Shock actual bee venom? What on earth!! Why? I hope its some lab process and not actual bee venom. I mean theres hardly any bees as it is these days 😓

ememem84 · 22/08/2017 08:59

Updated list below.

About to use up a trial/travel size clarins eye make up remover. This should be gone tonight.

Started on a new body lotion - jo Malone grapefruit. I had an open palmers self tan one in the basket to be used but figure will use this starting in Dec/January. So I'm all tan before I head back to work in may! These take ages to get rid!

  • tigi s factor shampoo diamond shine -1l bottle -GONE
  • tigi s factor conditioner diamond shine -1l bottle -GONE
  • jo Malone grapefruit perfume - full size
  • hit pan on one more urban decay naked 2 hit pan over the weekend. Nowhere close to using up. But I can see the base of the pan!!!!

We had quite a few bees buzzing around our lavender bushes. Usually I cut the lavender for drying but left it for them.

CantChoose · 22/08/2017 10:40

comeagain it is actual bee venom :( if I'd realised I never would have bought it. The fact it was in TKMaxx hopefully means it's being discontinued - it's reduced on the nip & fab website too.
Apparently they have a glass screen with a tiny electric current so they fly into it, and it triggers a tiny release of venom. They don't loose their stinger and die and they claim it doesn't hurt them but it all seems a bit unnecessary to me...

SpongeBobJudgeyPants · 22/08/2017 17:15

Hi Everyone. Still at it. I didn't have much success with the Estee Lauder Repair stuff...very expensive, and my skin was a bit sensitive to it.

bunnybleu · 22/08/2017 17:24

I've finished the Body Shop body butter that was the last of my Twelve to Shelve! So, I have compiled my list for Thirteen By Halloween and they are now in a basket on my dressing table ready to attack.

I have given some bits to my SIL....a couple of perfumes, a couple of body sprays and lotions, and some travel size shower gels. I'm itchy again and I know some of these trigger it or make it worse so rather than binning them I've given them to her (she loves any products I've bought and not got on with, so they've gone to a loving home!)

Need to go back to as simple a regime as possible while my skin recovers (both face and body) so will Shop my stash later and see what I've got that's as boring plain as possible.

ememem84 · 22/08/2017 22:22

Clarins eye make up remover travel size - GONE! Yes!!

I have an Elizabeth Arden one to use up next. Never used it before. Was a freebie from dsis along with a mascara I think.

SpongeBobJudgeyPants · 23/08/2017 03:14

Great going! Bunny the stuff you give to SIL, is that over and above your 12? Emenem I seem to have quite a bit of eye make up remover, as I use micellar water, so don't need separate remover, so I haven't used what I've got.

kwick · 23/08/2017 07:50

Welcome llona!!

Amazeballs progress ladies!

SAVE THE BEES!!!! 🐝 🐝 🐝
Sign every petition you can and plant bee friendly plants!

Have 1 item left on my 12 to shelve list (lipstick which frustrated says I can bin but I will use a few more times). However need to identify some more items for my 13 for Halloween list as have removed a concealer which I think I may chuck as I think it causes sores around my eyes and a Body Shop drops of youth lotion I gave to my SIL on the weekend.

I have an empty:

  • Hema almond shower cream: very disappointing- hardly any Almond smell but was only €1.50

Oooh kwick what smell is it. If it's the original it doesn't smell great in my opinion.

Horse rider here. The original smells horsey. But it is pretty nice for human hair.

AnotherPinkiePieStory · 23/08/2017 20:09

I'd forgotten what was next! 13 for Halloween here we come!
Just finished a mascara. Wow! I never do that and have passed on a few rituals shower gels to DH as def manly smells! Still got a few uses for 12 to shelve but getting there!

ememem84 · 23/08/2017 21:56

Started my Elizabeth Arden eye make up remover. I don't like it. But will persevere as it's only a travel size. It's a bit oily for me.

ememem84 · 23/08/2017 21:59

Im going to finish my remaining 12 tonahekbe before I have the baby. She end of sept. So hopefully by them the cleansing milk and perfume will be gone.

Will find my 13 by Halloween though.

Primrose06 · 23/08/2017 22:10

At 56 I have so much . I used a great foundation then it was discontinued. Have tried lots since so many with a little used and no good.
Since changing to lenses st 50 I have a thing about eyeshadow . (Can't wear mascara sadly) I love eye crayons and long wear lipsticks and Maxfactor long wear gloss. I have more make up than DD
Smile
I wear a good moisture and foundation and spend less on the rest.
Can't live without the body shop bronzing oil

kwick · 24/08/2017 09:11

Hi Primrose I could not wear mascara for a while (after developing dry eye) and found that getting my lashes dyed really helped.

Thing is, how much is too much? I thought I had a problem until I called at a work colleague's house to pick EE up on a night out. She was still getting ready and I sat upstairs with her whilst she was finishing her makeup. I swear, I'd never seen so much stuff. All of it, top top brands and around 15 or so bottles of fragrance. She felt it wasn't excessive and just said she never gave it a thought. I remember she had lots of pallets before eye shadow palletes weren't a "thing". They were Dior and exquisite.

I think I have way too much. A full shoebox-sized box of lippie/eye pencils/blushes etc but it's all relative. DH just knows I consider them my "play things" and I've always been like that. I'm 55 and tend now to use one shade of blush which I buy over and over and have all but given up foundation and yet....I can't bring myself to bin stuff.

Why are we like this? Any thoughts?

DragonNoodleCake · 24/08/2017 11:44

Kwick is that horse shampoo???

DragonNoodleCake · 24/08/2017 11:47

Hi Primrose I started getting LVL lashes earlier this year (like a tint and perm for the lashes) and I love love love them. As a natural blonde it's so nice to wake up and actually have visible lashes without makeup

DragonNoodleCake · 24/08/2017 11:48

Suki I know I have drawers of stuff I use once in a blue moon. How many shades of (blue toned) deep pink matte lipstick 💄 does one dragon 🐉 need?

ememem84 · 24/08/2017 12:55

dragon mane and tail is great for human hair - not all the time but as an occasional deep clean it's awesome.

I think they do it in a number of "flavours" I'm sure in my local tack shop I've seen a fruity one and I'm pretty sure the other one we use at the stables is an oatmeal one.

It does leave hair super glossy.....

d270r0 · 24/08/2017 15:33

Finally I have an empty- a small one- anatomicals conditoning hair pack. Was ok but just like normal conditioner.

eme I have never shampooed a horse GrinI tried some of the sample just now - could not pick up on horsieness 🐴

dragon I think so Shock

I am not sure why we hoard like this suki I know I was not always this way but knowing I have LOTS of make-up brings me a sense of comfort... although I find decluttering really cathartic too! Confused anyway I am just trying to walk the tight rope of balance...

I found out a local to work Superdrug is stocking ELF and went there afterwork yesterday... only I went to the wrong one 🙄 so ELF rampage will need wait until next Thursday (Superdrug rewards) or better yet until I actually need something (like in 2027).

I have an empty:

  • Superdrug B Hydrated hyaluronic acid facial spritz: LOVE this stuff - very moisturising great on face and hard to reach bit on back. Am not going to replace until I have a new bathroom
