Kitchen tongs!!! No idea why my phone wants to call them 'rings' Confused

woodhill · 23/09/2017 17:52

That skein eye cream was rubbish from M&S.

Dd pinched a couple of face masks and a nail polish so some more things gone plus I used up a full size shampoo

PerilouslyFannedCoaster · 23/09/2017 18:12

i've used up votary hair balm stuff. Smelled nice.

curragh · 23/09/2017 19:50

Good luck em, very pragmatic approach. All I'll say is that it's totally worth it in the end, newborn snuggles are the best 😌

No empties here but have cut open a full size Clarins body cream

applesandpears33 · 23/09/2017 19:55

Finally have an empty - protect and perfect serum. It is a staple, but I have finally ran out and don't have a spare. It is nice to know that I no longer hoard that serum (I just have enough soap, body lotion, shower gel, lipsticks, eye shadow and blusher to last for about 5 years).

BigStripeyBastard · 23/09/2017 21:02

em I have no experience with childbirth so can't help you there but I have had Chanel Rouge Noir before and I would generally advise against it. Looks fab but chips like a bitch. Lasted about a day before it started to come off. That was with base coat, top coat, the lot. Try the OPI equivalent instead.....it's called All Aboard The Sledge or something, if memory serves. Lasts much better and is a very similar colour.

BigStripeyBastard · 23/09/2017 21:06

apples I used to use Protect and Perfect serum years ago when it first came out. I remember I liked it. Do you know if there is hyaluronic acid in it?

kwick · 23/09/2017 21:35

em love your take on child birth! I know I will be "give me the drugs!!!!" Grin
I hear they kick you out 6 hours after Shock
I would recommend having shellac done on toes - I have this done once every couple of months.

big trouble with Protect & Perfect (well the last time I looked which was about 2 years ago) it contains cyclopentasiloxane- a endocrine disrupting silicone.

I have an empty (or I will have when I finish off the last little bit in a minute)!

  • Yves Rocher serum vegetal night cream: I do like this but looking forward to starting the M&S one, unfortunately that will not be until bathroom/flat sorted as it is somewhere in my "stuff" (see below)

Oh and slight "issuette" with bathroom... shower protudes too much to reinstall sheila made...

bigstripey thanks for the tip! I'm guessing Opinis cheaper too...

kwick I'll probably be "give me the drugs" too. I know about the side effects etc so as much as I know they help things I'm wary of them. I asked about the kicking out thing as a friend was kicked out after about 6 hours. Apparently if all goes well, and I'm happy to go home, am not suffering any side effects of drugs etc and baby has pooped and been fed and I have minimal um "damage" they'll let me go after 6 hours. If I want to. Obviously if baby arrives at say 10pm they won't let me go after 6 hours. But I could leave next day if I felt ok. If it's a c section they like you to stay for 3 days minimum. I've packed a bag for 3 days just in case.

kwick · 23/09/2017 21:59

Looks like you are all set em!!! So exciting!!!

I have an empty! It's the balmshelter tinted moisturiser, I don't think I've ever completely finished a tube of foundation or tinted moisturiser before so this is a big deal for me! I've even repurchased and have just opened it this morn Grin

pasturesgreen · 24/09/2017 09:12

Oh frabjous day! Have finally finished a pot of Dior pink clay mask. Will most likely repurchase but first I need to go through two I know... tubes of Una Brennan Super Facialist and a half empty tube of Aromatherapy Associates hydrating mask.

But for now I'm just doing a little happy dance in the bathroom to celebrate my empty!

suchatiredbunny · 24/09/2017 10:31

Well done mint and pastures !! I have an empty here too, a large Costco size Batiste dry shampoo. I have two in the stash ready to go, it's a second day staple for me as I'm prone to greasy hair.

woodhill · 24/09/2017 12:35

Salt scrub sachet done

woodhill · 24/09/2017 13:08

Any advice on a good day cream with SPF and anti ageing I'm 50

I liked the Superdrug one tbh but still enjoy the branded ones too
Thanks

kwick · 24/09/2017 15:17

Well done mint!! 🏅

And to you too pastures 🏆

Em giving birth was far easier and much more fun than I had ever thought. Both of my biths were moderate in their length, my body knew exactly what to do, I got an epidural that was just right. Hoping yours will be as smooth and that there will be a lovely Clarins giftbag somewhere not far away keeping you glowing and hydrated Wink

I've taken a crazy intensive 30-hour course over the weekend. Totally wiped out. Came here to report that my full-size Korres Santorini shower gel is gone.

Raise your hand if you love Korres🙋🏼

curragh · 24/09/2017 20:50

Empty no. 50 Boots clarifying Apple shampoo.

I'm no skincare expert but I thought that it was better to apply a separate SPF in order to get adequate protection. I use an avene spf 50, I'm super pale and due to medication need to be very careful in the sun

kwick · 25/09/2017 06:28

frustrated may I just half raise my hand? Currently not loving smell of Lavender Blossom shower gel (not strong enough), adore the Wild Rose exfoiliating mask thing.

I have used Body Shop spf 50 protector thing in the past and have one in my stash (not sure I will find it again under all this)...

suchatiredbunny · 25/09/2017 11:41

Em that's brilliant news!!!! Four and a half hours??? You lucky girl. Lots of love to you all, hope you recover quickly! Flowers

suchatiredbunny · 25/09/2017 11:42

That reminds me....my DD had a full head of old lady perm curls when she was born and when I took her out in the pram people would stop and say "is it natural?" no I tong it

curragh · 25/09/2017 11:51

Great news, congratulations em. 4.5 hours, wow, hope all went well

In much less exciting news I finished a full size Clarins body cream today. It was fine but prob not worth the price tag. (Empty #51). Have moved on to a Nuxe orange flower body lotion, love the subtle scent
