Thoughts?

I know a lot of people think hush is overpriced tat, but this thread is for those of us that still buy the odd thing.

I've had a brief look & like the look of the Christie coat & Cassie dress. Last year I got a dress in the same style of this years clover dress, which I love.

However, the prints this year are awful.

How does the sabrina cardigan wash up? My worry is that it would stretch and go out of shape easily. Its a risk for over £100. I do love the pale grey though.

Whitney168 · 19/10/2017 10:42

Just tried the Sabrinas on again - think the L is too big for me (at 14-16). S is fine, no issues at all with 'fit', the only query is whether the look is right and think it's fine.

MartinRohdesBellybuttonFluff · 19/10/2017 11:03

Well, I've sent a message so will just have to wait and see what they have to say....

Laska5772 · 19/10/2017 11:08

I have the Jacqui cardi coat from last year ( but I only paid £60 - I just checked!) . it is really lovely though but heavy weight so a proper winter cardi coat and comes up big. its great in my freezing office .
I also have the Lucie jumper in pink.. heavy cotton.. nice but I'd size down.

Have given the Alice dress a go as I have loved the Ivy ones so much this season. not the same but also loose style

Laska5772 · 19/10/2017 11:09

all in the archive sale

miffy2 · 19/10/2017 11:20

I can highly recommend the Naomi dress and the Nessa cardigan, both in the sale. Have both two years now I think and wear them a lot. The dress washes great.

RubbishMantra · 19/10/2017 13:30

Archive sale you say? Am liking the quilted Laura dress so far. Anyone have it? Is it the usual larger fit?

MartinRohdesBellybuttonFluff · 19/10/2017 14:47

Wow, very impressed with Customer Service. No quibbles, full refund and I've been told to keep the jumper too. Thanks for suggesting getting in touch!

Do you reckon they lurk?!Halloween Grin

Thats a shame honey
I have looked at it many times but think the colour would really drain my sallow skin. I love the look of the olive one too but again not sure it would be great on my skin tone so have avoided.

Theonlyoneiknow · 19/10/2017 22:09

Had the rare opportunity to try some Hush things on in JL today (live 500 miles away!) didn't buy anything !!! They didn't have the lightning bolt jumper I was after but everything I tried on was just a bit shapeless. Booooooo. The boyfriend jeans were nice though and the expensive leather jacket. Does anyone know if it softens up over time?

Laska5772 · 20/10/2017 16:41

Report from the heritage sale.. I am keeping the Alice dress (is rather Lagenlook but I do like it) . but the Nessa cardi sadly doesn't do anything for me..Strangely the M is huge.. and they have none smaller. Its lovely and really chunky wool - would look great on someone taller than me I think ( I am 5'5) Anyway its going back .

But in the Alice dress I sized up for the L! (it looks so much better on me being really loose (would normally go for either S or M) . The only thing that would improve it is pockets.. - ill be sending a S back tomorrow if anyone interested ) .

neveradullmoment99 · 20/10/2017 18:52

Well my sale stuff came too laska and I ordered the Alice dress but the jury is out. Not sure i really like the back of it and the gathers. I agree about the pockets. I also managed to bag the gardinia dress. It is really much nicer on than i thought and the neckline really suits me [ I have a long neck] but the sleeves are so long! Has anyone else got this problem?
As for the other things - ordered a jumper - chain mail looking one [looks lovely but remember reviews about it pulling badly, so not sure] velvet skinny jeans that i still have to try on, silk shirt with the ties [ not sure about that one either] and the alex dress similar in style to the others that are longer at the back but in plain navy. Had it on today and i love it. May just return all of it apart from the Alex dress. Will see.

neveradullmoment99 · 20/10/2017 18:55

Laska on the Alice dress I remember ordering it way back when it first came out an it was tiny in the sleeves especially. I had ordered it in the small so when i saw it in a medium took a chance on it. It fits fine but not sure whether its a bit too 'pregnancy smock' for me. Need to try it on again. I had it over skinny jeans but it might be nicer with thick leggings and boots.

