What are you guys doing to me??? I am going to try and resist taking a look at QVC!

Well done on the progress ladies.

Welcome back @CantChoose !!!

Welcome @LastGirlOnTheLeft !! You are in good company!

You go girl @d270r0 !!!

So forgive me father for I have sinned.... had a bit of time free at Maastricht station yesterday and I managed to buy a shower gel, comb and some hair clips... at least all were cheap!

I really have to get a grip on my hoarding or move to a bigger flat I got a builder round this week to quote for a new bathroom and some other stuff... so embarassing for so much clutter to be on view.. anyway may do something about it later but first I am off for an outdoor swim!

Making some moves-

A travel size L'Occitane almond shower oil- it was amazing for shaving
A random deodorant.

I'm loving seeing these empties stack up

pasturesgreen · 09/07/2017 08:29

Not making huge progress, but lately I've been working from home a lot so makeup use has been kept to a minimum.

Have used up an ancient 8 Hour lip balm and a few random sample sachets, including a L'Occitane ultra matte fluid which I'm considering buying full size as it worked a treat in this hot weather.

Also working my way through a jar of Sir pink clay mask. Not particularly impressed with it, and certainly not for the price, but will keep going.

Have also bought a new lipstick but we won't mention that just now...

pasturesgreen · 09/07/2017 08:30

*Dior, even. Don't know where Sir came from, ffs!

CantChoose · 09/07/2017 09:27

Thanks @kwick - I think you should go for the bigger flat solution. DH and I are seriously considering it. We donated another two huge bags of clothes last weekend and have wardrobes full still. Crazy.

I've finished a packed of make up remover pads that santa put in my stocking this Christmas - not even a year old which is a novelty for me!

MyheartbelongstoG · 09/07/2017 14:08

Why don't you all set up a swap shop so stuff doesn't go to waste?

kwick · 09/07/2017 15:57

Ooooooo a swap shop!!!! Amazeballs idea myheart!!!

I have an empty from ny 12 to shelve!!!
-Johnsons aloe vera baby oil which I must gave had for at least 2 years if not longer! This is great for removing eye and lip make-up and also moisturising my fat belly but I am glad it is finished and I can try something else.

Hello again everyone, you're all making fantastic progress.

I've been AWOL for a bit but I feel i'm making small inroads, space momentarily opens up on my bathroom shelves before I refill them.

@kwick I know what you mean about builders etc, I'm getting a bed delivered soon and I am worried about what they will think with my boxes of DVDs, books and beauty products piled around - I hoard in all categories. I'm just praying they don't ask to use the bathroom!

I'm working with a brought forward list from unfinished June products and my 12toshelve list.

From the June list I've finished:
Max factor under eye concealer
Neom pillow mist 5ml

From my 12toshelve I've finished:
Darphin Intral toner
Balance Me Rose Otto lip balm
Neal's Yard Wild Rose Beauty Balm
the only thing I would buy again would be the Neom mist

Some in's to report though:
Victor and Rolf Flower Bomb perfume and body lotion, present from duty free from DP
LRP Mini serozinc spray
LRP full size water spray
LRP after sun
Urtekram no fragrance conditioner after I discovered the long anticipated Philip Kinsley one had silicone in it, will use PK up for shaving legs
Melano CC vitamin C serum, Korres Santorini vine and Basil Lemon body milks minis - these are all in the post.

Small sizes are my downfall as they don't feel like they count like full sizes Grin

bunnybleu · 10/07/2017 17:24

In....well, on the way.....I caved and ordered the Elemis TSV as it was such a good buy!! I really like the cleansing balm and marine Cream and it was worth it for those two things, so the extra body goodies are a nice extra.

Also in via DD having a huge sort out of the room of doom (her bedroom!) are three small Santuary shower gels, four Body Shop body butters, a body lotion and a full size BS shower gel. I have also ordered a mango body mist from a friend who does the At Home stuff.

So here is my Twelve to Shelve, in no particular order....

  1. Oil of Olay Total Effects day cream
  2. Nivea Q10 eye cream
  3. Aveeno body lotion spray
  4. Sure spray anti-perspiring
  5. Body Shop Rose body butter
  6. Body Shop morninga body butter
  7. Liz Earle no. 20 perfume
  8. Body Shop moringa shower gel
  9. Body Shop almond and honey body butter
10. Molton Brown Rhubarb and Rose shower gel 11. Elemis Papaya Enzyme Peel Mask 12. Dermalogica Overnight Clearing gel sachets X 3
kwick · 11/07/2017 05:51

Good inroads @Treeballarae
I actually made one of my bathroom shelves look a bit "better" but stuffing some of my stash in a cute Nuxe bag - so at least it is sort of hidden.... I have a HUGE skincare stash Blush

I have an empty - which now a Holy Grail product for me & I have one in my stash to replace:

  • Superdrug B hyaluronic acid facial spritz
It is a great facial spray - refreshing and not drying but with some recent sunburn found it was a lifesaver for moisturising those hard to reach places Grin

I have not one single empty to report. I am just amazed how long things last, I returned to NZ 8 weeks ago and only brought full items with me - they are just not going down! I do not have an immense stock of items here, although I must confess to huge quantities still in UK, all ready to bring back on my next visit home, or the one after or the one after that....

