I've got my third finish from my 12 to shelve..... full size clarins exfoliating toner. Have now started a new one that was already in the stash.

bunnybleu · 16/07/2017 23:01

Thanks woodhill I'm licking my wounds for a while and wondering how to manage from here as my kids are friends with their kids so I can't really just walk away completely which is probably what I should do and I don't want to look petty when actually they're in the wrong not me

Another Dermalogica sample used up tonight, so that's 2/3, one more to go and that's another one of the 12 gone.

mint which mascara is it please? I usually go for a Clinique one but I'd like to find a cheaper one as I don't wear it all year round due to itchy hayfever eyes!

kwick · 17/07/2017 06:37

Bunny so sorry that you have been treated poorly. "Friends" suck at times. Hope the Elemis cheered you up - if not here is some cake Cake

I have a slight obsession with when Loreal are going to release Lash Paradise mascara (better that Tarte Better than Sex one apparently) in the UK!

I have another empty!

  • Body Shop Vitamin C glow protect lotion spf 30: ok, tingled a bit with use

Bunny it's the naturall collection from boots, the one I buy is the water guard one but have had all of the varieties and really like them all! I get the waterguard one because I suffer from very watery eyes.

Strawberryfield12 · 17/07/2017 09:55

Have finally finished the White Company Day fragrance. It's on my 12toshelve list, so double happy. Got it for 2014 Christmas, 100ml bottle. I didn't hate it and I didn't like it in particular either, just left me completely indifferent, like a water off the duck's back.

Now, I have 2 bottles of Issey Miyake perfume which has something that makes me dislike it. Will give away the un-opened bottle to my sister who likes similar perfumes. The opened one? No idea... It will probably take up a space in my home for some time and then I will work out how to get rid of it without throwing it out.

Bunny Sad - sending some warm summer air and lovely surprises your way ✨✨✨

Back from the hols, sorting laundry (rainy day here), next trip starting on Wed. I'm done with 5/5 By School Start and still have a month left so will attempt another 5!

These ones are my empties:
[x] Palmolive Amazonia shower gel [x] Listerine Green tea mini mouthwash

The shower gel was one of those bottles from the back of the cupboard that have been there forever - or at least from 2010 Blush The mouthwash is a lovely new flavor (nothing like green tea, rather it tastes exactly like Italian chinotto) originally found in Asian pharmacies, but now available in Europe as well.

Strawberryfield your treasures from Riga sound lovely and that spa sounds blissful! We loved Riga and the rest of the Baltics (Lithuania in particular stole our heart). Mádara has a new youth-oriented line, Mossa (everything has a berry theme) and it looked lush. I wanted to buy a ton of cosmetics but limited myself to a bottle of temptingly packaged cornflower micellar water from Estonia - a pleasant supermarket line called Puhas Loodus.

FrustratedFrugal · 17/07/2017 10:12

And here's a postcard from the Baltics - the open road ahead, my Estonian cornflower micellar water, and a lineup of Mossa products.

Oh wow Frugal, had no idea about Mossa! Those products look really cool. I have been playing with the idea to go back to Riga in the autumn, but now I really want to get the flights booked.

woodhill · 17/07/2017 16:44

Clarins body lotion used up completely and binned, nearly through a body scrub full size.

Tablefor4 · 17/07/2017 21:14

Right. Got through an The Ordinary Buffet serum. Makes me feel good, even if I can't see any real change.

Also got through 3 roll on sun creams (on holiday). They look really big, but are only 50 miles each. But, kids find them really easily to apply. Sadly no chance to visit local pharmacies here for browse as too remote.

I'm totally jealous of Frugal in the Baltics and her haul. I keep teasing that I'd love to do a Swedish road trip to match one I went on as a child (and from watching Wallander) but may need detour to Baltics.