QueenOfTheAndals · 21/10/2017 11:16

Is the heritage sale just their way of putting a new spin on what they've got left over from the summer sale?

neveradullmoment99 · 21/10/2017 11:56

It seems so or more like archive sale because things are from a number of seasons ago.
Well I am sending back most of the items anyway. The velvet trousers had a hole at the loop hole and upon taking them off noticed their was a return receipt in the pocket saying they were faulty!!!!!!!

RubbishMantra · 21/10/2017 12:35

That's a bit naughty of them never!

I ordered 2 dresses - Laura and Eva. By the time I got to the till, someone else had already nabbed them in my chosen colours, so I've taken a chance on my second choice colours. We shall see...

Love my parka, but I'm going to get a small button sewn in for the hood to attach to when not up. I was attempting to have a rummage through the yellow stickered aisle and it kept flopping over my entire head, rendering me sightless! Also adding a tiny button to where the hood zips on, as it's so heavy and the zip keeps opening about an inch. And I'm a big fusspot!

The H&M shirt dress is surprisingly non-wrinkly isn't it Laska. Quite pleased with that.

Laska5772 · 21/10/2017 14:45

never yes i wondered that but have settled on it looking 'scandi style' ( ypu see a lot of stylish women inDenmark wearing that kind of thing Dh has Danish reles i like their style . Have a couple of Hultquist long pendants to wear with it . Looks pretty good on me i think. Tried it on again this morning with skinnies and boots , def the way to go. But yes it needs to be sized upto avoid
'smock' look.
Mantra i am really pleased with theH&M dress .had lots of compliments.. it does need ironing though..

Laska5772 · 21/10/2017 14:47

Also legging and boots with the Alice dress is good. I have some nice gret ribbed leggings (m&s a couple yeats ago!) they look nice with the Alice dress and grey boots

Laska5772 · 21/10/2017 14:48

Grey ribbed leggings ... sorry fat fingers on phone !

neveradullmoment99 · 21/10/2017 18:04

Fat finger ha ha...

Well suprised myself and decided to keep the Alice dress. I had tights on this morning and it looked pretty good. I have the medium and had a good look at myself from the side and behind and it looks fine. I have the star pendant and was thinking exactly the same thing laska. I will also wear with leggings and boots. Its too comfy to return!

trumptown · 21/10/2017 19:09

I ordered the wool zip skirt and the Eva dress from the archive sale yesterday and got them today. Both fantastic and great reductions. Shame that the Eva dress looks like someone has crumpled it up in to a small ball and put it under a mattress and then slept on it all night!! Might complain to customer services about the state it turned up in!

MartinRohdesBellybuttonFluff · 21/10/2017 20:09

I have the Eva dress as well trumptown. I love the cut and shape of it but am sorry to report you only have to look at it and it creases and it's a pita to iron. Still love it though Halloween Grin

Wellhellothere1 · 21/10/2017 20:37

I sat in my hands and resisted the archive sale but recently bought the Tara dress in grey and black amore sweatshirt. I really like both. I'm a bit between sizes in the Tara dress though. I can hardly get the XS on (I'm usually a size 10) and the S kind of drowns me on top. However the ruching in the skirt compensates for this I think-I've yet to wear it though! The sweatshirt is wonderfully soft and cosy but again is on the big size and I had to size down (XS in this).
Payday on Wednesday......

FizzPopping · 21/10/2017 21:04

I've got my sale order and keeping the grey skinny jeans. My Eva dress was ridiculously crumpled and didn't do me any favours so it's going back. I also got the rust coloured bubble knit jumper which is lovely and cosy but can't decide if it's just a bit too oversized so still not sure if I'm keeping it.

Also was the fastest I've ever received a hush order, very prompt!
