Join us to talk all things fashion and beauty. The clocks go forward next Sunday (who's bright idea was it to organise that on Mother's Day?!). Longer days and hopefully some sunshine - we're dying to get our ankles out.
All welcome :)

queencerulean · 31/05/2017 10:43

lib they're the best I can come up with I'm afraid. I've looked in the usual places but nothing's grabbed me for you except the ones above.

Longislandicetee · 31/05/2017 11:03

Morning everyone! Welcome back to Topaz and welcome to MrsM and Flinders. Last couple of weeks have been really stressful at work, so glad that's all over. We went away for a few days over the BH weekend which has involved some very excited children and long days of being on my feet in 33 degrees weather - i am totally shattered so a day of mooching about at home for us.

A couple of recent purchases: Alexander McQueen jacquard silk blend dress which i have liked all season but didn't get because i got 2 other McQueen dresses this season and Lib did point out that it might be too similar. Hope it suits me! Also got these Gianvito Rossi suede heeled sandals although i am a bit worried that they might look chunky on my size 3 feet.

And one that didn't make it into the basket is this The Kooples knit lace dress which i have been admiring for ages. Most of the time i try not to look like i am still in my teens (yes i know it's a first world problem but it's actually a real problem given my job) and Shop pointed out that I would look about 5! Funnily enough instant lust cure! Grin I have a couple of other things that am dithering over so will link when i have mad up my mind.

Think the sun has just peeked through now in my corner of EnglandSmile

Longislandicetee · 31/05/2017 11:07

Oh Lib, i have just remembered have you looked up pearls yet? Do you know what kind you want? Have lots of pearls from fake kind (£20) to the freshwater cultured (£200) plucked off the South Seas/Tahiti in front of me kind (£2000).

OneNightTimeMenaceStrikesBack · 31/05/2017 12:18

hello all!

feeling more settled now in the new place, finally pretty much unpacked and sorted now which is good. Actually have a place to put all my make up and accessories so i'm wearing them more now as i have proper access to them. Does go some way to making me feel better about myself as well so bonus right there

no fashion news to report, been too busy with the move to do any shopping or even any browsing! the horror Grin

shopafrolic · 31/05/2017 14:43

Can someone else set up the next thread? I can't really be arsed to do it again......Grin

So lazy shop Shock

I'm at work and can't do links on phone etc...if it's not set up by the time I get home I'll do it then.

I've just had a fab lunchtime shopping session on Marylebone High Street, make up, bag and bracelet purchased. Have a happy glow shallow

BerniceBobsHerHair · 31/05/2017 17:24

Oooh I feel nervous of setting up a new thread, I nominate Dry as her OPs are always very funny. Lovely whistles dress btw.

Welcome to MrsM and Flinders. That is a really nice Cos dress, Flinders can see you would get a lot of wear out of it.

MrsM I don't feel I can comment on the IM boots and their longevity but I do have the Ash dupes you mention and I find the shape works really well for me with skirts and dresses, so you would probably be able to wear them with more than just skinnies.

Nice shopping Blingy, I like the McQ dress, I think you've had your eye on it a while?

Glad you've had an easy move and feel settled One.

Welcome back Topaz, nice to 'see' you again.

Lib a couple of low ££ options from Next waits to be kicked off thread
animal print
available in lots of colours
bright / zebra

Good call to wear the Cos dress I think, looks smart enough and summery too.

Hello to all, sorry am cr*p at catching up.

shopafrolic · 31/05/2017 17:32

Stripe lovers look away...... I just ordered
this top and this dress which I already have in cream and red (Blingy LOVES it!) Wink
And I bought this hat today too. I think that's me sorted for summer now other than one more beach cover up and possibly a cheap summer dress or two from GAP for our Mexico holiday - but that will have to wait until July.
MrsM I keep meaning to say that I have the Ash dupes and wear them a fair amount still but only with skinnies. I wear my IM Crisi's all the time in winter. Love them. I think they are worth trying......
Sorry again for my bluntness about the dress Blingy Blush

Thanks Bernice. I really like the zebra/yellow one.

However, I have bought a bag, over budget and not in any of the colours helpfully suggested Blush. It's this one from LK Bennett. I think I'll use it more casually as well so a better buy for me than something that's evening only.

libertydoddle · 31/05/2017 18:44

I spent a lovely 30 mins in Space NK as well - really helpful SA who did an eye make up look for me - I never know what to do with eye makeup for a night out. She was great, checked what I had already at home so I only had to buy an eye pencil to be able to recreate it. I also bought bronzer and a By Terry lippy in the Hot Spot shade.

Longislandicetee · 31/05/2017 19:40

Love love the first bag in particular Bernice though I am fairly sure the Next sale is just around the corner so Lib, I wouldn't be buying it now. Yes have loved that dress for a couple of months but I had already spent about £2.5k on McQueen dresses so was trying to be restrained!Grin

I can confirm that I love the stripey dress on Shop, she looks very very hot in it.Wink. The red is perfection so you are going to have to put on some seriously red lippy to get me going make it popWink. Your 5 year old comment made me laugh, so spot on. I am still lusting after the red but QueenC asked me what jacket/cardigan I would wear it with and that's stumped me!

DryWhiteagainW · 31/05/2017 19:44