I am wondering how I will manage without the Christmas Box from M&S and Boots though! Am loving reading about all your empties though.

mowglik · 11/07/2017 11:51

Helll all, nice to see lots of progress! I have been plodding away, a lot of my 12to shelve were smaller sizes so making progress! Also dropped an eyeshadow palette last week Shock so ironically despite claiming to never get through make up now have two eyeshadows to add to my list (does dropping makeup count?)

Omorizcova moor cream cleanser trial size
Body shop drops of light serum sample
MAC eyeshadow humid
MAC eyeshadow sushi flower
Omorizcova thermal cleanser trial size
Amie mattifying cream trial size

As an aside I tried omorizcova to see what the fuss was about and hated both cleansers - the balm cleanser was like thick tar even after wiping off face - Bleeugh Envy

Swaps sound great though happily I've got less and less to swap

d270r0 · 11/07/2017 12:30

I have finished no3 of my 12 to shelve- a tiny L'occitane flora hand cream 10ml. Nice but wouldn't buy full price. To be replaced with another 10ml L'occitane hand cream from last years L'occitane advent calendar. Which was nice but not worth the price in my opinion as every item was just so tiny.

woodhill · 11/07/2017 12:42

I used up some wax strips today, a tiny Clarins cleanser and nearly finished a full sized face mask. Make up not budging as I cannot be bothered to used any as I am at home mainly.

Strawberryfield12 · 11/07/2017 19:30

This is my status update of the 12toshelve:

1.The White Company Fresh Fig shower gel
2.The White Company Fresh Fig body lotion
3.Clinique pep-start eye cream
4.Espa Optimal Skin serum
5.Body shop cocoa lip balm
6.Aurelia skin cleanser
7.Baby oil
8.Espa purifying shampoo
9.The White Company Day Eau de Toilette
10.Origins Mascara
11.Pixie Glowtonic
12.Madara hydra sos cream

Am at the end bit with the Clinique eye cream, like the cream, but the packaging doesn't make it easy when not much left in the tube, but still too much to cut it open.

kwick · 12/07/2017 05:38

How are you finding life downunder five?

mow thanks for trying out Ormozivova on our behalf - have always wondered about that brand.

Great progress ladies!!!

I have an empty!

  • Stella soft body milk 75ml: sort of smells like the perfume but not enough for me. Bought off ebay alongside a handy sized bottle of the perfume - which I love and I think they are discontinuing Angry this ALWAYS happens when I find a perfume I love - that or they change the formula AngryAngryAngry

Oh and also just finished a Emma Hardie protect & prime sachet - really have not been impressed at all with Emma Hardie stuff.

curragh · 12/07/2017 11:08
  1. Garnier Ultra Doux co-wash - meh
  2. Clarins body scrub - tester. Fine but didn't see any difference in my skin

7 of my 12 to shelve left Smile

I had a minor op last week and ended up with an infection of the drain they left in....feel like I've been hit by a bus. The antibiotics must be kicking in though as I moisturised head to toe this morn. I may even venture as far as applying make up tomorrow if all continues to improve Smile

woodhill · 12/07/2017 14:15

Finished a mini shower gel today plus a mum deodorant that was left by dd.

FrustratedFrugal · 12/07/2017 15:12

Travelling... have finished 3/5 from my summer list, the newly gone ones are Chanel Legende lipstick (finally!!!) and a travel-size Batiste dry shampoo.

I've shopped from my stash and my current favorite is the Artdeco Perfect Color Pink lipstick - a lovely cool summer shade.

FiveShelties · 13/07/2017 08:05

kwick love it here, but also miss UK. Weather in NZ is appalling at the moment and it was really bad planning to return just in time for winter!

Miss the oddest things, M & S, Boots, Superdrug, and really really miss the £10 Dine In deals from M & S! And cheap flights to Europe - NZ is so far from anywhere!

kwick · 13/07/2017 08:16

curragh get well soon & take it easy! Flowers

five lets hope the weather improves for you!

frustrated you are rocking another lipstick!

I shopped my stash to add in another eyeshadow shade and really liked the look I created today - did take some photos to share but they all looked awful so you will just have to take my word for it!

Also got advice on another cheap Paris Pharmacie - I know the one on Rue du Four - here is another one that sells beautiful French brands at a discount:

I've finished three of my twelve to shelve.....well, two and a third technically, as one is one of the three Dermalogica sachets. Also gone is the Molton Brown shower gel which I loved the fragrance of but was a gift, I'm not sure I'd spend that much on shower gel myself. I have a handful of Body Shop shower gels to work through next.

The third was Olay Total Effects fragrance free moisturiser which I have been using for a good year now, my skin loves it and it's been a repeat purchase which I rarely do. I have another one in my drawer, and although it's not a cruelty free brand I may stick with it because I've not found anything better ever.

Frugal I love your pink lippy!

kwick · 13/07/2017 17:33

My new hair cut - before & after.... clearly will never able to replicate at home
