kwick · 13/07/2017 19:36

Thanks - but this is just one day every couple of months when I have been to hairdresser - rest of time it is the "before" side!

Anyone like Soaper Duper? Tesco's have it on sale!!!

Kwick that looks absolutely fantastic! Compliments to your hairdresser.

We are driving around the Baltics. This might surprise you but Baltic women know a thing or two about beaty products and locsl malls are full of prettily packaged and bargainous local cosmetics that feature local plants and berries. So Ihave bought a few new things. Blush

I love Joik products from Estonia and my new love is their Green Apple Body Lotion - it's light, quick-absorbing and delectably scented. I also bought an Estonian supermarket shampoo that is surprisingly good and a Lithuanuan cranberry-scented (!) dry shampoo (no Batiste around here). In Latvia, I was given a sample of a Mádara serum when I bought an Artdeco blusher brush. The Artdeco blusher brush has a dry, crunchy raffia feel - it is excellent for highly pigmented blushes (Nars!) as you pick up just the right amount every time. A smaller brush is also a really good size for travel and perfect for my Nars blusher palette. I am in love with the Nars bronzer shade Hot Sand - just right for my pale skin!

I'm so glad I've found this thread.
I've been trying to use up things for a while and am slowly getting there.

Had to buy toothpaste for the first time in an age last week!

Not sure why I have 5 boxes of hair removal cream though.

onemorerose · 13/07/2017 21:06

I've seen this thread loads but this is the first time I've read it and I'm so glad I did. Although I do admit I like at least 2 shampoo & conditioner combos in the shower as I think it's good for my hair to vary what I'm using.

  1. No.7 face exfoliator
  2. Benefit erase paste
  3. Lancôme mascara sample that I refuse to finish
  4. Sanctuary moisturiser
  5. No. 7 day cream
  6. No. 7 eye cream
  7. Sanctuary body polish
  8. Redken conditioner (shampoo ran out ages ago)
10. Forever living toothpaste and a Colgate mouthwash 11. Keratin smooth sample 12. Nars bronzer that I refuse to use up

Im going easy on myself here as I've not looked and these are all nearly done or things that I've been trying to use up for ages but it will still feel great to get rid of them!

kwick · 14/07/2017 08:15

frustrated who knew? Shock glad so many purchases are bringing you joy!

maisy & one welcome - you have come to the right place!

Nearly out of eye cream.

I hate those sealed pump dispensers and I end up keeping them and eventually ask DH to cut tops off as there is often leftovers in the tubes.

Strawberryfield12 · 14/07/2017 16:06

frustrated I really love Madara products. I have a friend living in Riga. When I was visiting her, she booked me in their Skincafe for a procedure. It was quite something, half way through the therapist put on some mask which turned into a thick rubbery thing, leaving only open mouth and nostrils. Meanwhile she gave massage to my neck, shoulders, arms. It looked like all my wrinkles had gone afterwards. 1,5 hours pleasure for around 40 euros.... I've been a regular buying their products since. Few times a year they do a 24 hour sale when all their products go 40% off and give a free a full size product (eg., 50ml moisturiser) if the order is over 70 euros or similar. Works out very good stuff for the price of l'oreal and similar. The other interesting brand in Riga was Stenders. Apparently, the owners were inspired by Lush, started making the soap from their kitchen and now have a factory on the outskirts of the city.

Kwick very nice hair!

kwick · 14/07/2017 17:10

Went in to Boots to pick up a prescription and thought let me have a look to see how I can use my birthday extra points thing... FFS they did not even have Nivea in-shower moisturiser!!!! This branch seems to be going downhill!!! In end only bought Biore nose strips and a Crunchie bar....WHAT IS THE WORLD COMING TO???? 😩

The sad thing is I do not only hoard beauty products... need to go through my food cupboard - already found two things that are out of date! Such a waste - could have given them to the food bank if I had noticed earlier!!! Angry

Oops. I had forgotten about this.

I have used up some shower gels and the end is nigh for my current shampoo and conditioner. Ooh, a few bottles of perfume have been used up too!

