving the lips. Today is glossier lip tint in jam. Loved it at first but not sure I’d recommend it as drying out in tube and becoming bitty although great cerise colour. Doesn’t last long though!

Gloves, when you say Aveeno, do you mean the lotion or a special lip product? I have dry lips too but I find the NYX matte lipsticks fantastic and totally non drying. Their other lip products are a different matter....

Yes, sorry I meant the Aveeno daily moisturising lotion, I use it on hands etc too. Honestly I had tried all the Lips balms (Burts Bees, Nuxe, Lypsyl, Vaseline, Eos, Pawpaw, Blistex etc etc) and none of them worked like the Aveeno did. I went from lips so cracked and dry that they bled at the sides, to soft moisturised lips!

I am evangelical now and always go on and on about it on MN

I meant to say that I have Sjögren's syndrome and it was a rheumatology consultant who recommended the Aveeno initially.

Urban Decay 1993 today. It's comfortable for a matte, but I've put some Dr Lipp balm underneath to make it look less dramatic and done up for when the Tesco man arrives .

Just a Burts Bees tinted balm for me today, as I'm slobbing. These are brilliant, and I have one in every bag, plus dotted about the house too!

I've found my people!

I have loads of lipsticks but tend just to wear the same old nude shades. Today's pick was Revolution Iconic Pro in Liberty, a really nice pinky purple.

That's a lovely one Rock, I was looking at the e.l.f make up today and I really fancy one of the matt lip pencil lipsticks! But I MUST resist as I have so many!!!

I went for a Kilo lip gloss stick in 05 which is a cool bright pink. Love it - forgot I had it!

I've failed the challenge today as I just couldn't be bothered to do my make up due to still battling this dreaded cold!

I wore one of the long gone Revlon Butters, creme brûlée, I think.

I might get rid of it.

I’ll join no selfie today but I was wearing illamasqua lava lipstick in vixen today. A really nice pinky soft red. I’ve been trying to wear more lipsticks and had the nyx advent lip calendar in dec so have lots to try out.

I had the NYX advent calendar too, loved it. My fave is the matte lipstick in Eden, such a gorgeous red.

Morning all, it's a casual day here today so I've gone for one of my faves - Rimmel Kate Moss in 55 My Nude. I love this shade and wear it lots.

Excuse the unkempt hair!

@IrisApfelRocks I really like paler nudes but can't pull them off as I'm deathly pale myself.

Today's lucky dip brought up Black Velvet by Lime Crime. Might be a tad too much for a DIY day 😂

P.S I am way too invested in this thread!

Wow iris you are rocking those lips. Today for me Purdy Pursimmon by Wet n Wild. Recommended on YouTube as dupe for a Mac one, Lady Danger maybe. Only £2 on Amazon for great quality lipstick. Case not amazing quality and 1 has broken lid which means I can’t take it out of house but still a great brand to try. Bit much for trampoline party maybe but going to try different lipstick everyday for January on your ladies suggestion!

I've been wanting to try wet n wild lipsticks for a while, this thread will probably lead to more purchases!

I'm not brave enough to do a lucky dip - I'll end up doing the preschool drop off in bright blue and get very strange looks!

Started with Estee Lauder Candy - took it off as decided it looked too 80s on me, and not in a good way. Now wearing Estee Lauder shimmer gloss in Magnificent Mauve.

Loving the thread and seeing everyone's bold and fabulous choices!

No 7 Caramel Silk here. It's one that was colour matched to me, and it's a useful go to for day time.
