Was just googling "petite maxi skirt" (seems to be a rarity) and Pilot came up as an option. Remember pilot?! Didn't know it was still going. Which then reminded me of similar store Bay Trading which I used to love as a teen. And etam!

Any others you lot remember?

Oh and if you know any good places to get a petite maxi skirt for a wedding do let me know, I'm really struggling here.

Rainybo · 21/07/2017 07:42

Does anyone remember Uth? It was Jigsaw's more weird/fashiony/upmarket label. Late 90s, early 2000s. Started as Jigsaw Menswear but they did womens too. Their stuff was a bit COS-ish but more expensive, but they were out on a limb and I don't think it did very well.

chipscheeseandcurrysauce · 21/07/2017 07:57

I wonder where Tammy will end up now?

LoniceraJaponica · 21/07/2017 08:01

That's good news SnowBalls

BestIsWest · 21/07/2017 08:02

I really miss Richards (or Richard Shops as it was in my day). Nearly all my clothes came from there in the 80s.

Does anyone remember a chain called Solo from the 80s? Beautiful clothes, always slightly unusually cut.

AgentProvocateur · 21/07/2017 08:04

Wryggs.

breadedbrielarson · 21/07/2017 08:04

Oh god yeah Jane Norman! Such tacky but expensive stuff,

Does Morgan still exist?! Kookai?!

fruityb · 21/07/2017 08:06

I remember Uth! And I loved Kookai as well.

woodhill · 21/07/2017 08:12

Didn't know Jane Norman dad gone.

I loved Principles, not the Debenhams version with horrible fabrics.

Bellaboo9 · 21/07/2017 08:12

Loved Kookai!

Also Jeffrey Rogers, they only had it the city centre though.

Manchester had a bankrupt too, went there for my first pair of jeans that I bought without my mums approval.

tshirtsuntan · 21/07/2017 08:13

Kookai, exam.

tshirtsuntan · 21/07/2017 08:13

PlausibleSuit · 21/07/2017 08:18

My now dearly departed gran used to joke that C&A stood for "Coats and 'Ats". Always made me giggle.

MrsTickles · 21/07/2017 08:20

I used to spend all my money in Republic and Jane Norman.

notaslimceagirl · 21/07/2017 08:21

Stolen from ivor

choppolata · 21/07/2017 08:29

Snob, which i think got bought out by another chain.

Floisme · 21/07/2017 08:32

Bus Stop. Best shop ever.

Macarena1990 · 21/07/2017 08:40

Dash. My younger sister and i always wore matching track suits from there!

Sweater shop and west one were always a favourite too..

LIZS · 21/07/2017 08:42

Dash is still going as a brand. Ravel shoes?

Squ1ggle · 21/07/2017 08:48

Dolcis

senua · 21/07/2017 08:48

I loved Principles, not the Debenhams version with horrible fabrics.

Same here. I still have some Principles pieces, even though the shop closed about 15 Shock years ago. Their trousers were a fantastic fit.
