cant we were meant to be moving next friday. Not sure if the happening yet. So haven’t started packing.

kalinkafoxtrot45 · 03/03/2018 10:46

Empty: Body Shop chamomile eye make up remover travel size

CantChoose · 03/03/2018 16:46

Gosh that must be very stressful, emem! How come you're not sure this close to the move date?
We started clearing out our loft today. Probably sorted about 50% so not too bad going!

I've finished an envy me perfume sample vial, was ok, wouldn't repurchase.

I've also remembered I finished an aveeno hand cream I'd taken to work. I've taken in the big pump one that was on my Xmas list so hopefully I'll finally finish it!

ememem84 · 03/03/2018 18:23

cant just a bit stressful...! We’re not sure because, well long story, but we live in an apartment block which had a management company managing it. Then Saud management quit. Then new company was only appointed on Friday. Aaaah. So we need management co to answer legal questions. I’ve answered them already but I’m not the management. Aaah.

IPokeBadgers · 04/03/2018 12:41

Another wee empty: a Neals Yard Garden Mint and Bergamot handcream. Quite good but wouldn't purchase....this was a magazine freebie. First time I have managed to use up a Neals Yard product before it started smelling off.

Experiment627 · 05/03/2018 07:01

@ememem84 sounds very stressful - hope you get the answers you need asap!

I have 3 empties:

  • Johnson's baby shampoo 300ml: this is a staple for me, will repurchase when I see on offer
  • Alpha H liquid gold Rose 50ml: very good on spots, have The Ordinary glycolic acid to try next
  • Elemis pro-collagen marine cream 15ml: I am still waiting for miracle to happen to my skin Grin
Experiment627 · 05/03/2018 07:25

And I am finally chucking this item as too small to use easily:

  • Mac lip liner "Whirl": not bad for something I found on the street 😬 - goes on smoothly and a nice neutral colour
ememem84 · 05/03/2018 11:04

Annoyingly am throwing away my clarins facial sunscreen. It’s spf 50. But it’s been open for about 2 years. I should have used it everyday. But didn’t.

I will rebuy. But not until I go back to work.

kalinkafoxtrot45 · 05/03/2018 14:33

2 empties: L’oreal eye make up remover, and Olioligy coconut shampoo. Would probably rebuy the eye makeup remover.

ememem84 · 05/03/2018 21:15

Travek size clarins hydra quench cream. I love this. Super moisturising smells great!!

MajestyRoyal · 05/03/2018 22:49

Would like to join.

Need to get through masses of products and then find my holy grails and just have one of each.

I have already switched my make up to one cruelty free brand. Once I have used up all moisturisers/body sprays etc. I'm hoping to do the same. Just stick to one brand for skincare, hair products and bath products. Then there is no faffing and overbuying.

Looking forward to having more empties and watching my product pile decrease Smile

AnotherPinkiePieStory · 06/03/2018 14:32

Welcome Majesty. All welcome. This thread has greatly reduced my buying although I’ve just turned my attention to perfume and lipstick!
However have managed to finish Body Shop apple body butter which is now discontinued but amazing, Glossier face wash (lovely expensive but will repurchase) and oribe hair volumiser that didn’t do much and I think is crazy expensive full price!

Trying to avoid purchases but Deciem look like they are in trouble so I’m itchy to stock up on my faves; azeliac acid, HA, niacinamide and the oil!
Still have stuff on my valentines list but not much call for tanned limbs in this Scottish snow!

ememem84 · 06/03/2018 17:25

Bought two dry shampoos. A tresseme one (which is lush) and a lee Stafford one (I think someone here used it and said it was amazing).

FrustratedFrugal · 06/03/2018 18:12

Welcome Majesty.
Few empties here, but finished a 5ml mini of Frederic Malle’s Musc Ravageur. My fave this winter. I bought a 10 ml travel size to replace it.

Experiment627 · 08/03/2018 06:38

@AnotherPinkiePieStory what is this you say about Deciem being in trouble?

kalinkafoxtrot45 · 08/03/2018 07:27

Two more empties: an Aveeno body wash and a Soap & Glory scrub.

AnotherPinkiePieStory · 09/03/2018 08:02

experiment CEO of deciem seems to have gone a little wild and making really inappropriate tweets/ insta posts. I think he has been fired. Victoria Health has announced that they stopped working with them after a vague email and they seemed to be main UK suppliers. I think ASOS still stock though.
Nothing empty to report except boring M&S perfume sample.

CantChoose · 09/03/2018 21:56

After a recent impressive run I've very little to report I'm afraid.
I've finished a sachet of L'Oréal anti dandruff shampoo. They seem to be really pushing this at the moment, I've had loads of sachets in magazines. It's alright, I wouldn't repurchase as I don't really need it!

ememem84 · 10/03/2018 07:57

Thread has fallen off my “threads I’m on” list. Sigh.

Still working to use things up before the move. Aiming for another two by the end of this week.

CantChoose · 10/03/2018 08:36

Is all looking good to go then, emem? We've got a completion date! 6th April. Still haven't got all the paperwork in place quite yet so fingers crossed it all works out.
I've seen that QVC are selling a rose version of the elemis cleaning balm. And it's my birthday today. Someone talk me down please!!

CantChoose · 10/03/2018 08:37

Are we getting near the end of the thread @Experiment627 ?? Can't believe how well everyone has done!

ememem84 · 10/03/2018 08:45

cantchoose meant to go through this Friday. We’ve hit a snag. But hopefully it can be sorted out (by us leaving a hefty retainer with our lawyers...) our buyers are very upset at the news. It’s their lending bank who have brought this up at the last minute.

AnotherPinkiePieStory · 10/03/2018 09:06

Em sending best wishes Flowers. Moving is the pits!
cant happy birthday (get it) Flowers. You deserve it AND will make me feel better for the unnecessary perfume in shopping baskets on 3 different sites! Blush

CantChoose · 10/03/2018 09:11

Haha another I should have known you'd say that ;)
I've just opened my birthday cards and some had cheques in so I might order it. I'm going into London today though so it might be a case of easy come easy go!
emem that sounds very frustrating. The roof we are buying doesn't meet current standards and the solicitor said the lender might not go ahead but it's all been approved - I hope they don't notice before we complete!!! It's a really easy fix but our vendors are arseholes so there's no way they'd fix it in advance so we've not bothered asking.

ememem84 · 10/03/2018 09:24

Happy birthday cant another one saying doooooooiiiitttt!

It is super frustrating. But it’ll get resolved. I’m speaking with our lawyer on Monday. It’s unfortunate that the news hit me at 530 yesterday. The bank won’t lend because our apartment building doesn’t have a fire certificate. An application has been submitted but this is a relatively new thing so there’s a bit of a backlog. We’re going to get our lawyer to speak to the banks legal team and point out that they already lend on the apartment (our mortgage) and application is being processed. We have confirmation of this. So hopefully this will delay things not put a stop to it completely.
