Join us to talk all things fashion and beauty. The clocks go forward next Sunday (who's bright idea was it to organise that on Mother's Day?!). Longer days and hopefully some sunshine - we're dying to get our ankles out.
All welcome :)

dream I use monthly disposables atm but I do worry about getting to a point where I can't wear lenses anymore. I'm even not sure laser could correct my -11s Blush The only frames i can get are really small untrendy ones as my lenses are really thick even when thinned down. You, on the other hand, look lovely in glasses, they really compliment your look.
Amber how horrible. I don't get taxidermy its just so pointless and gross!

shopafrolic · 21/05/2017 09:16

ST Beauty Awards winners
Have you got a pond Amber maybe they were using it as a bird scarer Weird.
Justa I got the double cleanse in M&S - I think it's available from their website too. Hope the eye improves soon.

Stuffed hawk? Grin that's weird Amber btw watched all 3 in a row on catchup skipping the breaks, you're one cool woman

Perfect jacket for you Shop

Having seen numerous 16yr old girls with weirdly streaky faces and white noses I'm steering well clear of any contouring. Looks great on b and w selfies but odd done badly IRL

Longislandicetee · 21/05/2017 13:00

Hi all. I am having a mini panic so just wanted to get opinions. I have bought this Swarovski watch as a 16th birthday present. I thought it was special and fun. But now I am worried about it not being special enough. When her sister turned 16, I got her this Tiffany necklace. I didn't want to get the same hence going down the watch route.

But would one of the other Tiffany heart pendants feel more special? Dh thinks Tiffany is more special so I am all in a dither 2 minutes before the birthday

libertydoddle · 21/05/2017 13:42

The watch is gorgeous and I imagine she will be really pleased with it.

libertydoddle · 21/05/2017 13:44

Also brand perceptions of man in 40's will be different to teenagers!

MarshaBrady · 21/05/2017 19:52

Late to the party but just checking out Pippa's wedding photos.

The children looked adorable. And her dress was nice. Love a nice veil too.

But I did also like Princess Eugenie's navy dress, really suited her.

MarshaBrady · 21/05/2017 20:16

I bet she'll be over the moon with that Blingy

Great jacket Shop

Love the Aquazzura for de Gournay on Matches. Looks like others do too (or a small batch) as mostly all sold out

We do have a massive koi pond (they helpfully left us six foot long koi) shop so maybe that was the reason. Anyway, my cat will serve as a sufficient bird scarer, I hope.

shopafrolic · 21/05/2017 21:20

I read that as 6ft long koi Amber Shock

OP posts:
AmberNectarine · 21/05/2017 21:49

The pond is about 10ft square but it might be a bit cramped!

DryWhiteagainW · 21/05/2017 22:30

Blimey so did I Shop!!!!

shopafrolic · 21/05/2017 23:14

I think I skimmed over the wedding pics. Need to take a closer look. Didn't realise she was marrying Spencer's brother!
Gorgeous dress in that pic Marsha love the styling.
Weather finally looks good for this week and for half term. Bring on the sunshine.

Great birthday present blingy, hope your niece liked it.

Glad you were pleased with the Levi's outfit shop, it's always nice to get a compliment.

I thought pippa's dress was nice too marsha. I liked the back. How tiny was her waist Shock I wasn't sure about Kate's outfit, I think it was the colour I wasn't keen on. I did like Donna Air's though.

I had a nice weekend away with some friends. Wore my new flamingo tshirt in the day with my new jeans and a navy blazer then my new monsoon lace top and jeans in the evening. Was pleased with them both. At the suggestion of some sun today, I am braving bare legs with my Michael kors gingham skirt, black top and new carvela sandals with my Bayswater. It's so good to be able to finally wear some of the summery things.

Have a good Monday voguettes!

queencerulean · 22/05/2017 10:36

Yay, sunshine!

Loved Pippas dress and agree that Kate's was possibly a bit too nude for her but I can see that she wouldn't have wanted to wear a brighter colour.

Can you send the dead bird my way amber. Big crows keep coming to eat my tadpoles and my cats are next to useless at scaring anything as they sleep all day.

