It is SO short though. Honestly can't bend over in it. She is much shorter than me (have met her). About 5'1, I'd say.

Drywhitethanks · 05/12/2016 22:59

Is it the lace one Amber love that .

LINUS!!!! Xmas Grin and a big FHUG too. Great to have you back.

Sooooo Christmassy . So lovely and cold here. Bought my wreath today and am off to the panto tomorrow.
Need to blitz Christmas shopping next week but would rather to spend the spa voucher I was given by some friends, fancy an afternoon of pampering. I've been spoilt and it's not even my actual birthday yet.

Mara love the horseradish incident...this thread is the place where we nod in sympathy at such catastrophes Xmas Smile

HappyGirlNow · 06/12/2016 06:47

Ooh managed to order the Mango velvet dress WIT had in her edit! Been eyeing it for ages (along with the lace Monsoon) but it's been out of stock, just back in - happppppyy Grin

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 06/12/2016 09:27

Ok, now we just need someone to buy the £900 Roksanda one and we've got a full house on WIT party dresses! Grin I wish it could be me!

QueenCobalt · 06/12/2016 10:22

linus so great to have you back!!

So, I'm not feeling at all Christmassy today, just feeling totally sorry for myself. My cold has gone to my chest and when I cough I sound like a cross between a dog/sea lion/someone with an 80 a day habit Grin. I'm not moving out of my bed all day until the school run again!

QueenCobalt · 06/12/2016 10:24

Fantasy shopping....

QueenCobalt · 06/12/2016 10:25

HappyGirlNow · 06/12/2016 10:29

Even better than the Mango dress - just managed to secure Guns n Roses tickets for nect year wooo hooo! Last saw the full line up at Wembley in 1991 although saw Axl himself a few years ago.

So. Chuffed. Grin

QueenCobalt · 06/12/2016 10:40

LOVE these

QueenCobalt · 06/12/2016 10:51

more divine shoes

QueenCobalt · 06/12/2016 11:14

Some amazing (and not so amazing) dresses here from the fashion awards. Kate, as ever, looks fab imho

maradesbois · 06/12/2016 13:06

Hello,

Love the marni top and awards link, Kate does look fab QueenC as I think do Alexa in feather-trimmed Prada pyjama-style suit and stella tennant in cobalt blouse and leather leggings. Don't like the mermaid-style fishtail gowns on young girls but naomi and charlotte dellal looked fab.

Am off into town to try and box off rest of Christmas shopping including F&M, back later to report on progress!

maradesbois · 06/12/2016 13:07

Oh and received the REDValentino white shirt. Love it and definitely keeping.

maradesbois · 06/12/2016 13:09

Also in rodent news my neighbour caught the mouse in his trap, hurrah! No more sightings so am trying to believe there was only ever one...

FedupNagging · 06/12/2016 16:32

That sounds grim Queen - hope you managed to do the school run ok - fish and chips for tea?

Phew, glad that pesky rodent has been captured Mara. Lovely white shirt so glad its a keeper.

The cooker and extractor should arrive by Thursday but the electrician hasn't actually confirmed he's coming to wire it all in. Dh decided he'd sort the roof which quite frankly seems to be causing more problems than it's solving atm Hmm

I love the KM top I ordered but it's full of creases where it was folded. It's hanging up whilst decide whether or not to have a go with the iron - don't want to ruin it before I've even worn it!

I popped into a local indie boutique earlier and picked up some navy leather gloves (sadly mmf lining not cashmere) and a black lace l/s blouse - can't find a pic online but it will get lots of wear.

Haven't had time to catch up but good news about the mouse Mara
Sequin dress is going back. It is fab, but I got a 14 (as they didn't have a 12 and I expected it to come up small) and it is too big. Definitely cut for curves Blingy I'll be interested to hear your thoughts.

LinusLovesBretons · 06/12/2016 19:01

I love a bit of velvet queenc and have been lusting after loads of velvet heels but I really don't take good care of my shoes and I'm afraid the velvet will wear off quickly.

A bit like my pony hair leopard print J Crew ballet flats who now have a bald patch each.

But I did finally put on the navy velvet Brunello Cucinelli joggers I bought during the summer as it has gotten quite cold here in the morning.

I am wearing them with an old BC cashmere jumper and my IM Bryce trainers and I really like this outfit.

I just remembered I did buy another Tippi jumper a couple of weeks ago as they are so easy to throw on with a pair of jeans or a skirt.

This time it's a very hot pink which is out of my comfort zone but I really like it.

I have my eye on some more bright pink items from Vanessa Bruno and APC but I am waiting for the sales as they are not really 'essential' buys.

AmberNectarine · 06/12/2016 21:11

I recently got these boys and I properly love them. They make me feel all louche and decadent.

Back to work tomorrow after nearly 2 weeks (combo of home working and hols). Looking forward to wearing proper clothes (sweatshirts and leggings have been order of the day at home!)

PollysPoppy · 06/12/2016 23:43

Linus , thanks for coming back to the thread to tell me about your watch. It sounds absolutely lovely. I loved the understated elegance of the one I tried on - still smile when I think of it. DH is going to ring the jewellers tomorrow. We had the children with us when we went and they were open mouthed, not only at the prices of pieces in cabinets but by the fact we were offered a glass of champagne or coffee and that the man helping us wore gloves to handle the jewellery.... he turned out to be the MD slash owner.

Dreamqueen · 07/12/2016 13:18

Lovely to see you back on here Linus

My Mac book died while down here and couldn't remember my details to get on here from my phone. I fell like I've lost a limb and am dreading the ordeal of the Genius Bar before Christmas when I return. At least it's stopping me from shopping.

Going to catch up fully now on all the news.

Longislandicetee · 07/12/2016 14:12

Afternoon! Went to nativity play this morning and have been lying exhausted on the sofa ever since. One of these days I will get through it without crying.Xmas Blush Dh didn't even sit next to me as I am too embarrassing!

My warehouse dress arrived last night. Its a bit loose but not noticeably so. As i am a curvy 6, it skims boobs and bottom without being too tight. Dh and Voguettes who got my selfie said it looked good so I will wear it on Saturday night. So, thank you Shop and Meriboo.

shopafrolic · 07/12/2016 15:20

Glad it worked for you Blingy - rest up now :)
I've sent mine back as it was too big.
Went to St Albans and bought this sparkle dress from Oliver Bonas - more sparkly in real life and has pockets (and we all know how much I love a pocket). Much much nicer IRL.
So that's cocktails on Friday sorted thank God. I also got a wide velvet choker from TopShop to dress other things up.
Fab shoes Amber

HappyGirlNow · 07/12/2016 16:53

Afternoon all!

This faux leather Warehouse dress arrived today and it's a keeper Grin

I need some help please? I'd love a beautiful maxi skirt the same shape as this and nasty Jane Norman one i.e. with the split up the front. Has anyone seen anything?

HappyGirlNow · 07/12/2016 16:54

cheap and nasty!

HappyGirlNow · 07/12/2016 16:55
