Dry so glad you had the best time last night, you looked fabulous!

Hugs Lib, it's a bittersweet thing and especially so this time of year.

Decorated our tree today too, just need to put up wreath and write cards, got a few more presents to buy too.

Polly I agree with the others, go for it if it makes you jump for joy! As you say, you'll wear it every day and it'll make you smile whenever you look at it. The perfect thing to one day pass down.

Made one last pre-Christmas purchase, this star print t-shirt from New Look. Have started compiling sales wishlist pin board, so will be sitting on my hands til the 26th :)

Longislandicetee · 04/12/2016 22:35

One, is your op pre Christmas?

Amber, love the sound of sparkletasticGrin

Lib, hugs to you my friend. Dh is probably trying to jolly you along because he's scared you might change your mind.

Dry, events like that are just the best aren't they? Glad you loved it so much!

Everyone, can't believe they asked you for a review!!Shock

Mara, right there with youXmas Smile All the lights went up outside the house today. Looks lovely when you go by, but dh also has them in the garden so I can see from the back of the house. Most of the house decorated and tree number 2 and 3 went up today. Third tree is the main tree which poor dh always has to lug the huge thing from up the road!Xmas Grin. The dcs have "decorated" so i will err tidy it up while they're at school tomorrow!

libertydoddle · 04/12/2016 22:41

Thanks for all the hugs Flowers. Blingy he is scared I will change my mind. Bless him though he even said yesterday that we can move to Ireland instead if that would make me happy. But I don't want to live there. I'd just like NZ to only be a 4 hour flight!!!

I love the Christmas build up. It's definitely the best bit.

PollysPoppy · 04/12/2016 23:17

Thank you for all the watch encouragement Ladies - I love it and DH is very keen so I think we will be getting it .

Liberty - hope your move goes well. Homesickness is really tough but hopefully you'll settle quickly and it will feel like home.

OneNightTimeMenaceStrikesBack · 05/12/2016 00:55

it is pre christmas blingy doctor wants it done as soon as possible as he's worried the infection will spread and make me really ill if it's left too long. My sister is going to be coming the week it's done to help me wrap presents and to help round the flat in general as I will have to keep the weight off my arm which means i can't go out as i obviously won't be able to use my second crutch

big hugs lib i'm sure you'll feel much better about it all come January, it's a very reflective time of year as has been said and it's a huge change to be making.

LinusLovesBretons · 05/12/2016 01:59

PollysPoppy I have the Tank Anglaise in white gold with a white gold strap and I love it so much.

DH bought it for me as a present to celebrate the birth of DD so she will inherit it but, in the mean time, I wear it daily. Wink

It really is the perfect match between a watch and a piece of jewelry. And I think it is quite discreet as not many people recognise it as a Cartier watch.

Hello my lovely MNVoguettes! I have been AWOL for a while (most of you know why) but I will try to pop in regularly from now on time difference permitting

Not much to report on the S&B front apart from some LuluLemon workout gear and some boring basics.

I did buy another handbag but as I haven't picked it up yet (I have been waiting for it since March) I can't share it with you yet.

It is hard to keep up with the thread because of the time difference but I will do my best! Missed you all!

shopafrolic · 05/12/2016 09:40

OMG!!! Best Christmas present ever! Linus is back. Xmas Smile
And PMSL at "no horseradish was the last straw" so good Mara Xmas Grin
Morning all - blooming freezing here. Off to spend the day with DF while DM goes Christmas shopping. He bought a new laptop last week and promptly forgot the password so I think I'll be in tech mode for most of the day and writing Christmas cards while he sleeps.

libertydoddle · 05/12/2016 14:11

Great to have you back Linus.

The horseradish moment in F&M is MNV gold Grin

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 05/12/2016 15:54

Hi all. Big waves to Linus - handbag reveal sounds exciting!

I think my Monsoon dress has been delivered so will try that on later Happy.

Everyonelovessparkles · 05/12/2016 16:26

I also had a good laugh at mara's last straw being no horseradish Grin

Hope you like the dress blair. With all these sparkley purchases being made it's made me Envy. Have got the day off on Thursday so might have a look round kingston and see if anything grabs me.

Boring bag update. Spoke to fossil. Apparently it was delivered last Monday to a local shop as I wasn't in!!! Absolute bollocks as not only was I in all day but no card was put in the letter box and why didn't they leave it in the porch like every other delivery company under the sun and why deliver it to a local shop that i had not named?? Short answer - because the delivery person was obviously delivering stuff to the shop, couldn't be arsed coming to my house, so made up some crap excuse. I was mad. Luckily I am pleased with the bag and like the personalisation, it's subtle but looks good.

HappyGirlNow · 05/12/2016 16:36

Aw great blair will wait to see how it fits..

QueenCobalt · 05/12/2016 17:32

Bah humbug here. I love how you guys love the run up to christmas but I'm a bit meh about it all ......

libertydoddle · 05/12/2016 17:44

So annoying everyone but glad you like the bag.

On my no show deliveries - Hermes lost my Gap delivery and now all the items are out of stock. White Company went oos on the items I ordered so they cancelled the order but didn't bother to email and let me know. I am rather cross about that!! Will not be ordering from them again.

QueenC I remember you saying that last year and that you took your decorations down on boxing day. I was Shock. Hope the rest of us aren't too annoying. I know lots of people don't enjoy it. DH finds it a real trial. I can see he is in 'grin and bear it' mode with me.