OneNightTimeMenaceStrikesBack · 22/05/2017 12:12

is Paul & Joe Sister a brand worth bothering with? I've seen a bag by them i quite like the look of but don't want to buy it if it's crap and a bit naff!

very warm here today but i'm not going to see a lot of it as i'm packing to move as we move to the new place later this week. should get quite a lot done today as dp is away for the night with work so no distractions!! in fairness, dp packed most of the heavy things yesterday while i was having a nap so it's mostly just clothes and books for me to sort through today and he said not to worry myself about doing it all, if i can't manage leave it and he will finish it off

Stokey · 22/05/2017 12:16

Hello all, wow summer finally here. I need to stop myself panic buying clothes.

Garden sounds insane Amber, what odd people.

I've been trying to understand the skin care threads & have invested in a bit of double cleansing - I got some cleansing oil and Posay cleanser and SPF 50 sun cream. I've also got the Buffet, Hyaluronic Acid & Retinol from The Ordinary. It's meant to all be anti-ageing & I have a large spot on my chin so maybe it's working? Haven't tried contouring yet.

I've got some new birkenstocks on the way, not very S&B but I love them.

Have also got a new tee on its way from my friend at Wear Kindred, it's an insta only one so not on the website, but she's got some lovely things this season.

shopafrolic · 22/05/2017 16:00

I like the Lips tee Stokey - what's sizing like?

OP posts:
Dreamqueen · 22/05/2017 17:52

I like both the pineapple and flamingo ones Stokey How do you find The Ordinary stuff & how did you choose which products to buy/ I'm finding the choice a bit confusing.

maradesbois · 22/05/2017 18:32

Hello Voguettes,

Apologies for going awol and thanks for all the concern. All is good, really good, life and especially work just took over, must do better!

Have had a brief catch up:

Love the white boots Shop

Definitely not naff One

Love birkies Stokey

Congrats on the move Amber

Hope you get your eyes sorted soon justa, had no idea you were so shortsighted.

Queen I loved Pippa M's dress too, love a royal wedding! Really good interview with Giles deacon about it on business of fashion. Loved the children's outfits too.

Yes, love the Aquazzura de Gournay collab too Marsha, adore their wallpaper, definitely want to do a room when we finally get a house here. Think it would work between picture rail and dado rail with rest plain. That's what we did in our old living room.

Have done a fair bit of shopping in my absence from the thread, bought an interview outfit of navy cotton trousers and
white ruffle front shirt from apc, have worn to work with the chloé scalloped heels, feels really fresh and springlike.

More casual trousers: Sandro trousers got these in black too.

Have just ordered this tunic shirt, like how it is styled on the model with the front tuck, also this cotton shirtdress, could be fab or horrendous, will see.

And finally this bamboo basket bag which has been on my lust list for ages. We've just booked our summer holidays so will have occasion to use it!

AmberNectarine · 22/05/2017 21:02

The garden is actually lovely, dead bird notwithstanding. I do really like the koi - my parents keep them so I'm used to them. I find them very relaxing to watch. It's a real party garden, lots of different 'zones'. The bird I did not care for.

queencerulean · 23/05/2017 08:20

mara love love love that apc blouse.
It's a bit grey again today. Ive dragged my navy ravello top out but I'm not sure about it. In theory it ticks all the boxes but there's just something not quite right (which explains why it's been in the depths of my wadrobe)

Everyonelovessparkles · 23/05/2017 08:39

Sad news this morning about Manchester Sad

queenc I have a couple of ravello tops and I know what you mean. I think it's that when brand new they look great but after washing they never look the same again. And I find them a bit sweaty (but that might just be me!)

Wearing a black 3/4 sleeve boatneck tShirt and black lace midi skirt with tan and gold flat sandals.

Good luck with the interview mara. Your current placement must be ending soon? Has it helped you decide which part of the industry you would like to work in?

Dreamqueen · 23/05/2017 09:22

Totally in shock about incident in Manchester.

Justa thanks for info about contact lens. I'm going to book an appointment to give them a trial.

Nice outfit Everyone

queencerulean · 23/05/2017 14:49

everyone I think you may be right. It just looks a bit shabby considering it hasn't been worn that many times and it marks so easily. Into the charity bag it will go.
