I'be always found KM TTS

QueenCobalt · 03/12/2016 18:36

That's a lovely top fedup.

Have had a fab day and now just chilling and drugging up (sudafed not illegal substances!!) before going out this evening.

Since seeing pictures of Kate with moss coach launch this bag I've been a bit obsessed with it...

QueenCobalt · 03/12/2016 18:41

.... and now I own it. I expected dh to hate it but he actually really liked it and wouldn't buy me anything else! I love it and it totally sparks joy. They are about to be discontinued and so only had ones that had been in the shop. Due to a scratch on the back we got a good discount and they polished it up and its hardly noticeable Smile

shopafrolic · 03/12/2016 18:52

QueenC love how happy you are with your purchase. Definitely the right bag for you.
Dry have fun tonight
Bernice I meant to say I thought the boots were fine

FedupNagging · 03/12/2016 19:02

Thanks Shop, have now ordered.

That's such a quirky little bag Queen and it's so cute.

We're off out for a meal with friends in a while and I've dug out my leopard print jacket - forgotten how much I love it.

HappyGirlNow · 03/12/2016 20:26

shop I have that Warehouse dress, absolutely love it!

bernice I have the leopard print Next boots and adore them too, I haven't noticed a difference between them..

Ordered these velvet beauties today.. Grin

PollysPoppy · 03/12/2016 20:28

Evening Voguettes! I pop up here every so often when seeking advice so here I am again.

I have completely and utterly fallen in love with this watch. Tried it on in store today and it's just georgeous in the flesh. Its a big buy .... present from DH ... and we're mulling it over for a day or two. Question is, would you consider it an investment piece which will hold its value and be appreciated and hopefully worn by one of DDs when it gets passed on? Bit morbid, the last bit Grin. Would welcome views/opinions please! Thanks!

shopafrolic · 03/12/2016 20:31

happy how's the fit on the warehouse dress?

shopafrolic · 03/12/2016 20:32

Pollys would assumed a Cartier would be a legacy item but I don't have experience. Blingy* can you help?

HappyGirlNow · 03/12/2016 20:33

shop I have the size 10. I'm really a 10 on top/12 on bottom and it's perfect on me. I do like things quite fitted but it's not too tight.

libertydoddle · 03/12/2016 21:23

Polly have a search online for vintage watches. I think Cartier do hold their value. That said I think the yardstick should be do you love it??? I think you can justify cpw on a watch better than a lot of other items as you will wear it daily. I think it's a beautiful, classic watch and if you love it and can afford it go for it.

PollysPoppy · 03/12/2016 22:05

Thanks Shop and Liberty .... yes, would welcome Blingy's opinion. Liberty, do I love it? Yes, yes, yes! It's just perfect. I spied it online ages ago and it stuck in my mind. Then we had a big anniversary and DH wants to get me jewellery- I wasn't really considering a watch as I have a lovely Longines bracelet watch but really, when it came down to it, I will wear it more than a bracelet or necklace etc. If I was an earring person, it would be diamond earrings - but I'm not! It's over budget but is just so elegant, I love it. Did try a couple of others but they didn't make me want to leap up and down!!

libertydoddle · 03/12/2016 22:12

A watch that makes you want to leap has to be a winner!! Linus has one I think but she's not on the thread much these days.

Longislandicetee · 03/12/2016 23:17

Evening! Absolutely knackered! Went to a family party this evening and decided to wear this Alexander McQueen dress with Alexander McQueen belt then went overboard with the bling, including these Saint Laurent shoes. More sparkly than Christmas lights! Dh said it was an interesting choice of shoes considering i can't walk. I thought i was being really sensible!Hmm

Pollys I don't own a Cartier Tank, but would like to, as I think they're beautiful classic watches. I have a number of watches that are classics, and I love them because they make me want to leap as they're so beautiful. Well made watches will last decades and yes, can be passed on. E.g. dh has a watch that's 100 years old, solid gold never wears it though! My dd is likely also inherit diamond pieces from her grandmother (dmil) which belonged to her mum and grandmother. In my my mind, that's the definition of an "investment" piece, one that can be passed on to my kids and future generations. It's not so much about holding its value, i wouldn't want the dcs to sell them, I would want them to wear the pieces and think of me. So in short, get it, you know you want to!!Grin

Happy, love those shoes. Never think Zara shoes are comfortable enough for me but they always look good!

QueenC, love how that bag makes you so happy!Smile

Lovely top FedUp. I find KM TTS (own quite a few bits) but people always complain on mumsnet about them running small. I get the feeling my true size is more of a 5 ( if that existed!) rather than a 6. Not sure if that helps!BlushLet us know how you get on.

Everyonelovessparkles · 04/12/2016 08:13

Lovely watch pollys. As others have said, it's such a classic brand / style that should be able to be passed on. But as it's yours for the moment, if you love it, then get it!

Fun bag queenc!

Love the sparkley dress shop and glad that the new jacket fits.

Hope you enjoyed the party blingy and that you're feeling a bit better. Will you still be able to go on hols with the ILS over Xmas?

fedup that's a nice top. I find KM usually TTS.

We had a festive day yesterday - outside lights went up, the Xmas trees went up and we went to see Father Christmas! DD was enjoying it all so much. She looked out of the window at all our lights and said 'we're a real Christmas house now!'