Today I've bought (well, ordered) 3 of the new soap and glory sheet face masks, some soap and glory makeup, and a new femfresh product. It's an aftershave balm for the bikini area, and will apparently reduce hair growth and eradicate shaving rash. Only £2 so I thought why not (?!). But, I paid with my Boots Advantage Card points so all free GrinWine

youredeadtomesteven · 14/07/2017 19:11

Oh God. I've just counted all of my lipsticks. 16. Sixteen bloody lipsticks. I've got 5 No7 ones - they are bloody fab in my opinion! Then there's also 8 MAC ones, 2 Rimmel and 1 Chanel, which is 'Rouge Coco Shine in Bonheur' and has a very satisfying 'click' Blush

kwick · 15/07/2017 06:57

Great progress youre!!!
Yep that sounds about how many I have but I am too scarred to count 💄💄💄💄💄💄💄💄

OP posts:
pasturesgreen · 15/07/2017 08:29

youre 16 sounds about right, I have -ahem! - 19 not counting lipglosses, so don't feel bad Grin

Feeling rather pleased with myself this week. Have finally used up and binned (oh, the satisfaction!) a full size bottle of Estee Lauder Idealist that had been sitting at the back of my bathroom shelf for time immemorial. I don't remember when I bought it, but it must have been at least four years old, which really makes you think about what sort of preservatives and harmful chemicals they put into stuff, as it was still perfect after all this time.

Also finished a satisfying number of samples: a Dolce and Gabbana Dolce mini spritzer, 2x Biotherm anti-cellulite gel sachets and a travel size Dior Hydra Life cream.

anahata · 15/07/2017 09:12

Can I join in? I'm moving house I'm the next few weeks so am desperately trying to use things up. It's only as I've started sorting through things to pack that I've realised that I own an embarrassing amount of beauty products. I've finished one facial scrub this week, and am almost through a large bottle of shampoo. I've not done a final count of everything yet, but suspect I have enough moisturiser to keep a small village soft and silky.

kwick · 16/07/2017 07:29

Well done pastures!!!

Welcome ana!!! Keep up the great progress.

I have an empty!

  • Korres peeling mask Wild Rose: I bought this a while back as it was on sale and LOVE LOVE LOVE it!!! Gentle but effective exfoliant. Has the 6 month sign on it.... I have had it well over a year Grin will most likely replace once I get through my stash!
OP posts:
CantChoose · 16/07/2017 13:45

oh gosh, I wish I only had 16 lipsticks :/

Lovely hair kwick! I've had mine cut short after years of gentle pressure from my hairdresser. It does look better, it's quite curly and sits much more nicely now, but I'm very jealous of your long locks!
I used my Babylis big hair for the first time yesterday, it was pretty good, especially for a first attempt!

I've finished a small nuxe hand cream and I've started using the liquid gold from the m&s advent calendar. I'm convinced it's helped my pores on my nose but I've come out with a little crop of small spots. Can't decide if I should persist or bin it...

AnotherPinkiePieStory · 16/07/2017 13:58

I hear you anahata. Moisturiser seems to breed in my house!

woodhill · 16/07/2017 15:02

John Frieda full size conditioner used up.

kwick · 16/07/2017 17:53

Thank you cant Smile is the big hair thing the rotating blow dryer? My challenge is that I can rarely be arsed to dry my hair with a blow dryer.

Great job ladies!

I have another empty & it is from my twelve to shelve:

  • Superdrug cucumber peel off mask: so strong my eyes water but that us about it

I have sinned:
I got a Bio Oil in Primark (for half the price Boots is selling it for!!!!) and some fake beauty blenders.

OP posts:
bunnybleu · 16/07/2017 19:21

Another empty from my Twelve to Shelve this evening, the Elemis Papaya mask which came in a set but nice as it is I don't see that it does anything much. Resisting the urge to buy something to cheer myself up after being treated rather shabbily by a group who I've thought of as friends. Funny how playground bitchiness continues into adulthood isn't it? Confused

CantChoose · 16/07/2017 19:27

Yes that's the one, kwik. I rarely do either, it's just for special occasions! Though it was pretty quick as you rough dry your hair almost completely first, you don't use it from wet.
I just had a shower as we've been having a clear out (shifting a tiny proportion of the house hoard!) and I finished a mini face scrub, can't remember what it's called. DH likes this more than I do - he sometimes borrows it then admires himself for a while afterwards Grin

mintmagnummm · 16/07/2017 19:39

I finished a mascara Grin natural collection 1.99 love it! Already have another

woodhill · 16/07/2017 19:46

Sorry to hear that bunny
