Question: if you are over 35, would you wear a bikini like this?

Dh has given me this itsy bitsy bikini. and expects me to wear it in public (when we go on holiday). I am wondering whether I can pluck up the courage.

Dh seems to have overlooked the fact that I am not a tanned 21-year-old Australian model with a Brazilian wax: I am actually a pale-skinned 36-year old and only 5ft 2, with a Caesarean scar. Size 8/10 but nevertheless have a few wobbly bits.

I am very flattered that dh thinks I look good in it, but it is ridiculously skimpy.

So, what would you do? Should I just get into the holiday spirit, wear it and flaunt it, or will I look ridiculous?

(Dds are 2 and 4 so I won't exactly be lounging by the pool on this holiday; I'll be chasing round after them.)

On second thoughts, just forget to pack it and get a fab one for yourself.

Thong bikinis are never a good idea...35 or 15.

Feel pleased that your DH thinks you could carry it off and return it and buy something a little bit bigger

I think you might be in danger of people using your bottom as a bike stand if you have to keep bending over to sort out dds .

I wouldn't wear it and I'm not 30 yet!!! I would of loved it when I was 18 though

Blimey, there's no way I'd have worn such a skimpy bikini even when I was 21 and a honed toned gym freak. With a tan. Sorry, perhaps I'm just a bit of a prude.

I don't even think the model looks good in it - wear it for him in the bedroom if he insists, not practical for round the pool. Leaves too little to the imagination

Oh I don't think so, even if you were 21 with a brazilian wax. Far too much bending over required with DC of that age. 'twoud not be seemly.

Moondog - you wouldn't get arrested on Rhyl beach - that's teh pity. I remember driving along the prom and a woman was walking down the road in a tiny black bikini. Class.

i'm not over 35, but i still wouldnt wear it. maybe if i was 18 perfect body and going on holiday to pull then maybe.....

Sorry to be blunt but I don't think anyone could look good in that. To wear a bikini tht small just makes it look like you've bought one that is the wrong size for you IMO. I'm about the same measurements as you and I would dare wear it.

Glad that your DH thinks you'd look good in it tho!!
