Question: if you are over 35, would you wear a bikini like this?

Dh has given me this itsy bitsy bikini. and expects me to wear it in public (when we go on holiday). I am wondering whether I can pluck up the courage.

Dh seems to have overlooked the fact that I am not a tanned 21-year-old Australian model with a Brazilian wax: I am actually a pale-skinned 36-year old and only 5ft 2, with a Caesarean scar. Size 8/10 but nevertheless have a few wobbly bits.

I am very flattered that dh thinks I look good in it, but it is ridiculously skimpy.

So, what would you do? Should I just get into the holiday spirit, wear it and flaunt it, or will I look ridiculous?

(Dds are 2 and 4 so I won't exactly be lounging by the pool on this holiday; I'll be chasing round after them.)

keep it for the bedroom butterfly. But if you reckon you can carry it off, then why not! If you spend the whole time trying to stop your bits from falling out, it's not worth it.

Dh was a bit offended when I got shocked at how skimpy it is! He pointed out that the bikini he got me actually gives more coverage than most of the other ones on that site. At least it has a triangle of material at the back, whereas some of the others just have a string.

I did ask how he fancied wearing a tight thong (or a suit like Borat in the film) but he replied that he doesn't have the figure for it, and I do.

My bum has never been anywhere near as firm as that model's bum, though...

Plus your bloke would spend the entire time wanting to get you out of said itsy witsy teenie weenie bikini - so he's going to spend the entire holiday by the pool with a stiffy. Not a good look either (unless you're at a Sandals resort).

I think it's sweet that he thinks you would look lovely in it.
So I echo the suggestion of others - parade it for him in privacy, wear something a bit bigger when chasing round after the kids in public!

Yuk, yuk, yuk. Wear it by all means if you want to spend your whole holiday being sniggered at. It doesn't matter how fab your boddage is, that is just vulgar beyond belief. Unless, of course, you are going to Rio de Janeiro where thong bikinis are de rigueur.
