Well done mrsm it is Tuberose. Perhaps not the best to wear when you can’t breathe very well though

Pest was spot on with amber, a little bit spicy

BluebellGal · 26/10/2017 23:01

Oh and also Jasmine which can be confused with Tuberose

MrsPestilence · 26/10/2017 23:15

FFS just said to DH its tuberose. I have been influenced by the sledgehammer tuberose in Bombfire .

MrsPestilence · 26/10/2017 23:16

Oscar?

MrsPestilence · 26/10/2017 23:17

Goodness MrsM did you manage to faint? Or just cause a bit of a scene? (with coughing, spluttering and asthma attack?

BluebellGal · 26/10/2017 23:20

Oh no mrsm asthmatic attacks are scary, glad to hear the staff were nice to you

Pest well done to you too Star nope not Oscar

BluebellGal · 26/10/2017 23:23

^meant to say asthma attack/ hyperventilating. Anything to do with breathing going awry is scary (I have asthma)

MrsPestilence · 26/10/2017 23:28

I'd put myrrh as the spice.
Think we might have to wait for the nally nose to recover.
It does decongest the sinuses, I should stop sniffing so deeply.

MrsMacNally · 26/10/2017 23:32

I was a very British and discreet Pest. Took myself off to a vestibule, where fortunately there were a couple of train staff.

MrsMacNally · 26/10/2017 23:49

Tuberose and amber, relation to Poison, sounds like it could be Truth or Dare, but that's just based on reading up on notes...

MrsPestilence · 27/10/2017 00:00

Spices developing, so searched by notes and got this eclectic selection.

Now I am already distracted and want to know if this lot smell similar.

MrsMacNally · 27/10/2017 00:11

Have you found a way to search by multiple notes Pest?

BluebellGal · 27/10/2017 07:48

It’s none of those Pest i think the slight spice is coming from orris root which is a wood not spice so there’s no actual spice in it

MrsPestilence · 27/10/2017 07:55

MrsM you can search by notes on Fragrantica , very useful.

I can still smell it this morning. As he was falling asleep DH reckoned I had a bit on an energy drink smell going on Hmm

BluebellGal · 27/10/2017 08:21

Grin Pest so interesting what people smell when you have no preconceptions. I’m guessing neither of you are a fan of this one? Not surprising as Tuberose is a marmite fragrance

MrsPestilence · 27/10/2017 08:28

I really like it, it is one of those constantly changing journey perfumes.

My name is Pest, I am a tuberose addict. Wink

MrsPestilence · 27/10/2017 08:31

Search by notes is in the menu bar on the left of the fragrantica page. This link should work better

MrsMacNally · 27/10/2017 10:01

Morning! Pest & Bluebell - your packages are on their way - hoping they'll be with you in the morning.

Blue I like the heart and drydown of A, more than the opening. It reminds me so much of the tuberose note from Poison - which I admire, but don't feel at home with (IYKWIM). I'm not going to guess this unless there are clues!

Yes, isn't it interesting to sniff without any contextual information. Makes me realise how much influence packaging and branding has in forming judgements of 'quality', even though I try to think critically about this. (I know lots of pretty undistinguished stuff sells at a premium because it is put out by a trendy niche house, and that there are lots of glorious things out there that aren't 'high end').

Isn't this a great thing to do...very excited with 5 more to explore. Smile

BluebellGal · 27/10/2017 10:12

Big clue ladies: It’s a British perfume house and nose.

SOTD is Pest Sample A really enjoying it and I think I know what it might be but don’t want to ruin it for mrsm

BluebellGal · 27/10/2017 10:13

It’s powdery and a very distinctive flower

BorisTrumpsLair · 27/10/2017 10:22

its a glorious autumnal day in London and I am in the office alone, Maxed Out!

MrsMacNally · 27/10/2017 10:25

Put me out of my misery Blue - am wondering about Miller Harris or Jo Malone...

MrsMacNally · 27/10/2017 10:26

Brave Boris!

BluebellGal · 27/10/2017 10:29

Well done mrsm it’s Miller Harris Noix de Tubereuse
