Congrats littlepooch on your impending arrival. Hope the move goes well

Inspired by the thread I have had a little pre-holiday clear out
26. Essie Chinchilly- my desert island nail polish (should there be a need for nail polish in such a situation). Threw out the end of a bottle as too gloopy and thick to apply
27. Garnier Ultimate Blends coconut conditioner. Was nice
28. / 29. Dumped 2 x Numark sunscreens that were at least 3 years old
30. Aldi sensitive kids spf 50 spray. This is a staple for the kids in the summer time

Feeling well again after a few health issues (will require more treatment and ops later in the year but trying not to think about it too much) and looking forward to 2 weeks in France. I resolve to
A. Use up one sunscreen at a time to avoid 5 partial bottles returning home with us
B. To only buy essentials such as shower gel etc when away. Give me strength

I still haven't used up any more of my 12 to shelve- only 3 down, the rest are taking ages!
Went to a lovely hotel for the niht and they had loads of lovely elemis toiletries which I have brought home with me- so adding more to my stash!

IPokeBadgers · 20/07/2017 19:15

Hello everyone! Not be around for a few weeks, had a much needed fortnight's holiday Germany and a complete digital detox....did me the world of good. And today, I feel like sounding the trumpets and rejoicing....my bottle of Scottish Fine Soaps Winter Pine is finally done! Had opened and used a small Molton Brown hand-wash in the run up to Xmas then switched to this one in about February!

It was with much joy I cracked out the MB Gingerlily hand-wash and lotion this afternoon 😃

usernameinfinito · 21/07/2017 03:10

Thanks Frugal and Kwick I have so much stuff to get through. Not helped by the usual toiletries gift sets!
Need to work harder and it feels amazing, I am treating myself to wearing all my lovely products Smile

kwick · 21/07/2017 08:06

curragh sorry to hear about your health issues Flowers seems like you are powering through your hoard.

Well done badgers! I love gingerlily...

Not entirely in the spirit of the thread, but can anyone recommend an eyeliner please? Needs to be ok for sensitive eyes. Still feeling low and thinking I'm going to take the summer to 'get back to me' if that makes sense, and one thing I'm going to do is make more effort with my make up beyond my usual 'even out the skin, try and hide the dark circles, blusher to look alive' effort. I always wear lipstick, but I tend not to bother with my eyes. Any suggestions gratefully received!
Last Dermalogica sachet used, eye cream and perfume on their last legs I think. Am also targeting the gazillion lotions and potions in the shower.....there's five in our house and we all use/like different things!

CantChoose · 21/07/2017 19:59

I'm not good at eyeliner so I can't help much there bunny. I've been using a MAC angled eyeliner brush with a black eyeshadow, it's working well and fuck ups can just be blended away. But if you're more skilled than me there's probably a better option!
I've finished the lemon and tea tree shower gel together witH DH. Opened an MB pink peppercorn one, its lovely- makes the whole bathroom smell gorgeous.

FrustratedFrugal · 21/07/2017 20:38

I also use dark eye shadow with a tiny angled brush to line my eyes - both wet and dry applications work but dry is easier. Some colors, navy and a deep burgundy, are just amazing worn this way, but I also use black and brown and dark green eye shadow. I have really deep-set eyes so cannot do winged eyeliner and eye pencils tend to smear. I have a couple of proper eyeliners too but they are not getting much wear.

FrustratedFrugal · 21/07/2017 21:06

PinkiePie some homegrown brands worth trying: Tromborg (Denmark), Estelle & Thild (Sweden) and Lumene (Finland). I also love the beauty department in &Other Stories (H&M spinoff).

Bunny the only liner I can use on my sensitive eyes is Clinique quickliner. I love the smoky brown one and also have the blue/grey

DragonNoodleCake · 22/07/2017 13:13

Kiko eyeliners are awesome. Pencil is got for the intense ones but my daughter swears by their liquid felt pens for full on flicks!

CantChoose · 22/07/2017 13:32

Finished a Percy and Reid conditioner mask mousse thing. Didn't like it on my hair but it made a passable shaving foam!!

woodhill · 22/07/2017 13:35

Used up a body scrub today.

ABeaverAteMyThumb · 22/07/2017 14:35

Used up a body shop body oil. Yay!

d270r0 · 22/07/2017 17:55

I have finally used up 2 more of my 12 by school start.
A bomb cosmetics bath bomb- last of a set from Christmas 2015.
Also finally finished my Elvive shampoo. Glad to get that out the way and will never buy again, can move onto some nice Aussie shampoo.
7 left to go!

kwick · 23/07/2017 09:50

Great progress!!!

I am chucking a Carmex Moisture Plus lip balm as it smells "funky" (it is quite old Blush)

I have an empty!
-Carrefour Q10 serum: what a find!!! Very cheap and lovely on and no nasty silicones. Look out if you are in France or Spain!!!!

bunny Flowers horrible when rough stuff happens but be kind to yourself and knock em dead with a new look!
Well done everyone. Clear shelves all round! Shall we run a badge/ reward system (like weight watchers/ blood donation/ AA!?!)?

d270 totally obligatory!

kwick that mascara looks good. Why do you recommend?
Eyeliner recommendations are great. I'm currently trying Kiko and will report back. I have a great Charlotte tilbury one that was a xmas release so sparkly but lovely navy with copper sparkle and I will rebuy when finished. I have high demands as struggling with my watery eyes. Just heard I probably need an operation to clear tear ducts but await ENT opinion. Sounds lovely but if it helps I'm all for it!

Thanks for scandi recommendations frugal and fab nails.

AnotherPinkiePieStory · 23/07/2017 10:33

Kiko manicure. Really pretty but only lasted 36 hours before chipping. However I'm tough on my nails!

@DragonNoodleCake are you ok? Not heard from you in a while.

I am going to chuck this lip pallet- not the greatest consistency, two of the colours do not suit and now the case has broken.

Have started to use Molton Brown rhubarb and rose shower gel. There is that fresh smell which is supposed to be the rhubarb but I can't help thinking the smell is very close to chlorine. Luckily the bottle is only 100ml so I will finish it.
