Thoughts?

I know a lot of people think hush is overpriced tat, but this thread is for those of us that still buy the odd thing.

I've had a brief look & like the look of the Christie coat & Cassie dress. Last year I got a dress in the same style of this years clover dress, which I love.

However, the prints this year are awful.

Bloomed, it's hard to tell, honestly, as they don't fit me well so don't look right. I think the leopard ones look a bit like pyjamas Grin. Having said that, stick them with a smart sandal or a heel and they might look good. I think the site has some images of them dressed up a bit.

MartinRohdesBellybuttonFluff · 16/10/2017 10:38

I mentioned way upthread that I have the emboidered love jumper. I am concerned about the quality of the embroidery tbh. There are lots of pulls and loose threads (as you can see from the pictures). Does anyone else have it and have you noticed the same, or do I have a bit of a dud which is worth complaining about?

I haven't even worn it yet as I'm a bit concerned. What do you think?

Martin, I don't have the jumper but it's worth complaining whether you've just got one dud or whether they're all that shoddy.

neveradullmoment99 · 16/10/2017 12:08

Why dont you order another one in the same size and do a swap?

neveradullmoment99 · 16/10/2017 12:09

If it is just as bad when you get the other one, then you will know to email them and get a refund! Thats exactly what i would do.

Nearlyadoctor · 16/10/2017 12:15

For the cost I would want it perfect. Nevers suggestion is a good one.

RubbishMantra · 16/10/2017 13:52

I've had problems with Royal Mail tracking too. The replacement parka took a week to arrive, so Hush sent out another one. Gave them both a thorough visual once over to make sure no faults and am keeping the bestest.😊

Has anyone ordered anything off the new Christophe Lemaire collection at Uniqlo? I got a sweatshirt made of a heavy silky viscose. Am well pleased with it.

miffy2 · 16/10/2017 14:38

Well my dress that was sent on Wednesday has arrived at my forwarding service this morning according the RM site, so I might have it by Wednesday. So much for 48 hour turnaround. The wrap shirt that was shipped out on Thursday has no updates yet. That RM tracking site is a nightmare since they added on the captcha feature. Apart from anything else my Parcel app can no longer track RM packages :(

Grounddown17 · 16/10/2017 16:12

In the end I returned both of the wide jersey tops. I tried the grey one on again and found the bat wingyness of it didn't look right. I worried it would be something I wore once or twice and then regretted buying.

I'm contemplating trying again with the Cassie dress. I'm a 12 and the S was huge! Can anybone tell me what the XS is like size wise?

miffy2 · 17/10/2017 15:46

I am sending back two Gardenia dresses :( :( in 12 and 14. The 14 fits well, the 12 is a bit tight around the chest area. Unfortunately, at the back of the neck, just below the buttons, there is a big puckering of material that just won't sit. Shem I stand sideways I can see it sticking out. Such a pity as the 14 is a great length.

I am however waiting on the Atlas wrap shirt in the same pattern so if that is nice on I won't regret sending the dresses back.

That's it now, I am done. I got a long skirt in Fat Face on sale today, and a sloppy black and white striped jumper in Zara. I am all set for winter!

Theonlyoneiknow · 17/10/2017 19:06

Does anyone know best place to try on Hush in an actual store? Would John Lewis on Regents street work (have a 2hr shopping window soon!) 😀 Keen to try on the leather jacket

Talisin · 18/10/2017 12:43

The Oxford Street JL and Peter Jones both have a Hush Concession.

TheFormidableMrsC · 18/10/2017 13:02

Martin I've got the love jumper in navy and it's absolutely fine. I put it through a cold hand wash in the machine and it's come out perfectly. Maybe you have a dud, email them, they are very helpful!

I missed out on the wide jersey top, am gutted. Hush have emailed today to say they won't be getting any more stocks of this top which is bloody odd since it's just come out. Checking everyday in case there are returns. Bugger.

ilovecherries · 18/10/2017 13:45

After the sad demise of my grey jersey top and its subsequent return, I bought this in Next yesterday. It's not quite the same - had to size up to get a bit of slouchiness, and the sleeves aren't as tight (possibly because of sizing up) but a), it's a much heavier jersey b) it has pockets c) it was 20 quid.

Grounddown Oh this is exciting! I am after the black in a medium. They say to check between 9 and 10 in the morning so I will do so. Thanks so much!

TheFormidableMrsC · 18/10/2017 14:19

Ilovecherries I tried that top in blue but found I I had to go up FOUR sizes for it to look anywhere near the sort of oversized look I wanted. I decided to leave it in the end as I just couldn't get it to look right. It is similar though and the pockets are great!

Pippin8 · 18/10/2017 14:46

That love jumper looks like the one I sent back. It had loads of pulls in the embroidery, totally not worth the money.

I think I'll email customer service with the photos of the dodgy love embroidered jumper, thanks for the advice. I'm not in the UK so it's an expensive pain in the ass to send stuff back tbh but I don't spend £85 lightly so yes, it should be perfect.

I'll be back to let you know how they treat Mrs. Tara dress thread starter Grin

Whitney168 · 19/10/2017 08:31

So, I decided too late I want the Sabrina cardigan, and obviously it's out of stock now. (Hush do seem to need to do some work on their stock control and predicting what will be popular ...)

I think what I really want is the charcoal in M. John Lewis have the charcoal in S and the paler grey in L. Both actually seem to fit absolutely fine, no issues at all that the @ is too small.

Anyone had a similar issue and what did you decide?

neveradullmoment99 · 19/10/2017 09:55

Hush have a small sale of old stock. I ordered a few things Blush Absolutely not keeping all of it.

neveradullmoment99 · 19/10/2017 09:56

Oh and i managed to grab a 12 in the gardinia dress. Probably one that was returned on here!!!! Its a beautiful print. Not sure about the neckline. It arrives tomorrow.

Ooh, I thoroughly recomend the Silvie dress in the sale. I have it in both colours from last year and I love them at this time of year - so soft and warm.
