Lipstick challenge for January

Don't worry, its not a 'thing' - you don't have to post photos on Facebook or get sponsorship for charity. Just something I'm planning to brighten up a dull January

The idea is that you wear a different lipstick / lipgloss every day through January. I'm planning to stick all of mine in a big box and do a 'lucky dip' every morning. It will be a bit of fun (in a slightly pathetic way) and will be interesting to see which lipsticks I get excited about pulling out and which I'm maybe not that fond of anymore

Anyone else fancy it?

Wearing a gorgeous matte coral lipstick from Kiko. At work and many compliments. Happy with it but never found lipliner to match

Bubbles You shall wear red lipstick, I, the lipstick fairy godmother command it! I haven't, but the Urban Decay website does NOT want to behave on my tablet. I got so annoyed with it last night that I gave up and went on the computer instead.

Today I wore Revlon Moon Drops lipstick in Love That Pink, which smells like granny purfume but comes in a funky dark green sparkly tube. Confusing as they have a Super Lustrous lipstick with the same name which I will be getting at some stage... I'll attach a picture of some swatches. (I've also ordered Orange Flip, 24K Orange and Hot Coral, but they're coming from the USA. And the entire line has been discontinued. )

This thread is getting expensive! I'm sitting on my hands to stop adding Tom Ford, Charlotte Tilbury and chubby sticks to my collection :)
I picked up the Chanel rouge Noir and like it, although it is a bit darker than I'm used to. I wore it in the house today to acclimatise!
Yesterday wore a nude/shimmery chanel gloss and felt hideous. I can wear sheer, matte and lustrous/whatever but bizarrely shimmer always makes me look like a drag queen.

Another Rimmel do a orange coral lip liner, it leans to which ever of the 2 you wear, it's an Exaggerate one called Call Me Crazy, I wear it with oranges and corals.

Lotta it's a great one! I had a terrible plan today to go make up browsing, but my son is off school ill! I'm so gutted, I had plans to go window shopping....lol. As if I wouldn't buy anything!!!! 😂

Blooming phone! I have a few new Chubby Sticks Minis from an ebay purchase (leftover/unwanted gift sets I think).

This morning is L'Oreal Spring Rose, a nice light pink, not at all appropriate to the weather but also goes OK with BB cream and mascara for a WFH day.

All my lipsticks are ancient but I didn't realise how ancient till I had to put on my reading glasses to see the print on this one. Don't remember doing that when I bought it.

Not only do I not want to appear I've tried too hard on the school run, I also don't have time to try at all, between DS having multiple shouting fits (he was off school for 2 weeks with a skiing holiday and then chicken pox and is clearly very worried about going back).

That old chestnut, I have to take my everyday glasses off to read things up close now! Old age creeps up on the best of us!

I now wear varifocals! Or "progressive lenses" as they now call them (possibly to make then sound less like they are for the elderly). They are actually v good for being able to read without taking your glasses off, though do require a bit of adjustment.

On the lipstick front, today's is Chanel Rouge Velvet in L'Amoureuse, which is a nice matte rosy berry colour. Lasts really well, good everyday shade, not drying (though not actually moisturizing-feeling like the CT mattes).

Weekend featured Maybelline Baby Lips (MADE FROM REAL BABIES) red lip crayon, which is surprisingly pigmented for a balm. Like!

No lipstick today, I cannot be bothered as son is home ill and I'm still sulking about not being able to go makeup 'window shopping'! 😂

I actually have monovision (two different strength contact lenses) but still needed reading glasses for this hangs head in shame.

Just a regular spec wearer here and still no contacts after infection. Argh
Thanks for lipliner advice buster but I just happened to be passing Kiko so made a journey and got the matching coral liner and thinking of sapphire, an awesome deep plum. Love it. Needs a bit more upkeep but many compliments and feels lovely.

I can't remember who recommended Essence Matte Matte Matte lipsticks but I picked one up at the weekend and wore it today. Very impressed - lovely colour (number 04), good pigment, wore well and no Sahara lips. And performs about 100 times better than MAC which is 5 times the price! Really chuffed so thank you for recommending!

Next on shopping list is one of the Max Factor mattes

Lotta That was me raving about the Essence matte lipsticks. I'm really glad you like them. I also think they smell amazing, I keep sniffing them. Oooh, yesssss.

Today I wore Revlon Sassy Mauve* for work, (which makes me think of Grav3yardgirl, who's another YouTube person I like, and her sassy song.) Then on the way home I wore Maybelline's Colorsensational Vivid lipstick in Vivid Rose, which is a really bright pink.

*This was part of a free goody box in Boots, a lipstick, nail polish, highlighter stick and mascara, if you spent a certain amount of money on Revlon. I'd never seen Sassy Mauve before and I wanted some Revlon stuff anyway, so it was too good an offer to pass on.

I wore Nars Dolce Vita lipstick today. I was a bit 'meh' when I first brought it. Just wearing cc cream & blusher but it looked pretty. My lips have been so sore. Dabbing on the paw, paw too.

Bubbles I'm going tomorrow, I need to go to that mall to get some presents for a forthcoming children's birthday party and it just happens to be the one with my favorite make up shop in it! 😂 my son is feeling well again so he's off to school and I'm off shopping! 💄

Brilliant, glad you son is in the mend & obviously the shopping :). I'm due a shopping trip this coming weekend. However I need to weed out some unloved lipsticks first or I'm on a shopping ban

Today I'm wearing a bit of a pricey number! It's a Dior Addict lipstick in Tribale. A kind off peachy nude. I only have about 2 nudey lippys and this is one of them. I'm wearing it with old gold coloured eyeshadow.

Buster, that Dior lipstick is gorgeous. I need that in my life! Pairing it with the gold eyeshadow too. I think I own too many nude pinks but I love them.

Today is the day I sort my stash out, you've given me the final push.

Fresh Sugar Rose (where's the accent key when you need it) today. It's one of my mini lipsticks that lives in my work bag - I only have a tiny makeup bag so I'm always on the lookout for samples/mini versions.

Bubbles My Marc Jacobs is a true fav, its opaque and veers towards matte, my purple pink one is Boy Gorgeous and I just love it. I store my lipsticks upright next to my eyeshadow palettes in my bedroom. I store them if I can with the shade sticker visible. Is your makeup old Bubbles? If so give it the sniff & taste test!

Today's lippie is Chanel Rouge Coco Stylo in Message (maybe it sounds more glamorous in French), aka one of the lipsticks that lives in my handbag. It's lovely! Sort of a plummy-red, very moisturizing, and v good pigment/coverage for something that feels like lip balm. Excellent everyday colour with a bit of zing.

I clearly need to start digging out more things that I hate, I had a flurry of throwing away but the last week has all been nice things.
