Yep, I'm all about the Reebok classics at the moment!

Only purchase to report from the weekend is this subtle little number which I will be wearing to the Kiss haunted house party this week.

Off to see Trolls this afternoon shop, glad to hear you enjoyed!

Everyonelovessparkles · 24/10/2016 14:38

amber Halloween Grin Halloween Shock

SoyYo · 24/10/2016 15:36

Afternoon all, sorry I couldn't keep up with the thread.
amber that is one cool Halloween outfit! I could never get away with a body stocking! [tlhenvy] Enjoy!

I have not been very well, hence AWOL. I am better now.
Just wanted to say THANK YOU for all the lovely comments on my curly haircut Flowers

PollysPoppy · 24/10/2016 17:49

Dry - I love those boots! What's the sizing like? Looking at Sam Edenham size chart they equal a UK 6 to a European 38 to a US 8 whereas to me a 6 is a 39 so am lost as to which size to order! And, may I ask .... you mentioned a 30% discount.... is there a code for sharing please or maybe it was personalised. Had been eyeing Russell & Bromley De La Rue ankle boots (sorry can't link on phone) but yours are edgier I think.

Loving all the links!

shopafrolic · 24/10/2016 19:34

Amber Trolls is a bit like someone vomited up 20 bags of Skittles onto the screen but the soundtrack is awesome. Hope you enjoyed.
Day out in St Albans today. Went looking in the Dressing Room for a piece of jewellery for my birthday but nothing stood out. I'm having your issue QueenC
Fell in love with a pair of grey coated Paige skinnies and lots of cashmere but out of budget. :(

SoyYo · 24/10/2016 20:10

Meant to add despite my ban on new clothing I relented because sooo many things are too big for me now my excuse anyway and before I got sick/unwell I was in shop's DH hometown, popped into Jarrolds (old fashioned dept store in Norwich) and picked up this Barbour coat. The pics don't do it justice, it is a wonderful shade of olive green with very subtle tartan stripes in pink/blue, and is beautiful tailoring.
Love it!
I also picked up useful things from the Hobbs sale and M&S trousers for work.

shopafrolic · 24/10/2016 20:13

Love a bit of Jarrolds - reminds me of are you being served!

SoyYo · 24/10/2016 20:29

Grin yes shop! Love a mooch round the place and the sales people are truly lovely in a very old fashioned and totally non edgy way!

SoyYo · 24/10/2016 20:36

Anyway Norwich overall has that vibe but it will all be gone once they have a fast train link to London, which is a shame as I love Norfolk for the very reason its quite isolated to be too trendy (except Burnham Market) it's as if time stood still...

AmberNectarine · 24/10/2016 20:36

Lolz, my DH is from Norwich also.

The cinema was shut for refurb, so we're going tomorrow now. Went Halloween shopping for the kids costumes instead.

Not sure I will pull off the bodystocking, but nothing ventured!

SoyYo · 24/10/2016 20:43

Btw if any of you are contact lens wearers I got a huge scare over that Norfolk weekend...my left eye became hugely painful and red very suddenly after a long beach walk day after Norwich visit. Turns out I had an ulcer on my pupil and now on the mend...but it was scary and reason I couldn't look at screens.
I've worn lenses for 25 years without single incident and scrupulous about hygiene so anyway beware and if you ever notice anything weird and painful just go straight to A&E rather than a GP. I'm glad I did!! It happened over a weekend so hospital was my only choice but only an oftalmologist can diagnose and I started treatment straight away which minimised potential damage

shopafrolic · 24/10/2016 20:45

We're going as a skeleton family to a party on Saturday Amber How did I not know we shared a Norfolk connection?!
I love Norwich. It has changed massively in the last 5 years I think.

SoyYo · 24/10/2016 20:45

All those Norfolk boys shop and amber! Grin

SoyYo · 24/10/2016 20:48

The lanes are the only remotely trendy bit with some nice independent shops and tea/coffee places and not trendy but love that it has the oldest "head shop" in England! Smile

shopafrolic · 24/10/2016 20:48

Scary SoyYo hope you're on the mend

SoyYo · 24/10/2016 21:13

Yes I am thank you shop

On the coat topic still looking for a warm but short winter jacket, the kind you throw on to pop to the corner shop or walk the dog in (but I only have cats just to illustrate) and not too much £
Was pondering on Uniglo ultra light jackets and nearly bought today and then couldn't make my mind up about colour! I'm light olive skinned and you saw my hair colour on the curly photos, brown eyes so typical Mediterranean complexion. Have never had my colours done but reckon I am Autumn... I was dithering between olive, beige but not sure how "true to life" Uniglo web pics colours are as they also do a red that looks like pink to me...oh well if anyone has suggestion on quality for the price or best colours for a fitted short downy jacket let me know...

HappyGirlNow · 24/10/2016 21:26

Ooh SoyYo that sounds nasty - glad you got it treated in good time!

The jacket Myleene Klass is wearing in this DM (sorry!) article arrived today. Not my usual style icon Grin but I really liked it! And I like it in real life too. On a side note, think this article links to Littlewoods where rhenium's jacket was £100, I remembered reading that Very sells the same stuff for less (think because Littlewoods encourages credit accounts), it was on Very for £80, and I had a money off code for very so got it for £60-odd.

SoyYo · 24/10/2016 21:46

Daily fail jacket is great Happy! AND a bargain price, well done for keeping up with sober October!

Btw I did catch up with the previous thread just too many lovely links to comment on well after the event! Cheered me up no end once I could read again

HappyGirlNow · 24/10/2016 21:49

Thanks SoyYo! Only 7 days to go Grin

Drywhitethanks · 24/10/2016 22:29

AmberNectarine · 24/10/2016 22:33

Love those boots dry. Do NOT need any more boots!

Forgot to mention this skirr which I collected today. Really like it.

shopafrolic · 24/10/2016 22:43

Glad you ordered Dry - love it when my recommendations become purchases. Hope they are good.

PollysPoppy · 24/10/2016 23:09

Dry - thank you! Quick question .... sizing! Are those UK sizes on that website? I can't figure it out!

PollysPoppy · 24/10/2016 23:23

Scrub that question .... ordered - due Thursday! Cheers Dry!

Stokey · 25/10/2016 08:28

SoyYo I think I'm similar colouring to you - half Asian but often get asked if I'm Spanish or Italian, light olive skinned too.

I was diagnosed as a winter - you already have a lot of yellow in your skin so it's best to avoid yellow based colours, like khaki, orange, mustard, cream based, beige. Go for dark colours, whites or jewel colours. Obv not a diagnosis but a tip.

Love those Next boots Bernice, am taking the DDs there to to buy boots today so may have to try them on.
