Thoughts?

I know a lot of people think hush is overpriced tat, but this thread is for those of us that still buy the odd thing.

I've had a brief look & like the look of the Christie coat & Cassie dress. Last year I got a dress in the same style of this years clover dress, which I love.

However, the prints this year are awful.

I've given into temptation, joined the party and ordered two items - the Lightning Bolt tee in burgundy (have it in grey already so know I will get lots of wear out of it), and the Modal Ruched Skirt in burgundy (for me it can replace the desire for a non-existent burgundy Tara dress)!

I really want to try to steer clear of ordering any black/grey clothes for a while and the skirt might get me out of jeans!

MumBod · 19/08/2017 09:17

Okay, the size 12 Ren Midi arrived and it's perfect.

Nearlyadoctor · 19/08/2017 09:35

Good news Mum

Laska5772 · 19/08/2017 12:29

Ivy dress in Forest is great I did size down though to a S , I probably will keep it ,but but Im thinking its a bit expensive for what it is ..

The Blue Cassie dress Is nice but I am thinking it would look better if I wasnt quite so busty! Am not so sure about it .Like the blue better than the grey atm but am going to try them on again properly with opaques and shoes later on .. the Blue L isfar too big. but I have a M coming from John lewis ( but sadly not with 10% off.. )

UpsyDaisy77 · 19/08/2017 15:32

Oh no l wish l hadn't seen this thread, you are all enablers! Wink Got my eye on so many things but l always find the hush sizing so all over the place. I have the Tara dress in my basket, absolutely gutted they don't have it in red this year Sad, I'm not sure if it will suit me though as I'm an hourglass and rather large of arse, does it only suit more straight up and down women?
Also swithering between the Amie joggers or the hareems? And have a few staple star jumpers in the basket, they always sell out before l get round to buying. One day when l lose 2 stone & win the lottery l will buy the holy grail leather leggings

MumBod · 19/08/2017 16:00

I love Hush harems. They are the comfiest things ever, and look vaguely respectable while feeling like pyjamas.

I've also got the Holy Grail leather leggings, but they haven't been such a success because of my fat tummy

I aim to lose half a stone by November so I can wear them this year.

PollyPerky · 19/08/2017 16:03

I've ordered the Tara, Cicely and Cassie dresses. I'm an 8-10 and expect them to swamp me. They seem to be for taller people.

Talisin · 19/08/2017 16:42

I got the blue Cassie dress today as well. I like it and will be keeping it but it would definitely be more flattering side-on if I were flatter of chest! It is also defintitely blue and not the bluey green it looked on my screen.

I am now being drawn to the Alexis trousers with the gold stripe. Actually, all the things with the gold stripe Confused

OneThingAndThenTheNext · 19/08/2017 17:25

I really want a pair of blue harems. Have 2 other pairs, but not blue!

Swimminguphill · 19/08/2017 18:25

I am assuming everyone is using the preview code for 10% off! A17PREVIEW

Can I just say again how lovely the maxi shirt dress is? I know mumbod didn't get on with it. For me it is def a Christmas party type dress but with added 'what this old thing?' With the glitz/glamour. I am a size 12 but with big shoulders and noobs and I have gone for a size 16 after trying on in store because I wanted a really louche fit. I have rolled up the sleeves and undone the buttons til it is nearly indecent, with the shirred waist on my hips it nearly hits the floor. The proportions are great on me as a tall, big framed woman and I have big auburn hair so maybe that's why it works. I feel like an off-duty superhero in it. Perhaps not one for the school run.

Swimminguphill · 19/08/2017 18:26

Boobs ffs not noobs...

QueenoftheAndals · 19/08/2017 18:58

I adore the leather biker jacket, it's the only one I've found that's soft leather and looks good on me but even with 10% off its too pricey 😭

missfliss · 19/08/2017 19:07

swimminguphill can we see a pic of the maxi shirt dress?

Nearlyadoctor · 19/08/2017 19:23

Polly I'm 8-10 5'4 and wear my Tara dresses all the time. Can't speak for the others though. Tara I wear a small .

Swimminguphill · 19/08/2017 20:15

Ok I hope you can see this as I had to stand on a stool to get it! It doesn't do justice to the sparkliness or the cut as it's hard to model while jumping up on a stool to a 10s timer Smile

Hush new collection.
MumBod · 19/08/2017 23:01

You look amazing in it.

Swimminguphill · 19/08/2017 23:07

Thank you mumbod actually in this shot I look like nelson's column but am not a natural selfie taker 😂. You look exceptionally fine in your purchases too!

Laska5772 · 20/08/2017 05:41

ive gone for the Ivy in burgyundy as well Blush

CorrigansDoorKnob · 20/08/2017 06:22

Swimminguphill that dress looks amazing! I've ordered it too - in a way I'm hoping I don't like it as it's almost £100.

I have 2 Tara dresses and I'm a pear shape. I usually have to wear dresses that define my waist but this one works. I'm 173cm and a size 12. I sized down to the S to get a good fit.

SesameSparkle · 20/08/2017 11:11

I went to John Lewis yesterday to have a look at the hush stuff. I didn't have much luck.

The Ren dress looked rubbish on me. I'm 5,4, straight up and down. The length was okay, but the dropped waist looked terrible and the whole thing just hung off me like a big sack.

I also had the Cassie on, which didn't work - though tbh I didn't really expect it to, as I can't usually get away with anything that baggy over my hips. Also the blue colour was a bit shiny/cheap looking under the JL lights.

The lightening bolt T was okay, but I didn't love it.

The yellow Adelaide top was completely see through.

I didn't try any jumpers, as they're a little out of my price range. I think I'd do better somewhere like whistles on their 25% event for similar.

The black cross body bag looks lovely.

I may order the burgundy cotton slub V neck T. I have the same in white and khaki, and they've been really versatile right through the summer.

The shirt dress as modelled by swimming looks gorgeous and I'm tempted to order - despite my height - just to try it on.

fivefour3twoone · 20/08/2017 11:28

I've got the burgundy slub v neck tshirt, I'm deliberating over whether to keep the pink one I ordered.

Swimminguphill · 20/08/2017 11:28

Hi Sesame, I think, due to the splits up each side, that it could be very easily taken up with that sticky tape and an iron if you're not handy with a sewing machine, if you like the look but the length is too much. I was surprised as most Hush clothes come up short on me...

Swimminguphill · 20/08/2017 11:30

Fivefour I looked actually dead in the pink when I tried it on last season. I think it's a really tricky colour. Burgundy on the other hand 👌

SeekEveryEveryKnownHidingPlace · 20/08/2017 11:31

I might finally get a Tara dress this year - but I don't want it knee length like on the new model!

I think the Florence skirt is pretty, but I'm worried it'll look as though I've got my skirt all tucked up in my knickers!

MartinRohdesBellybuttonFluff · 20/08/2017 11:35

Just a word of warning fivefour3twoone, as mentioned upthread I also have the v-neck cotton slub tee only 2 - 3 months which has been lovingly washed on a gentle cycle. There are little holes appearing in it Sad

I haven't bothered contacting "Love the Hush Team" to complain, but a long term t-shirt it ain't (which is disappointing at the price)!