It's a beautiful frosty morning here. Hope everyone has a great day Xmas Smile

Longislandicetee · 04/12/2016 11:34

Morning all! Was definitely a short appearance at the party. We were home by 10pm! Still in pain but more bearable now.

Everyone our insurance company are being a nightmare so end result we are going to wait and see how are feel in 2 weeks time and make a last minute decision. I think if we were going economy then the doctor would say don't go but I can just recline or lie flat so he's not categorically saying don't go. Which is an insurance problem. This holiday has been cursed from the onset!!

Dry looks like you had an amazing time!Wine

OneNightTimeMenaceStrikesBack · 04/12/2016 13:01

hello all!

fab bag queenC i really love it

blingy i hope you manage to sort the holiday, how disappointing it would be if you had to cancel Sad how are you feeling now? are you managing on your crutches okay?

dry you foxy lady you, you looked amazing last night!you really have an amazing figure

shop i love the jacket on you and your hair is really pretty Smile

absolutely nothing fashion wise to report and im at home doing housework until one of my sisters gets here

I have to have a minor op in a couple of weeks. that infected elbow just isnt getting better and is now abscessed so it's being cut out, cleaned inside and stitched. hopefully that will be the end of it then because it's been like it all year and im thoroughly fed up of it now

AmberNectarine · 04/12/2016 16:21

Afternoon all,

Lovely weekend so far - went to see a musical en famille on Friday, then DH and I went to a concert last night. As it's December I was sparkletastic - sequin leggings, equipment shirt and new Aquazzura flats on Friday, tiny sparkly TS mini dress (a 30th birthday present from DS, randomly) and black lowlands last night.

Currently in the bath with some pink fizz but will be putting on my Xmas jumper and leggings to decorate the tree in a bit.

Loving my Lancôme/Selfridges advent calendar - lots of lovely bits so far - Hypnose mascara, urban decay eyeshadow primer and Viktor and Rolf perfume etc. Fab.

Sorry for me, me, me post - hope you're all having lovely weekends!

libertydoddle · 04/12/2016 17:16

Ouch one. Sounds sore. Hope the op sorts it for you.

libertydoddle · 04/12/2016 18:34

Was cut short by demanding child...

Amber where did your sequin leggings come from?

Everyone like you we decorated this weekend and today went into London for brunch and a wander around Liberty. Got some baubles for the tree. Was all lovely.

I'm in a blue mood though and struggling to shake it off. Feeling down about the world (Brexit, Trump etc) and feeling sad that this will be our last Christmas here. I do want to relocate but there are so many people and things about life here I will really miss....and I'm a sentimental weeper at the best of times so all the circumstances are combining. DH keeps trying to jolly me along but I have told him to back off and let me grieve.

shopafrolic · 04/12/2016 18:51

Hugs for you Lib x

Drywhitethanks · 04/12/2016 20:14

Polly YES!YES!YES! Cartier is my dream watch brand lusting after the tank Francaise for years

I had the night of my life. Everything was perfect and better, loads of surprises. Has made me feel humbled, overwhelmed and very, very lucky. And I didn't muck up my speech or fall over on the dance floor.

MNV outfit was spot on, can't wait to wear it. Mara your bag was much admired, [fthanks] sooooo much xxxx

Everyonelovessparkles · 04/12/2016 20:51

Glad you had a great time dry, I'm sure you looked fabulous!

Sorry to hear you're feeling a bit down lib but I guess the move is such a big thing it's bound to affect you.

blingy, the holiday insurance situation sounds like a bit of a nightmare. Would you enjoy it if you did go? I guess, waiting to see how you feel in a couple of weeks is a good plan.

My fossil bag has still not turned up and I have had a cheeky email asking to review it! Am a bit annoyed, especially if it's gone missing and I have to reorder and will miss out o the discount, again. Will ring customer service again and find out where it is.

Sounds like everyone has had lovely weekends. I love the build up to Christmas, more so than the day itself! Xmas Smile

Drywhitethanks · 04/12/2016 21:07

Oh Liberty big hugs to you Xmas Smile

maradesbois · 04/12/2016 21:40

Hello,

Makes me so happy that lots of you love the build-up to Christmas too Xmas Smile. Our tree is up, red berry lights this year. We went skating at natural history museum this afternoon then for hot chocolate on a cafe terrace with heat lamps and blankets, was so festive.

One oh no, that sounds nasty, wish you a speedy recovery.

lib big squeeze. It's a reflective time of year and all about family and friends so understandable to be thinking about what you're leaving behind but am sure all will seem clearer in January.

Dry you certainly did look amazing in party pics, super glam and elegant. Glad the bag went down well, whole outfit was perfect.

Everyone oh no, rubbish about missing package. Hope the cs are sorting out a swift replacement.

Blingy playing it by ear and not feeling pressured to go sounds like the right plan. Even in business/first with flat bed you'll still have to do lots of walking, sitting and waiting about though so if you don't feel up to it would hope the doctor can back you up.

QueenC such a cute bag! Read an article in the ft fashion section about Coach and how well they are reinventing themselves. Merger with or acquisition by Burberry is on the cards allegedly.

Oh and lastly don't know why I thought it would be lovely to go to Fortnum and Mason on the first Saturday in December to get hampers for family and friends abroad Xmas Confused. Was hell on earth, people pushing and shoving and shelves were bare. We tried to persevere but no horseradish was the last straw and made a sharp exit. Will go back during the week when quieter.
