Thoughts?

I know a lot of people think hush is overpriced tat, but this thread is for those of us that still buy the odd thing.

I've had a brief look & like the look of the Christie coat & Cassie dress. Last year I got a dress in the same style of this years clover dress, which I love.

However, the prints this year are awful.

And that's all the pics I'm allowed to upload!

fivefour3twoone · 18/08/2017 10:40

Thanks mumbod I love the look of the skirt with the cardi, love the cardi but not sure I could carry it off (not as slim as you!) x

MumBod · 18/08/2017 10:41

Ha, goes to show how flattering it is!

5ft 7, size 14, 12st 8 over here!

christmasunicorn · 18/08/2017 11:35

Love the cardi and the skirt. You have a gorgeous figure mumbod

MumBod · 18/08/2017 12:18

Thank you, but it really is down to the clothes Smile

missfliss · 18/08/2017 12:43

I've ordered the love sweater in grey and red - very very tempted by ascot heels in red, but will hung around for similar instead.

MartinRohdesBellybuttonFluff · 18/08/2017 16:06

Lovely new clothes MumBod! Love the cardigan and skirt but agree that the dress could be too big for you!

MumBod · 18/08/2017 17:35

I've ordered the 12- if that's too small I like the dress enough to get the 14 altered.

I just know it's the kind of style I'll wear for years.

Nearlyadoctor · 18/08/2017 17:53

Finally got around to putting my order in - Ash dress in burgundy, Big Love jumper in Rose ( ordered x2 sizes) Cannes overlay top in cream, sloppy Joe in brick and based on Mumbod's review the wide jersey top in both colours.( on back order)
Will feedback when it all arrives.

SesameSparkle · 18/08/2017 18:19

Oh no, I've been trying to ignore all the hush emails even though I'm very much lurking on this thread and that midi dress has caught my eye.... Thanks for sharing the photo mumbod. I'm a bit shorter though, so it might be more maxi on me. Also I'm not sure I can justify the cost..... Hmm

MumBod · 18/08/2017 18:25

It seems much better quality material than dresses I've had in previous years.

Justfivemoreminutesplease · 18/08/2017 18:45

This new collection is going to bankrupt me! I keep on looking at everyone's purchases and seeing more and more that I like. Does anyone have the Sinatra shirt and if so, what's the fabric like please?
Think I will definitely have to abandon all this weekend and head off to JL to try things on. Wish they had a shop that carried the full stock.

miffy2 · 18/08/2017 19:40

Ugh, I have now placed two (!) orders. Including
Ren midi dress, wide jersey top in grey, amie joggers in navy, erika black knitted top, the star biker sweatshirt, florence skirt (thanks to mumbod ) the Ivy dress in burgundy and tights!!! ! I will NOT be keeping it all as I can't afford it, but I have learned with Hush that if you think you will like it, you should order it straight away. Learned my lesson that they don't always restock items :(

It is my birthday in 3 weeks so I may keep some things for DH to 'wrap' for me.

Nearlyadoctor · 18/08/2017 19:45

Miffy your post has just made me smile, I've just done a second order as well. Florence skirt ( again thanks to Mumbod). Funnily enough also the Erica black knitted top, and the Helen jumper in black.
It's my birthday on Tuesday - great minds and all that!

neveradullmoment99 · 18/08/2017 20:24

Has anyone received the wide jersey top? I was considering ordering it but I am a 12 and not sure whether to buy the small or medium?

ilovecherries · 18/08/2017 20:45

This thread has enabled me. Was always too large for Hush, but used to lust after some of their stuff. Lost a load of weight this year, so have ordered the Tara dress, the ruched skirt, lightening tee, star jumper, and the dolman sleeve top. Oops.

fivefour3twoone · 18/08/2017 20:51

Hush may have to employ mumbod as a representative after this!
Please report back on the wide jersey top everyone...am eyeing up...

I've ordered various tshirts and a top Smile

Whitney168 · 18/08/2017 20:58

I want the Althea knitted dress in the burgundy.

MumBod, what is sizing like on the Wide Jersey Top please - I hate it when they put measurements instead of dress sizes against the S/M/L range!

captainfunderpants · 18/08/2017 20:58

Merricats I've got the Amie joggers.

I quite like them, but wasn't bowled over. Hard to explain why. They're just a bit ordinary for the price. I'm a small in their joggers/harems and somehow feel that they make me look a bit bottom heavy even though I don't think I am really.

They just weren't massively flattering, but for lounging around at home they would be fine. I bought them to wear on days when I want to look pulled together but basically want to slop around in comfy clothes.I bought some basic black joggers in Sweaty Betty a while ago for roughly the same price and they are much better and far more flattering. I wear them out a lot more than the Amie.

miffy2 · 18/08/2017 22:22

I wish I could give a 'Like' to all the above posts LOL.

The dolman sleeve tops are lovely, I have accumulated three over the past three years and wear them a lot.

I like to have decent 'loungewear' as I change out of my work clothes around 3pm but need to look decent enough for school runs/shopping/answering the door and pJs don't quite cut it.

ilovecherries that is a great reason to shop, good on you!! I have lost some weight (13 lbs in the past 2 months and another 13 on the way out) and like you I feel kind of justified buying some pretty new items. :)

BritabroadinAsia · 19/08/2017 04:12

Thanks Mumbod for the excellent reviews. What size did you order the big Love jumper in? And which colourway did you prefer? Am thinking of ordering the blush...need talking down...

theaveragewife · 19/08/2017 04:44

Love most of this new collection, esp the pre-order green dress and long Althea burgundy, also eyeing the low cut black tshirt with lace, which is reasonably priced.

£130 for a hand wash jumper though??? That's one expensive wear once - until I can be bothered to hand wash (once a month) - purchase!

WorrisomeHeart · 19/08/2017 06:38

Can I ask a quick question re the Tara dress and and sizing? I'm an apple and tend to sit on the 16 side of 14-16, with large-ish boobs. I love the green v neck summer Tara that's on sale at the moment but the only size left is XL. Do you think the top would be too baggy? Also, the reviews are varied on whether it's flattering on an apple with a mum tum, what have people found?

MumBod · 19/08/2017 07:43

Whitney I bought the wide jersey top in medium and it's plenty big enough. I would say it runs quite large. It skims me but doesn't swamp.

Althea I bought the big Love jumper in large because I wanted it slouchy and long enough for my long back. It's perfect.

The other colour hasn't arrived yet (I pre-ordered it) but I'll be keeping the blush because I love it so much!

MumBod · 19/08/2017 07:43

Sorry, last comment should have been to Brit. Shtoopid memory Blush
