Have moved on to clarins double serum for my night time routine.

Heading into town today sans baby (hooray for alone time!) will browse boots. I do need some new daytime moisturiser so may grab some while I’m there. It’s a legit trip to boots too as we need nappies.

and I may need another ysl colourful mascara

plumstone · 13/10/2017 09:51

Was derma rolled last night, and on the back of that had to buy a new cleanser (Cetaphil, Emma Hardie and Glossier are not gentle enough!!) so I am now in possession of that and an anti redness gel!!!! Can't wear make up till Monday so am saving about 10mins in the morning, as its just the gel and spf, which is just about finished thank goodness, so can justifiably purchase a new one later!!! Have a good day everyone!

I thought I wouldn't be able to put together a list of 25 products, but as it works out - simple! So I will be aiming to use up these products many of which I have had in my possession for more than 2 years. About time they are gone! Had 2 items left on 13 Halloween list, have moved them on this one and from today I am working towards the Christmas list. Now... not quite sure how I am going to manage the heard of the bottles, tubes etc. not to get confused about the priorities.

  1. Vosene shampoo
  2. The Body Shop Camomile cleansing oil
  3. The Body Shop Italian Fig shower gel
  4. The Body Shop Italian Fig body lotion
  5. Coconut Water hair confitioner
  6. The Body Shop facial oil
  7. Studio 10 Glow2Go illuminator
  8. Caudalie Vinoperfect serum travel size
  9. Olution eye cream
  10. This Works In transit Camera Close-up
  11. Got2b hair oil
  12. Sleepy Lavender Massage & Bath oil
  13. Molton Brown Ylang Ylang shower gel 50ml
  14. Espa Overnght hydration mask
  15. Miller Harris Rose Silence perfume
  16. Dermalogica daily microfoliant
  17. REN revitalizing night cream 15ml
  18. Madala Peel mask 12,5ml
  19. Browbar night brow balm
  20. Omorovicza Refining facial polisher
  21. Homemade lavender hand cream I like to use as a foot cream
  22. Burts Bees lip balm
  23. Bigelow rose salve lip balm
  24. Revlon mascara
  25. Brow pencil
d270r0 · 13/10/2017 15:44

I have used up an Aussie miracle moist shampoo from my Halloween list. 7 left to go from it. I am going to try to get through these or at least most of them before starting my Christmas list.

plumstone · 13/10/2017 16:24

Ok so the list is:

  1. L'occitane verveine shower gel
  2. as above soap
  3. as above eau de toilette
  4. Vaseline intensive care body lotion
  5. Bobbi Brown tinted moisturiser
  6. Hourglass - ambient lighting palette - only use two of the colours and have "hit pan" another couple of weeks and its done
  7. Chanel CC cream - can never remember if i like this
  8. Shisedo SPF tinted sun cream - no longer summer I am the right colour for this
  9. Mac red gloss - about 25% left to go
10. Hourglass - single ambient lighting powder 11. Pixie Eyebrow gel 12. Ordinary Niamicide 13. Ordinary lactic Acid 14. Ordinar rosehip oil 15. Super drug Daily Moisturising cream - ok don't love it 16. Avon - double ended weekly retinol night cream 17.Superdrug Glycolic Acid 18. tata Harper eye concentrate 19. weird Greek night cream that I bought on holiday! 20. Palmers coco butter 21. random hand creams in travel sizes 22. random travel sized deodorants 23. Malin & Goetz glycolic pads 24. Shwartzkopf hair oil 25. Bumble and Bumble Curl Creme

To be honest if I get through this I will amazed, however really want to streamline what I use - and reinforce the one out, one in policy - was going to well!!!

kwick · 13/10/2017 18:11

Ooooo plum let us know if the treatment does what is is supposed to!!! (Not sure what that is!!)

I am loving the lists!!!

Tablefor4 · 13/10/2017 19:48

Right - one to bin. Sanctuary micro exfoliate thing. Felt good with a sort of warming tingling thing when you put it on. not sure you buy it any more, but might if I see it

CantChoose · 13/10/2017 23:05

I have finished a toothpaste. I wouldn’t usually count this but it is the one from the good housekeeping beauty box so I think it just about makes the cut...

kwick · 14/10/2017 08:05

Toothpaste counts!! Toothpaste counts!!!

OP posts:
CantChoose · 14/10/2017 09:08

That’s good new kwik - my mum is a dentist and gives me all the freebies so I only use mini toothpastes which don’t last long. Though I don’t count the stores as part of the hoard and I don’t think I can have it both ways :/

suchatiredbunny · 14/10/2017 18:22

Two empties for me today, a BS ginger shampoo which is a staple but doesn't seem to be on offer these days (even at the outlet) so may be a thing of the past for me. I have two travel sizes to use up next though. Second empty is from my Halloween list, a No7 neck Serum which is ok but nothing special I reckon slapping on Astral does as good a job

curragh · 14/10/2017 19:46

Empty no. 58, Matrix biolage co-wash, quite liked this but was from TKMaxx so unlikely to find again

2 left on my 13 for Halloween list - one cleanser & one facial oil. I will start to give some thought to my Christmas list, I'll be aiming for 12 as I haven't many travel and sample size items left until I get the M&S advent calendar

kwick · 14/10/2017 21:54

bunny I love Astral and will mive on to it when I finish my current night cream: M&S formula absolute ultimate sleep cream. I am loving this - is lovely on and seems to actually work!!! I have only been using a week but am very impressed.

pasturesgreen · 15/10/2017 10:26

It's been rather a good week, if I may say so myself Smile

Empties to report:

  • big tube of expensive salon-brand anti-cellulite cream that was supposed to work miracles and did, in fact, sweet fuck all;
  • 50 ml jar of Clinique pep start moisturiser (hated the texture so I'm quite glad to be going back to my old favourite!);
  • sample of Dior Hydra Life serum
  • sample spritzer of Chanel n. 5 eau de toilette.

