Join us to talk all things fashion and beauty. The clocks go forward next Sunday (who's bright idea was it to organise that on Mother's Day?!). Longer days and hopefully some sunshine - we're dying to get our ankles out.
All welcome :)

Awful about Manchester, I can't stop welling up thinking of those poor families.

Great buys Mara, wish I could wear shirt-dresses but ties round the middle just make me look very dumpy.

Dream I looked at The Ordinary website & just went for their anti-ageing recommendations. My skin feels a bit tighter but was using nothing other than cleanser & moisturiser before, so not muchh to compare it to.

I have the lips in small Shop which I'd say is a 10. They're quite a relaxed fit but lovely soft cotton.

Finally made it to the shops and nearly gave up in despair in Zara - it looked like a clown had lost his wardrobe in there, but pulled it back in Warehouse with a denim jumpsuit and a colourful dress which I'll wear over a tee or vest.

Still bemoaning the lack of clothes you can actually wear a normal bra under.

libertydoddle · 23/05/2017 15:10

Yes in shock here too dream. Words fail me.

DH has apparently ordered me 6 pairs of sunglasses from TK Maxx. He'll says I'll need them in NZ! Should be interesting to see what turns up Grin.

libertydoddle · 23/05/2017 15:11

Nice Warehouse buys Stokey. Love the pattern on the dress.

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 23/05/2017 15:50

Hi all. So sad to hear the news earlier, was in bed last night before it happened. Horrible :(

Stokey I meant to say I tried that LRP cleanser... did not get on with it at all! I found it just slid around on top of my SPF and had no chance of removing it, leaving my face feeling like it had a waxy coating. Hope you fare better! I like the Warehouse dress, I think they've had a good season compared to other high street stores. Loving all the current threads bemoaning the crap that is out there.

Your OOTD sounds very chic everyone. I'm in bare legs today with culottes, I struggle in the office when it's very hot.

mara hello! Your buys look perfect for you, great work items.

I have bought some chinos (why don't I already own some?!) and a Breton sweater from Armor Lux. I'm going to look like I ought to be going on a boating holiday!

queencerulean · 23/05/2017 17:38

I was in floods earlier listening to the news. Utter bastards.

I've had 2 compliments today-one that my lipstick was a lovely colour and really suited me (Charlotte tilbury lost cherry) and two, that I looked fab in my trousers. Very happy!

Dreamqueen · 23/05/2017 17:43

Stokey thanks for the Ordinary tips. I can see that jumpsuit really looking great on you. I want to order one of the Kindred sweatshirts, can't decide between a 12 or 14. I agree Zara stock was horrendous.

Lib I can totally understand why your DH ordered you 6 pairsrs of sunglasses from TK Maxx. I also get carried away but then need to put prescription lens in them. TK Maxx means I can afford half decent frames.

Blair I'm off to google Armor Lux. Sounds like a very useful outfit.

Dreamqueen · 23/05/2017 17:49

OMG Blair you've introduced me to a whole new world of stripes. Did you order from the French Armor Lux site?

shopafrolic · 23/05/2017 17:57

Dream someone said on another thread that if you email The Ordinary with your skin concerns, they will send you back a personalised prescription.

Devastated for those affected in Manchester - my Uni town and I still have many friends there. Am focusing on the good things people are doing but have been in floods for a lot of the day. Not sure how we explain this to our children as they grow up.

No fashion news today as I have been cleaning and helping my parents but on the subject of skincare this has transformed my skin.

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 23/05/2017 18:35

Lol Dream! No I got it from Zalando. Not sure where else stocks it but have a look there.

shopafrolic · 23/05/2017 18:41

Oh and Mara I meant to say, lovely to see you back. Fab links. Hope the job is going well. Look forward to hearing more.

Dreamqueen · 23/05/2017 18:54

Blair is Armor Lux TTS or should I order a size up/down?

Thanks Shop going to look at THe Ordinary site more closely.

QueenC love that CT lipstick.

maradesbois · 23/05/2017 18:56

I only saw the news about Manchester this morning too, crashed before 10pm last night. So devastatingly sad.

Everyone I don't actually have an interview lined up Blush, just the outfitt ready for when it happens (true Voguette)!

Blair I am v partial to an armor-lux Breton. Can so see their stripes against Dream's bronzed skin too.

QueenC lovely compliments, always a nice confidence boost.

