Hello, I am being enabled!! Can anyone tell me what the GH offer was? I really want to try the Paula's choice wondering if it was worthwhile :)

I have used up a Sanctuary micro burst facial wash 100ml. I did like this but wouldn't repurchase as it had microbeads in- originally came in a lovely big set of Sanctuary products I bought myself last year in a bargain!

My eyes have recently been opened to the amount of nasty chemicals that are in a large number of products out there so I have decided to start buying more natural products when I can, particularly for the dc.
I found an American website, www.ewg.org/skindeep (free) where you can search for a product and it gives it a number from 1 to 10, 1 being no nasy stuff in it, 10 being full of carcinogens etc.! Lots of British stuff isn't in it but you can 'make your own report' by copying and pasting the ingredients into a report and then it tells you the number. Has opened my eyes to quite a few products!
Am going to use up all my stash, (haha will take years) just try to be more careful when I buy new stuff.

Off topic a bit, yoga videos for Kwick.
This series has a lot of good videos, the first one is a 12-min fast-paced flow. I'm still a beginner so I generally want to spend more time on making sure that I do the poses correctly. I have enjoyed Adriene's Foundations of Yoga series, most videos are 10 minutes or less, you'll learn new poses and get to hone the alignment and also find modifications. Yoga Journal also has good 360 degree videos, very helpful for fine-tuning. On Yogaia, you can filter yoga videos by length and experience level and teacher. I often pick a 15-min video and then do another - psychologically easier than committing to 30-45 mins Wink And this super easy is my favorite way of unwinding when I've had a mega stressful day.

Currently wearing body shop Fuji green tea body butter. It smells...nice I think. Fairly fresh. But also a bit herby. Cant quite work out what it reminds me of. I think maybe it reminds me of old books. Maybe it'll be a grower.

woodhill · 27/08/2017 18:04

2 more - simple face wash belonged to a dc and got left here.

Dr Organics face mask all gone

kwick · 27/08/2017 18:33

So tonight I used 2 products from GH box: sanctuary bath salt and the garnier sheet mask. Liked the salts, left the skin very soft and smooth, however, had to spend some time cleaning the oily cover off the bath. The mask, I think, was ok, need some time to work out how the skin feels.

emem for me the BS fuji products smell of the fragrance called Sculpture. Was extremely popular in nineties where I was growing up. At a time I thought it was nice enough, but now it represents for me some sort of public madness. :D

bunnybleu · 28/08/2017 09:20

Hi everyone, I'm back from a long weekend on the Norfolk coast and Granny's dodgy wifi! Just caught up with the thread. No empties for me but I have got my skin back on track after the allergic reaction, I only took Avene with me and no foundation, just blusher, concealer and tinted lip balm! So, my personal challenge now I'm home is not to start chucking loads of products at my face.......Confused

The Moogoo goats milk soap is wonderful, I really like it (I know, but I do like to wash my face with soap in the morning). DDs skin is looking lovely after the weekend, she's a spotty 12 year old, but a couple of days in the sea and sun have done her the world of good......plus she's been pinching my soap!

Will post my 13 for Halloween later, I might tweak it again. Ooh, and we went past a massive Aldi when we were up there but with no data left on my phone (that was DS2 on our camping trip at the start of the holidays!) I had no way of finding out what the products that everyone raves about are! So, I bought a CC cream (lovely, and a good colour, not too dark) the caviar day cream (tried it, think it was a bit sting-y so might pass on to SIL) and the q10 day cream which I haven't tried yet.

My other personal challenge is not to buy ANY beauty/skin/cosmetic products in September. A no buy month. I've got plenty, so as well as using up, I'm not buying anything either. But I have ordered an Elemis Marine Cream with the spf to try as I love the normal stuff and I'd much rather use a moisturiser with good spf than two separate products

BigStripeyBastard · 28/08/2017 11:09

That's it.....my 12 to Shelve is done!
13 for Halloween is going to be teeny tiny sample sizes (mainly Clarins) as I have multiples of some so I will concoct a list and count each product as one, rather than each sample, iyswim.

