Question: if you are over 35, would you wear a bikini like this?

Dh has given me this itsy bitsy bikini. and expects me to wear it in public (when we go on holiday). I am wondering whether I can pluck up the courage.

Dh seems to have overlooked the fact that I am not a tanned 21-year-old Australian model with a Brazilian wax: I am actually a pale-skinned 36-year old and only 5ft 2, with a Caesarean scar. Size 8/10 but nevertheless have a few wobbly bits.

I am very flattered that dh thinks I look good in it, but it is ridiculously skimpy.

So, what would you do? Should I just get into the holiday spirit, wear it and flaunt it, or will I look ridiculous?

(Dds are 2 and 4 so I won't exactly be lounging by the pool on this holiday; I'll be chasing round after them.)

No I wouldn't wear that bikini. Even with perfect figure I wouldn't want to be running bare-arsed after the DCs all holiday, whilst waiting for people to point out that my snatch is actually on view.

As for the other bikini's - why bother putting them on at all?

Give it to your dh - he can use it as a hanky. But probably his nose will be too big.

I've just asked my dh his opinion on this and his response to the OP's dh was 'Fair play to him, go on son'

My Goodness hatwoman, who on earth would actually wear a bikini like that one? And why oh why would a grown woman want to be totally pubeless?

sorry, but i think it's nasty. i don't think anyone could look nice in something like that.

I would not wear that bikini regardless of my age because I do not like it and I would not feel comfortable in it.

lou - I agree - but do you know why I think it is? some of them are quite well toned - they look a bit muscly/scrawny - you can see bits of definition and creases and I reckon the main difference is that the photos haven;t been air-brushed - we're so used to seeing tiny smoothed over bodies with nary a crease that when we see a real one we think it looks odd.

butterfly, if you get a spray on tan and you look good, why not wear it? but only when lazing on a sunbed, perhaps. if you have to get up put on a sarong so it dooesn't matter if your bits fall out, and your dh will still be happy.

It's horrible.

Wouldn't wear if if I was 17 with a figure to die for.

Mind you, it's the sort of thing my dh would probably think would be great on me. I'll be 41 this year, and although not in bad shape, am certainly not up to some of the things he would like me to wear! Guess we should be flattered that our dh's still think of us as young gorgeous sex kittens .

Only wear it if prepared to kneel on your sun bed on all 4's pouting. I reckon that'd be obligatory in that bikini.

Maybe I shall wear it on condition that:

1. DH pays for my fake tan.
2. Dh pays for my bikni wax.
3. DH looks after the dds for the entire holiday, whilst I recline on a sunlounger, reading short stories and drinking cocktails, so no one can see my bum.

God that is really vile.
