Empty no 40. Avene cold cream bar

Will compile my 13 for Halloween list later today

kwick · 02/09/2017 12:30

Wow! Everyone is doing so well!!!

I have an empty:

  • Ecran aftersun 400ml: great as an every day body lotion. Have found another one (which is smaller) that has already been started so will move on to that.

I bought a bottle of Poeme at nearly half price yesterday - pressie for my SIL (will wait for her bday). Also got a Personal Shopper with gift card for my friend for her bday on Monday. Bought nothing for myself!

Here is my 11 for Halloween (have finished 2 already) and have 1 left from 12 to shelve - Chanel lipstick - but I am below the metal bit and Frustrated said that counted.

I 💜this thread!!!

Kwick I have poeme it's one of my fave winter perfumes along with organza

usernameinfinito · 02/09/2017 12:51

kwick this thread has helped me not only to de clutter and use my beauty stash, but has also made me feel better about myself as I take care of me and feel good using up a product ☺️

d270r0 · 02/09/2017 13:44

I have an empty, OGX shampoo 385ml. I won't repurchase as am bored with it. Replacing with an Aussie shampoo. I'll get my 13 for Halloween list together today or tomorrow, although do still have 2 left from 12 to shelve.

Strawberryfield12 · 02/09/2017 15:14

Have thrown out a liter bottle of Macademia oil shampoo which I have been trying to use for the last five years, but it just wouldn't work for my hair. In the spirit of using things up I even tried to shave my legs with it (just like other use cheap conditioner), didn't work. So it had to go...

Have also used 300ml bottle of Soap and Glory cleanser, nice enough, but had two of these since it was on offer. Want to try other things now.

Finisher Earth friendly baby lotion full size, that Nr3 baby oils&lotions I bought 3 years ago for my daughter and have used up since joining the thread. Chuffed!

My 13 for Halloween is ready, consists of many products I am not particularly keen on or have had them for long time. Hoping that having them made public will make me focus on them. Also have 3 weeks of holidays coming up in this time, so the last item on the list is actually a lot of small bits.

  1. Browbar night time conditioner;
  2. Damask rose face mist;
  3. Madara peel mask travel size, it’s BB date is July 2017, so should use it really;
  4. Bioesence serum;
  5. ESPA lip balm;
  6. Stenders Sea buckthorn body butter;
  7. Amway Wistful fragrance;
  8. Brow pencil, don’t even now the brand, came in a beauty box
  9. Clinique C vitamin
  10. Trevor Sorbie hair foam
  11. Greatfull Skin face oil
  12. Charles Worthington leave in conditioner travel size
  13. Awful lot of travel/sample size lotions and potions I am taking with me on the two holidays planned during the next two months.
curragh · 02/09/2017 16:40

I couldn't agree more username, since joining the thread I have really enjoyed using my nice products and spending some time taking care of me.

My 13 for Halloween list

  1. L'Oréal nude magique BB cream (carryover from my midsummer and 12 to shelve lists -it appears to be bottomless!)
  2. Matrix biolage co-wash
  3. Aveeno shampoo
  4. Clarins body moisturiser-full size
  5. Clarins body lotion -travel size
  6. Espa conditioner - travel size
  7. Clarins shampoo- travel size
  8. Garnier hydrabomb moisturiser
9 Lacura facial oil 10. Clarins shower gel - travel size 11. &12. LPM shower gels 13. No 7 cleansing balm

Should be achievable- have a little bit of work travel ahead hence quite a few travel size items

IPokeBadgers · 02/09/2017 16:44

Another empty....got these in last year's Rituals advent calendar. Lovely fragrance but that was the problem....caused sensitivity when taking make up off, very stinging on the eyes.. Ended up using them as hand wipes. Glad I hadn't paid rituals prices for a full size packet.

Great progress everyone! I was doing 12 to shelve by end of August, but didn't manage 5 items off the list. I'm sure the Max Factor foundation refills itself! I hope my Halloween list will be the first I'll actually complete as we're coming up to a hard time of year for me spending-wise because my resolve goes as soon as the lovely Christmas gift sets come into the shops!