Have also cut up my tube of Clinique pep start eye cream and I'm using the last dregs, and have about a third left of a bottle of Caudalie serum I don't particularly like. Think I'll reward myself with the new Ren serum once that's finished.

Having said that, it was my birthday on Monday and I'm itching to treat myself to something new, so it's quite possible ill be undoing some of the good work Grin

suchatiredbunny · 15/10/2017 10:39

Happy belated birthday pastures Flowers

d270r0 · 15/10/2017 11:32

I have used up the remnants of a johnsons baby shampoo. The kids have stopped using this but there are 3entire bottles in the cupboard so am going to try using it up on myself, if its ok on my hair.

woodhill · 15/10/2017 13:16

Yes I know, I'm using up an abandoned body butter. Baby shampoo should be fine.

Have used up a travel shampoo and 50ml Clarins hand cream but seem to be still going with most things.

Wore my wedding make up and was pleased, wearing today again

mowglik · 15/10/2017 14:09

I love seeing everyones list, mainly so I can ask about stuff I've been eyeing Grin strawberry how is This Works In transit Camera Close-up? Would you recommend it?
plumstone how do you use your ambient light palette? I bought one (against my better judgement as it didn't work for me when i tried it out) but haven't had much use out of it.

happy birthday pastures, its a great feeling when you get a bumper batch of products finished. its my birthday soon and secretly hoping DH took note when we were in spacenk and i was moaning about being on a no spend month. Is it a little lot sad Im making a list of things to buy in case I get a voucher!

suchatiredbunny · 15/10/2017 14:44

Don't forget you can use the baby shampoo to wash make up brushes in, that will help use it up.

OutToGetYou · 15/10/2017 14:45

Right, aim is to finish the No7 P&P body serum (one more use I think) and No7 blemish prevention serum in the next few days.

25 for Christmas will start after that (I was too late to join 13 for Hallowe'en). I can't be bothered to list them all, so here is a photo. I found quite a few mini things so they are all there to give me a fighting chance!

I also have soon to finish - my fave MooGoo shampoo (do not rebuy until down to last bottle of other shampoo!), a toothpaste (needs replacing), a leave-in conditioner (do not rebuy, I have two other similar things, two oils and one other spray one and two normal conditioners).
Made some space by combining two bottles of the same spray conditioner both of which were half empty.

Once this is done I'm buying a few travel bottles to stop me keep buying seconds of things.

The thing I struggle with is body lotion - who has time for it!? I've got three in those miniatures, two full size ones, another I am trying to give to the local Xmas tombola and one of those spray ones. Probably more to be honest!

CantChoose · 15/10/2017 16:53

OutTo I use body lotion every day and it’s one of the few things I regularly run out of. My skin feels tight and horrible without. Bizarre as my face is super oily...

I’ve done well today - one more off my 25 list: the joules body scrub. And I’ve thrown out a nearly empty hypnose mascara that was due to go anyway which means I can start the smashbox one from my list.

OutToGetYou · 15/10/2017 20:47

I wonder how near me you are, I could happily pass on two full ones I will never use. :)

I've not bothered to put make up on the list as I only wear it about four times a year, so I never run out of anything. Well, I use CC cream/tinted moisturiser/BB cream every day, and powder on top, concealer if I'm feeling blotchy. But nothing else.

I now and then use primer and a cream blush.

But almost never things like lipstick, mascara, eye pencil etc. I'm so lazy. I should throw a lot out as it is years old. I like the idea of it and buying it but not actually using it.

BigStripeyBastard · 15/10/2017 21:30

Well, unusual happenings are afoot..... I have used up so much stuff since joining this thread about a year ago that I am now close to actually running out of stuff. This week, I have started on my last pot of Clinique TTDO balm, I am down to the last half bottle of of my glycolic toner amd I am down to the dregs of my last huge bottle of micellar water! I've put in an order with The Ordinary because I now actually NEED to replace stuff and not because it is the new thing I want to try even though I have bags of stuff just waiting to be used. And I do need this stuff as I literally do not have enough of my staples to last until my advent calendar kicks in in December!
Ok, I still have a shed load of moisturiser and various cleansers to use but this is the first time I have really seen that I have made a sizeable dent in my stash! I am very grateful to this thread and all who sail in her! 😊

ememem84 · 15/10/2017 22:51

Starting tomorrow will moisturise while body every day. May have to do it in the evenings though. Getting ready in the morning with ds is a nightmare. Some days I can barely shower.