Lib need to organise evening drinks, will message you.

Stokey love the jumpsuit, can really picture you in it.

Loving the summery weather, first day out without a coat this year. Ootd is white red Valentino white ruffle shirt with cropped flared jeans and the Chloé block heels. Felt nicely weather appropriate. Love that I can wear jeans to work, in my head I'm Sarah Harris!

maradesbois · 23/05/2017 18:57

Dream I think it fits a little bit large to size, have only ever bought tops but sized down.

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 23/05/2017 19:01

Dream I only ordered it yesterday and don't own anything else from them, but ordered my usual size for a sweater.

justasecond · 23/05/2017 21:34

Hi all, have too been feeling so sad about Manchester, those poor children. Hope the bastard is rotting in hell.

Welcome back Mara love all your links and sounds like the chloe block heels are getting a lot of wear. I have a similar blue cotton tunic shirt from sandro that I wore today with black straight ankle crop jeans and my stories pink metallic loafers.

still in bloody glasses, I think I have an infection now too.

stokey Is this chart on Victoria health any use?
www.victoriahealth.com/editorial/the-ordinary-regimen-guide I use the niacinamide and sub q from the abnormal range. Have bought the retinoid 2% but haven't started using it yet. Thanks for the rec shop I have ordered the double cleanse from m&s
blair that's useful to know about the LRP cleanser as it was on my list to try.

Love those shoes aquazzura shoes marsha so beautiful.

justasecond · 23/05/2017 21:50

just went back to look at links,
shop that serum looks good and a good price, will add it to my list of ones to try
lib that was nice of your dh, hope they work out for you. On the subject of sunglasses I like the look of these www.misterspex.co.uk/sunglasses/ray-ban-clubround-rb-4246-901_f6661303.html the clubmaster didn't suit me so I'm hoping these might be better for my face.
stokey those warehouse buys look great and I totally get what you mean about Zara atm!
one ooh show us the bag! and good luck with the move

Dreamqueen · 24/05/2017 06:55

Mara thanks for the heads up on Armor Lux sizing. Can't choose which one to order, will wait for Blairs feedback. I did order this Petit Bateau top. I'm just so weak when it comes to stripes. I've been selling some of the high heels that I'll never wear again & am planning what to buy with the frowing paypal money. Thinking of maybe a lux biker jacket, inspired by Shops lovely purchase.

Justa hope your eye clears up soon.

shopafrolic · 24/05/2017 08:18

libertydoddle · 24/05/2017 09:38

Day of meetings here but hopefully some walks in the sunshine between them. Wearing the Uniqlo navy culottes I lived in last summer, Uniqlo kakhi and cream stripe T-shirt, Mango cream cropped jacket and tan brogues. Look ruined by black and blue very practical backpack Grin

Justa those ray bans look great.

One forgot to come back on your brand query - Paul and Joe Sister is very chic IMO and looks good quality.

Mara great shopping as always. Love the APC stuff.

Dreamqueen · 24/05/2017 09:42

Thanks for code Shop. I've ordered the rosehip oil plus got cash back from Quidco as well.

Nice outfit Lib.
As Lib said Justa can see you in those sunglasses.

kittyhello · 24/05/2017 12:53

Lovely to see you back Mara great APC buys

Went to Bluewater on Sunday and had Sali Hughes words in my head, so much tat to wade through. It was mmf galore, saw a lovely blouse in Whistles £100 went to look at the label mmf Shock same goes for a lovely lace top by Somerset. So I bought a cotton short sleeve Breton instead, can always rely on a Breton Grin

Also bought a camo jacket just to update my wardrobe and give a slight edge to my quite boring wardrobe Hmm

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 24/05/2017 13:41

Dream the jumper arrived, so I'll report back on sizing later :)

Also the whistles biker jackets seem to be discounted at the moment!

shopafrolic · 24/05/2017 15:56

Whistles have got a 20% off event Blair

OP posts:
BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 24/05/2017 16:34

That would explain it shop Blush I only looked at the jackets, to see if they still sold mine (they do, the Cara cropped one).

What's everyone wearing in this heat? It's H&M cotton cigarette pants and a sleeveless loose top for me.

shopafrolic · 24/05/2017 17:03

When I bought mine at the weekend the store manager (who is awesome) gave me the discount early so I didn't have to go back on the Monday. Love her.