Larastheme · 05/12/2016 17:56

linuuuuuuuuuuuus Xmas Grin, omg! I was just thinking about you this afternoon, Was admiring a chloe fluffy textured sweater, and though to myself ah linus hates that ! Even though Im the one who is wearing it.

mara if ever there was an overheard in fortnum's page , your horseradish comment will be at the top Xmas Grin yes going weekday is better,or have a look at mount street deli, packaging isn't as exciting as F&M but they are very good.

I'm like queen, meh about it all, and still have loads of Gifts to buy, sometimes I think I'll just send gift cards, although my mum thinks its a big no no here , and that she is willing to volunteer to go shopping instead Xmas Shock

AmberNectarine · 05/12/2016 18:26

Tree is up, house is White Company 'Winter' scented, fairy lights are EVERYWHERE. I LOVE CHRISTMAS (sorry QueenC). Am attending an event at F&M with DH on Thursday. It's an annual work thing and it makes me feel so festive.

I have decided I will wear something sparkly every day in December, even if it's just earrings.

Oh and I have bought and wrapped nearly all my gifts, including teachers'

Xmas Wink
AmberNectarine · 05/12/2016 18:27

And, and, and... DH had made me pigs in blankets for my supper. Knew I married a good'un.

MarshaBrady · 05/12/2016 18:33

Linus!! Our Vogue Christmas is complete!!

FedupNagging · 05/12/2016 19:52

Hooray, Linus is back - waves like mad Xmas Smile

Mara you are so funny - definitely a mnv moment watch out for the comment in the daily fail

Lib I get that this Christmas will be bittersweet for you; try to stay positive so that you all have lovely memories in the future.

Queen my dfriend feels the same as you - she finds the pressure to get everything done on time and have everything 'perfect' too overwhelming. We had a bottle of fizz over lunch today to help with the stress Xmas Grin

Amber I'm very envious of your pigs in blankets organisational skills; I've still got a fair bit to do and due to roof and oven gate, not a christmas light or tree in sight as yet.

OP posts:
BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 05/12/2016 20:01

I love pigs in blankets and sprouts. Pet hate is not having enough of them when you have a Xmas lunch in a restaurant!

Good idea on the sparkles Amber! My new look star t-shirt arrived and I love it, it's very sparkly and not tacky (sorry Dry Grin).

Monsoon dress also arrived and it's gorgeous but 12 was too big. I think WIT just doesn't want anyone else to look as small as her Wink I've already ordered a 10, my normal size. The discount I got before has gone but I got 10% off with RWDAW15. But it's an absolutely beautiful dress, even DH said so without prompting. Go for it Happy!

everyone glad you got your bag in the end. How annoying though, getting anything delivered at this time of year is such a trial. I could not be a delivery driver!!

LinusLovesBretons · 05/12/2016 21:04

Thank you for the warm welcome back everyone! Your reactions do make me laugh, didn't think I would be missed that much.

queenc I am also very slow to get into the Chistmas spirit. It usually takes me at least until the 23rd to feel festive, even though I do put up decorations, write Christmas cards and buy Christmas presents.

This year it's even harder as listening to Jingle Bells when it's 25 degrees outside is not conductive to feeling Christmassy. But it's been raining since Saturday so maybe that will help. Wink

lara put the fluffy jumper down. I don't care if it's Chloé! Hmm

Off to do the school run now!

HappyGirlNow · 05/12/2016 21:05

Ooh thanks blair I will!!! Grin

maradesbois · 05/12/2016 21:10

Evening,

Linus!!!!!!!!!Xmas ShockXmas SmileXmas Smile (and thank you to Pollys for getting her back - welcome btw and love the Cartier watch)

Oops, wasn't even trying to be funny about the horseradish, was genuine surprise about the run on condiments, am clearly developing 'London Ways' Xmas Grin.

Lara love mount st deli, they do a great bakewell tart, love mount st full stop in fact but think am going to go back to f&m when I have a free weekday morning.

QueenC I do understand, it must be a nightmare with everyone banging on about it constantly. What I love about the holiday itself is taking a few days break from the world (particularly the shops-would hate to be out at the sales on Boxing Day) even though the commercial side seems to intrude more and more every year.

Fedup what's the latest on roof/oven repairs?

Everyone glad you got your bag and all is good despite the delivery faff.

Longislandicetee · 05/12/2016 21:34

I am so happy to see you back LinusXmas Smile. Glad the watch drew you back!

Mara I did F&M gift sets 2 years ago online. Now crowds - all Linus' idea when I was having a massive panic.Xmas Smile

Today is a day best forgotten. Being at home is making me realise that a good chunk of my job is about saving things lurching from disaster and saving people from themselves!! Now relaxing with Ambre Diptyque candle from day 3.

yesterday I got L'ombre dans L'eau eau de pafrum and today another candle. Listening to Christmas music again. Big hugs to QueenC Xmas Wink x

Yeah I ordered two of the dresses from WIT's post blair, the &OS furry one and the Self-Portrait one. Got an 8 in both and both are fine so not sure what she was one about. Going to wear both with my new Aquazzuras though, so I thank her for that inspo.

I am still loving my calendar - urban decay setting spray today. Will come in handy!

Am festively attired in tartan leggings this evening!

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 05/12/2016 22:12

Ooh Amber I am so Envy of the SP dress, that one is utterly stunning! Actually loved all her picks. I don't have very good legs but I do like a party dress with a sleeve for some reason.

Bernice I forgot to answer, WIT is still writing here, the party dresses is on 22nd November.