FrustratedFrugal · 18/07/2017 15:25

No empties to report, but sorted out my messy makeup case. I have a ton of half-empty miniatures so need to focus on using them up to declutter my travel stash.

kwick · 18/07/2017 18:21

Am very jealous frustrated Envy

Am just popping to Khiels to get birthday pressie for cousin - pleass give me strength!!!

Good luck kwick! I'm off to Norway next week so fingers crossed I don't find a whole new world of loveliness like the baltics!
I'm trying hard to use up and some stuff is shifting but uh oh I had a small visit to Kiko!
I blame frugal for introducing me to it. Is that fair?!?
I'm changing job locations in a few weeks and it was my last time driving past so had to call in. No excuse for primark too!
TBH primark perfume smells like it only cost £2!

AnotherPinkiePieStory · 18/07/2017 19:53

The loveliness!

Ashamed of my beauty product hoard – part 6
FrustratedFrugal · 18/07/2017 21:05

PinkiePie Blush Kiko Wink Have fun in Norway! Pack something warm and weatherproof, the Scandi summer has been exceptionally cool so far and my regular daily summer outing gear is layers and layers - a tee + a sweatshirt + a cagoule We are heading up North tomorrow to MIL's, so I am packing even more layers...

I should start a TOTAL S&B shopping ban. I was hit by a rainstorm today and that meant I had to spend a few moments in Zara and Esprit - just enough time to find three really good sales items. Given how tatty Zara is these days it's a miracle... But should rein in the spending and do some decluttering.

bunnybleu · 18/07/2017 21:51

Two more empties from my 12.....a sure spray deo and a small Body Shop shower gel, also a bottle of hibiscrub and the mini face scrub from the Dermalogica set I bought DS but kept for me to use. Quite gritty but smelt lovely!
Will put a full size BS shower gel in the shower tomorrow, I think I have three to choose from but will probably go for the Rose one as I have a mini body butter on the go as one of my 12 to shelve.
Thanks for the good wishes. My DD is 12 and just entering the murky world of girl friendship groups and here I am in my forties telling her she might as well get used to some 'friends' being pretty crap ones!

usernameinfinito · 19/07/2017 01:54

FrustratedFrugal · 19/07/2017 08:59

Fantastic progress Username and Bunnybleu.

Travel stash clearout provided some easy empties, I finished the following three mini products during my morning shower today:

[x] Aveda Rosemary & Mint mini conditioner
[x] Lidl travel size shampoo
[x] DM Coconut & Vanilla shower gel

8/12 done from my Back to School list!

FrustratedFrugal · 19/07/2017 09:06

Oh and PinkiePie your Kiko pic makes me drool - absolutely loving those delectable icy pastel nail polish shades. I am pretty sure we have some of them too but I forgot to pack them - now stuck on a train heading north, and I just noticed that my nails are chipped

kwick · 19/07/2017 17:57

Hello! I have been a bit quiet as we are moving house next week and baby due relatively soon so have been rather stressed. I have been making good progress on my 12 to shelve though - I have 4 left to get through and I am determined to do it. Moving house also means I have binned anything that I really hate, is ancient and likely gone off or is leaking etc. So while I still have a lot it is a lot more manageable and I can see what I have.

I definitely use beauty as a pick me up - the number of times I've been feeling stressed in the past week and have toyed with buying myself a treat is unreal!

kwick · 20/07/2017 07:53

But better that than food little right?
When are you due - so exciting!

OP posts:
AnotherPinkiePieStory · 20/07/2017 11:02

Thanks frugal. Any scandi product recommendations too? Wink

Nice work user and little. I'm trying to be stricter with binning things as life is too short to keep going with rubbish things sometimes isn't it?
Also feeling a lot of love for Estée Lauder primer. Really improved my foundation staying power. Just wish I'd written down what sample it was! Actually got home after 12 hours and make up looked good. It never happens!

anahata · 20/07/2017 11:38

One shampoo finished, and down to the very last bits of a Lush shampoo bar and half an inch left in a bottle of conditioner.

My bathroom WILL be emptier for packing up.
