Lipstick challenge for January

Don't worry, its not a 'thing' - you don't have to post photos on Facebook or get sponsorship for charity. Just something I'm planning to brighten up a dull January

The idea is that you wear a different lipstick / lipgloss every day through January. I'm planning to stick all of mine in a big box and do a 'lucky dip' every morning. It will be a bit of fun (in a slightly pathetic way) and will be interesting to see which lipsticks I get excited about pulling out and which I'm maybe not that fond of anymore

Anyone else fancy it?

Excellent work Buster! Looking forward to pics. I'm going to go to a Dior counter this weekend, find it in a lighter shade. But maybe the 020 will be my summer go to?

I actually tried a rock a casual red lip today.... ah man it's high maintenance, maybe it was random sneezing fits I kept having or the feeling of looking like the joker. But I will persist, of yes! Spurred by this thread. Today's lipstick of choice ' Rouge Ecstasy' 402. Armani. moisturising on application, settled in more of a matte feel. enamoured more by the matching lip liner. Un like Mac Cherry , it glided on.

Anyway, after my lipstick detox last night, I have several more reds that need to see the light of day

Bubbles I feel quite naughty for buying them, but it's too late to worry now! Here we go.

Oh and 020 will be fine for summer I think. I'm usually pale ivory or some other paler than pale shade.

Oh & oh. They look so buttery. You must update with colour pay off and general gorgeousness. M&S stock Diego Dalla Palma, i will be paying more attention next visit.

If memory serves me right I'm. Neutral in winter, warm in summer.

I second Clinique Cherry Pop, mine was free with Glamour magazine.

Argh!!! Sapphire I NEED that essence lipstick in 'red-y or not' serious - I have a big 'red-y or not' gap in my heart (unrealised until 30 seconds ago). I can't find it online - Why not??!

Can ANYONE recommend a vintage, bricky red such as that one? Sniff.

knitknack I got Red-y Or Not from this website, along with some other colours. P&P is steep if you think about it, so don't. Or have a look around and see if you want anything else, which is what I did. I'm waiting for them to send me some money so I can get a replacement for one of the Red-y Or Nots that I got though, because it was broken when it got here.

Today I'm wearing Esscence Black Gossip, an amazingly pigmented black lippy that feels really nice to wear.

Sapphire I admire your 'hunt 'em down' approach! No wonder you have such an awsome collection :). You have inspired me and I'm now determined to find the perfect vintage red! I did have a fab hourglass one, but like you I love to explore the cheaper brands so that is my new personal lipstick challenge

Thank you. I have something of an obsession with collecting, and if there's a collection that's not too big I like to get the whole lot. I ended up getting eight lipsticks and two eyeshadow palettes from that website, so P&P didn't seem so bad, and it got here in a couple of days, so worth it! Oh, you have no idea! I have more lipsticks than I know how many right now, I need to count them and possibly have another clear out. It's my hobby and my vice rolled into one. ♥💄💜

I'm having a beautifying day today, I'm dying my hair and this time I've remembered to use 2 boxes, I'm going to paint my nails too and I'm going to use a body scrub in the shower. This thread has really made me up my game! 😂

Clarins Joil Rouge- Rosy Nude. Apparently it brings out my blue eyes. Less stress then yesterday's red.

L'Oreal Color Riche Organza... I seem to have a stash of multibuy L'Oreal.

Dr L'Oréal lipsticks are really great, i especially like the Matte ones.

Today's is Nyx butter lipstick in Ripe Berry. It's .. ok. I like the colour but I think I have better versions of it, and I find the texture a bit too goopy/slippy.

I've tried out my new Diego eyeshadows and they are amazing, I really couldn't pick which ones I prefer! I'm in love with both! The grey/blue one is beautiful and so easy to do a smokey eye and the brown pinks are lovely too for a glam day look!

Revlon lip butter in Juicy Papaya. I actually really like this, it's a little bit sticky but otherwise I'm not sure why I stopped using it. After lunch I went for Chantecaille Rosewood but it looked a bit flat, so I added Juicy Papaya on top and it gave it some pep! Needed blotting down though.

I'm going to try out a rose pink one tomorrow. I don't usually do nudey shades but it looks lovely.

Wore NYX Bloody Mary today, felt very presentable.

I used to be all about muted pinks and MLBB mauves but right now I am in love with red. I've worn red lipstick every day for about two months now and I feel a bit bland without

Lancome Berry Noir, but applied as a stain.

The prettiest colour ever.

The Clarins Rosy Nude is a lovely colour but my lips are on the parched side. I topped it up L'Oréal sexy balm in ' As If'. Worked a charm!

It was Clinique Whooping Watermelon first, but I might as well not have bothered with it.

It just won't show on me.

Chardonnay just googled Berry Noir, it looks so beautiful!

It is, but I could never use it full on, it's too much.

Dulc- revoln lip butters are fab. I'm lacking in the Chantecaille so I will check them out. Thank you.

Buster, smokey eye & nude lip are just gorgeous. I had to sit on my hands last night and not order anything online. It was painful. Pleased the Diego was worth it. Were the 2 boxes of dye adequate? I have every intention of brows & nails tomorrow!