So my 14 for Halloween (because I like even numbers) are:

  1. Max Factor foundation - c/f
  2. Origins Drink Up mask- c/f
  3. Aromatherapy Associates De-stress body wash - c/f
  4. Faith in Nature Moisturiser - c/f
  5. Indeed Labs exfoliator - c/f
  6. Elemis PCMC Rich
  7. This Works - In Transit Camera Close Up
  8. L'Oreal Gentle Eye Make Up Remover
  9. Urban Reivers perfume
10 Aromatherapy Associates Relax Body Oil 11. Aroma Actives Triple Hydrating Gel Mask 12. Malin and Goetz Lip Moisturiser 13. Elemis Skin Food oil 14. Elemis Papaya Enzyme Peel

kwick and mintmagnum , thanks for the recs of the Superdrug Hyaluronic Acid Spritz and then Natural Collection Waterguard mascara, loving both and both really good value!

mintmagnummm · 02/09/2017 20:33

Oh that's good to hear tree Smile

kwick · 03/09/2017 09:19

Is anyone else waiting with baited breath for the Look Fantastic advent calendar to be available for sale? 😳

OP posts:
curragh · 03/09/2017 10:09

NO

suchatiredbunny · 03/09/2017 10:18

Had to buy razor blades yesterday....£7.15 for three!!!! Yikes. But no counting them in the No Spend as they're an essential (and I've been needing and forgetting to buy them for ages).

pasturesgreen · 03/09/2017 13:52

I'm afraid I am, kwick Blush

Currently aiming for no spend on beauty products for the month of September but I know it's a futile exercise as I'll be in Rome in two weeks time and I fully expect to loot the local Sephora...

suchatiredbunny · 03/09/2017 15:22

Pastures if you buy something on holiday it doesn't count! Grin

First of my 13 gone....neals yard rise toner, hated it, so did DD so we emptied it down the sink and I've kept the pretty blue bottle to reuse for travel not that I ever go anywhere I was surprised by this as the Rose face wash and moisturiser are lovely and my skin really likes them.

Strawberryfield12 · 03/09/2017 15:42

kwick I have been looking at previews of different advent calendars this year and I think I might go for Look Fantastic as well. I thought I would buy Liberties, but it looks like there are a lot of products repeating from last year, some of them I still have in my stash. Dermalogica exfoliater, I look at you!

I have never bought M&S one, so very tempted as well. Decisions, decisions... Grin

d270r0 · 03/09/2017 16:32

I am after the M&S one this year, I didn't get it last year and got the l'occitane one instead and regretted it. And for £35 looks good value! Am still using up the l'occitane stuff but am finding it all a bit samey and boring, oh another tiny hand cream etc.
Saying that I also love the look of the ASOS onethis year, has some nice things in but at £55 is it really £20 better...

kwick · 03/09/2017 17:04

Is the m&s one already on sale? I should research but the Look Fantastic one was so great last year!

OP posts:
d270r0 · 03/09/2017 17:56

d270r0 · 03/09/2017 20:10

Wow thanks Strawberry I hadn't seen that one! There are loads! Sad about Sanctuary not being made this year but the Feelunique and Laura Ashley ones might be nice and also on the cheaper side.

So as School starts tomorrow I have given up on 12 to shelve although I had 2 left- have put them down as the first 2 in my 13 to Halloween so shall continue to work through them.

13 to Halloween

  1. Champneys day cream spf15 40ml
  2. Sanctuary thermal detox mask 100ml
  3. L'oreal moisturiser sample
  4. Balance me pure skin face wash 40ml
  5. Pack of 25x Simple face wipes
  6. Palmers cocoa butter formula 250ml
  7. Vaseline body lotion (dregs)400ml
  8. 21st Century herbs skin balm (small)
  9. Orchard & Bloom body wash 100ml (Hotel freebie)
10. Avent leg&foot reviver 50ml 11. L'occitane shea hand cream 10ml 12. Aussie miracle moist shampoo 300ml 13. Chirp hair mask sachet
Treeballarae · 03/09/2017 22:05

Thanks for links d2 and Strawberry, I like the look of the ASOS, Feel Unique and M&S calendars! Totally illogical tho, because I'm still using up products from the 2015 M&S calendar!