Hopefully it should be reasonably easy and free me up some space in my bags of stuff!

Two more empties:
37. Nuxe reve de Miel hand cream sample. Very nice, yummy smell
38. La petit Marseillaise citron & verveine shower gel. Already regretting not bringing back more LPM from my hols

5 items left from my 12 to shelve, hangs head in shame Blush

d270r0 · 28/08/2017 13:13

Another empty- a full size Body shop Cocoa Butter body scrub. This was really lovely to use and moisturising. It was one of my 12 to shelve so I now have 3 left to get through in a week! I think I will probably finish 2 of them but not the third, so the last one will probably have to be put on my 13 for Halloween list to finish off.

ememem84 · 28/08/2017 16:39

Empty - coconut shower gel - boots.

So glad it's gone. Was getting bored of the smell.

kwick · 29/08/2017 07:19

A sad day has come: the last of my stashed M&S Sun Smart creme gel after sun is no more 😢
I love this stuff - for some reason it was not on sale last year but I did see it this year in shops. I am going against my usual MO and I am not going to restock!!!

d270r0 · 29/08/2017 09:11

Good for you Kwick! Stay strong!
Another empty- a pack of Simple face wipes. Don't really want to use face wipes but have another in the stash so just trying to use them up.

2 left from 12 to shelve!

woodhill · 29/08/2017 14:29

Fallen off wagon, Clinique counter. Not sure of eyeshadow either but was trying something new to go with my MOB wedding outfit. Scared it makes my eyes look old

kwick · 29/08/2017 18:58

Pictures please wood

A major empty - I finished my Chanel Orchidee lipstick. It's a discontinued shade, a lovely wearable mix of pink and red - more red than pink. I've had it for five years and I think this is the sixth Chanel lipstick I have finished (too bad Chanel do not do Back to MAC).

IPokeBadgers · 29/08/2017 19:51

Have an empty....one of the stockpiled LE Cleanse and Polish special editions....pink pepper and mint I think. Many more variations of this product in the stash 😀

CantChoose · 29/08/2017 20:28

Ooo my GH box is here! The nail varnish is a different shade to what I was expecting. It all looks exciting though.

woodhill · 29/08/2017 20:59

My eyes?

kwick · 30/08/2017 07:26

Wow frustrated!!! Impressive!!!

badgers do you find the different LE flavours work differently on the skin?

wood yes with make-up look on Grin

I have an empty:

  • Aussie 3 minute miracle beach mate: think I prefer the ordinary one but got this on a 3 for 2, 3rd Aussie product is in stash - and there it will stay until I have a new bathroom. In the meantime I am going to use one of my many leave-in conditioners

Could be lovely wood I used to wear purple a lot but never do now. You've inspired me to try!
Well done everyone. I love Fiji green tea em. So springlike for me. And LPM curragh. Occasionally get at TKMaxx.

I am joining you on no beauty spend September bunny. And raise you no clothes too. However planning a big splurge in Paris in October for anniversary trip so not really a huge saver!
Finished a TBS Mojito shower gel and nearly the matching lotion too: weirdly cooling so going off it too! My fave summer smell.
Still have 2 on 12 to shelve but 1 will be gone tonight. I also rejigged my bathroom shelving and still lots to try but going to get rid of AHA containing products as aggravate my rosacea. If anyone wants unopened Rodial mask or Alpha Gold please let me know!
Found 10 open lip balms and 2 8 hr cream. Really?!? Don't really use them either! I blame DD who loves to open them and then leave!

WellTidy · 30/08/2017 12:08

Wow ladies, you're still going strong! I was on this thread (I think it was number 2 or 3) around this time last year, and made a 13 by Halloween list. My stash has somehow (ahem!) multiplied again, so I need to start using things up again. I am going to do an audit of the bathroom cupboards tonight and make a list.

My plan is to do 13 by Halloween and then not buy anything at all for the rest of the year. I did something along these lines last year, and then had some beautiful products for Christmas, which I really, really appreciated after doing a no spend.

I am super impressed that you're all still going strong and remain committed!
