mara love the faux leather leggings!

I tend to wear 30 or 40 denier tights on a night out. So sheerer than thick ioaques but not as sheer as sheer if you know what I mean 😂 I don't like really thick opaque on me as I find they tend to get really shiny the thicker they get and I think they make my legs look like over-stuffed black shiny sausages Grin But then I only really buy cheap ones from Tesco, maybe quality ones are better?

HappyGirlNow · 08/12/2016 15:34

I always cried at my daughter's nativity too. She was always so cute in it!

Everyonelovessparkles · 08/12/2016 16:54

Thanks for the suggestions for DH. Some good ideas to consider! Though he won't be getting tickets to Milan! Cool present amber.

Nice buys mara and excellent service from matches.

Those glittery shoes are really nice happy.

I didn't really see anything in the shops that i wanted or needed so came away empty handed. However, I did see this navy star jumper which was really nice and I've ordered in my size since I came home. Wasn't someone else, mara maybe???, looking for a navy star jumper too?

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 08/12/2016 17:25

Viva was looking for one, not sure if anyone else was. That one is really nice! Hope you're doing ok Viva :)

DH and I do £100 budget for each other's presents so nothing big. I was thinking of getting him an Amazon Echo Dot - he likes using Siri, so I'm sure he'd use it more than me. Does anyone have one?

Mara your buys look lovely, the check trousers will be good for work. And always love a nice pair of pyjamas.

shopafrolic · 08/12/2016 18:14

I was looking at the Dot Blair- it gets great reviews in the tech press.

QueenCobalt · 08/12/2016 18:27

amber, are you sure that a trip to Milan is really for dh and not for you Grin
Great service mara. Love the pleathers especially.
Nice earrings blair. I've just ordered a cheap (£2.95!) star stud for my helix as I can change it next week.
shop agree with thin opaques. I too, have velvet touch ones although I think mine were JL. It might be worth trying something more though although on me they look frumpy.

Also got this one but lovely as it is, I think it's a bit boxy for me. It's a bit hard to do a half tuck thing because of the split hem. Will try again tomorrow though and decide then.

FedupNagging · 08/12/2016 18:44

Small children singing Little Donkey got me every time. sniff

Excellent service from Matches Mara and fab trousers. Am wearing my wide legged ones today with a polo neck.

Blair lovely earrings; I'm going to have a proper look at that website when I have more time.

Gorgeous sparkly shoes Happy and love the dress from Erdem. Did you find a maxi skirt?

Dh is difficult to buy for too and rarely asks for anything specific. I like the look of the Amazon gizmo Blair so would be interested to hear if anyone has one. Otherwise he's getting pj's and a dressing gown!

I have a few do's to go to starting with one tomorrow and one on Sunday (so will be home to watch the Strictly semi's, yippee) but none of them will require dressy dresses sadly. I'll be alternating between my 2 new tops with various trousers and heels I think.

Queen you've linked to Royal Mail for the first link!

I love the colour of the Warehouse top - so vibrant.

Size 10 Monsoon dress arrived and is going back :( It's just not fitted enough for me, and the silky slip felt permanently twisted. I think WIT had indulged in some pinning for the pics of her in it and I'm sure she gets paid to promote Monsoon anyway. But it is a gorgeous fabric and style, and I hope it suits you better Happy!

Now not sure whether to buy another dress, with one less event I'll be able to wear it to (was going to wear it this Saturday). I don't need a dress really, although I don't actually own a black cocktail dress. Or I could wear my Zarita to the one dressy event I'm going to, and buy something else nice like a skirt to wear to the other party. Decisions decisions! And I can't buy anything sparkly because my party bag is a gold sparkly AH Valerie.

That's interesting Shop, thanks, I might just go for it with the Dot.

HappyGirlNow · 08/12/2016 19:35

blair I didn't end up ordering in the end, as it just looked too straight. I don't think bloggers should be pinning to change the basic shaoe of clothes! Not on.

fedup I've ordered a cotton one with split at the front from Mango but it's probably more casual and I wanted dressy and I think it will be too a-line. I am refreshing the asos page on an hourly basis hoping they have a return of the burgundy suede skirt in my size Grin I am desperate!

HappyGirlNow · 08/12/2016 19:38

*shape of clothes obvs!

QueenCobalt · 08/12/2016 19:52

Duh. Not sure how that got linked. Luckily it was a neighbour that signed so not my name!

Everyonelovessparkles · 08/12/2016 20:12

Shame about the dress blair. I agree with happy, that it's not on for bloggers to be altering the look and fit of a dress even though marketing and advertising material must do it all the time. Could you wear your GC dress or is it too summery? Maybe wear your zarita and save your budget for the sales or SS17? I have to say I wasn't massively inspired by what i saw in the shops today....

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 08/12/2016 20:17

That's what I was thinking Everyone. I've had my Zarita years, but could still do with getting the CPW down! The GC dress is yellow so yeah a bit summery.

Did you end up getting anything for your DH? :)

shopafrolic · 08/12/2016 20:30

Who's setting up the next edition (new thread)?

Drywhitethanks · 08/12/2016 20:54

I've had such a wonderful day. Being 50 is great. Been thoroughly spoiled. Off to London on the weekend to carry on the celebrations....not a clue what's in store.

Everyonelovessparkles · 08/12/2016 21:16

blair I ended up getting him so slippers grin but will get him something more interesting too! Yes I suppose yellow is a bit summery.... sounds like the zarita might be a good choice?

queenc love the colour of the warehouse jumper.

Everyonelovessparkles · 08/12/2016 21:17

Happy birthday dry glad you've had a good day. Cake Wine Flowers
