Continuing the amazeballs work from the previous threads - come and join us and rejoice in the joy of using (up) beauty products Grin

Previous thread: www.mumsnet.com/Talk/style_and_beauty/2860739-Ashamed-of-my-beauty-product-hoard-part-5?

My name is kwick and it has been 7 days and 20 minutes since I last bought a beauty product…. but actually was trying to buy some stuff from The Ordinary yesterday and they were out of stock

I need to join this - I moved house on 18th Aug and still have not managed to unpack all my toiletries. There are way too many.
I threw away quite a bit yesterday in a fit, but really only things that were literally dregs, or dried up, or oils that had that chip-oil smell.

Trouble is, I hate finishing stuff. I always buy new before I finish so I don't run out, but then often get bored with the first product (though it was The Saviour when I bought it) and never finish it and never open the new one.

Having said that - Friday a deodorant and my No17 CC cream both ran out and I didn't buy new on my way into work. When I did some more tidying yesterday I found five deodorants and two No17 CC creams, plus two of other brands (one which was expensive but I don't like!).

I've finished a The Ordinary serum, but I really like it and really want to replace it....instead I am keeping the box to one side and using other stuff up for now, if I miss it too much I'll replace (keeping box so I know which it was, it's great their packaging is so minimal but I have feck all idea what I am using, I've had to label the tops of the boxes!).

I probably have about 6 different serums to use up. Not to mention body lotion people always buy me and I never use. Sigh.

I'll read the thread.

All went amazingly well. Zero pain meds. A few stitches but other than that I'm all good. Tired but good. Dh was amazing. So so supportive.

Baby seems to be fairly chilled out too whilst still being super wriggly.

Congrats Em, fantastic news 💐🥂

Fab, I will do some sorting at the weekend and cheat by finding half-used things to use up. I have a very mini Neals Yard toner I will finish tonight, but it's about the size of my little finger!

kwick · 26/09/2017 07:07

So cute Em!!! Thank you!

I have an empty - still at my mum's house, but this is one I left here with her to use when I stay over (most weekends):

  • M&S Camellia hand and body lotion: this was discontinued years ago, and actually I got this off ebay so who knows how old it is. Do any of you remember the Camelia range at Boots (from the 80's) - I 😍 that... may need to petition Boots to release again Grin

Have woken up to a spot explosion on my face... wonder if this is one outlet for lurgy or a reaction to a skincare products (two new ones introduced last week - Lush 9-5 cleanser and the Tesco aloe vera day cream) 🤔

Bathroom is nearly done - cleaning of rest of flat happening today - hopefully I will move home tomorrow 🤞🏼

kwick I love the new bathroom. Are those real floorboards/tiles? They're amazing!!

Strawberryfield12 · 26/09/2017 07:41

Congratulations emem, he's gorgeous!

kwick the bathroom looks great. Are you getting extra shelf space? ;)

BlooBagoo · 26/09/2017 11:56

Well I bit the bullet and had a clear out, however when I started sorting things out I found even more stuff hiding in a bag in my bedroom. So even though I cleared out a few things I think I have even more to get through now. Blush

BlooBagoo · 26/09/2017 11:57

Congrats Em!

applesandpears33 · 26/09/2017 17:24

Congratulations eme! He's gorgeous.

kwick · 26/09/2017 17:53

The floor are tiles - look like floorboards - got them in Topps Tiles.
I got the biggest cabinet I could find... my stash though normally lives under my bed 😬 I am on my way home now to see if I can possibly move back in tomorrow.
Thanks for the compliments. 😘

Them's the breaks bloo

What a cutie em!

Love your new bathroom kwick, hope you can move back in soon!

OutToGetYou · 26/09/2017 19:07

I got a new body scrub today, my Soap and Glory one had run out. I do have a Sanctuary sachet to use (but hate the smell of that stuff, it was in ,my Xmas stocking), but the sods put a sample of some derma protection cream in with the delivery so now I have to add that to my 'to use' pile!

My bathroom has the biggest ever drawer under the sink, I LOVE it, it was one of a few things that literally sold the house to me. Of course though, the more space you have.......

A bit like the one on this page, but just one deep drawer, I keep everything in baskets inside it:

suchatiredbunny · 26/09/2017 20:04

Stop it.....I have bathroom envy!!! We need to do ours as the shower cubicle needs replacing but it's such a big expensive job we keep putting it off! I love the idea of drawers under the sink like that.....

suchatiredbunny · 26/09/2017 20:07

Oh, forgot to say, I have two empties! One is a Santuary Lily and Rose bubble bath which was lovely (bought reduced but would happily buy again) and a pump bottle of Aveeno from my 13. I have a huge replacement for this already as DS2 gets it on prescription from the Dr so I use it too!

My arms have been very itchy for the last week or so but I can't pin point why. I thought it was the shower gel I binned but now I'm not sure.

DragonNoodleCake · 26/09/2017 22:55

Great bathroom Kwick got to say I love. Y ensuite with all its hidden cupboards
