Mara not much brief/budget. Mid heeled ankle boot to wear with skinnies etc . Work suitable heel. But something nice. To replace the pettys. No rush really I do have rather a lot of boots

Merriboo · 29/10/2016 19:39

Viva so sorry about your DM 💐
Called to in to john Lewis today and fell for a Michael kors bag with a price match (not a brand I normally like) but the colour I looked best is in the larger size the smaller size that I think might be better comes in caramel
I think I drove the assistant mad being indecisive..... 🤔

Merriboo · 29/10/2016 19:40

Amber your outfit description on the other thread sounds fab! And it's not just a belt... It's a Gucci 😂

AmberNectarine · 29/10/2016 20:31

Thanks Merriboo - have added a pic!

Home now, sipping wine with a kitten in my lap Smile

Topazandpearl · 29/10/2016 20:46

Slipping in quietly to say 'hello'. Have not been around much due to rl issues getting in the way, as it does from time to time. We are just back from a lovely holiday in Italy, which reminded me of the old French/Italian chic threads. I bought a pair of gloves in the perfect shade of conker brown. I also passed a SantaMaria Novello shop, which reminded me of santa, and made me realise that I have missed being on this thread. This time of year also reinvigorates my interest in my wardrobe (I struggle in the summer). I will gradually catch up with you all, old and new (I hope) friends.

QueenCobalt · 29/10/2016 21:41

Hey topaz good to see you again.
one you are one brave crazy lady. Do your piercings itch as they heal? Mine's itching and driving me mad at the moment (9 days since doing it).
I've been out for the afternoon/evening with dd. Spent a lot of time waiting outside Claire's whilst she chose her tat. Wore the new BR blouse with the flouncy sleeves. I haven't yet got them altered but they weren't too annoying actually.

alwayspearshaped · 29/10/2016 21:44

Delurking to ask you stylish lot whether anyone has a pair of rockstuds. If so, have the toes kept their shape or have they sort of bent at the top (rubbish explanation but hopefully someone will know what I mean!) Thanks

AmberNectarine · 29/10/2016 21:46

I have the flat ones and the point has a crease across it, yes.

shopafrolic · 29/10/2016 22:05

Nice to see you Topaz :) I miss Santa so much
Great Halloween night with good friends. Skeleton family outfits worked well and loads of fun was had.

justasecond · 29/10/2016 23:01

Hi all, have been lurking for a bit as laptop playing up and I can't post from my phone (don't ask, I am a complete pleb when it comes to technology!)
Flowers and hugs for viva so sorry to hear that about your dm.

Hello topaz nice to see you back. I was wondering where santa is too hope she comes back.

blair so Envy Envy about your apc trench, that has been on my wishlist forever. Hope it works for you.
bernice love those finery dress esp the navy one. Lovely warehouse prints. They used to do really good printed silk a few years back I still have a couple of their tunic dresses that still look good.
lib hope your bites are better now, I am a mozzie magnet too. I spent my honeymoon looking like elephant woman after being bitten all over my face!
happy nice next heels, I wouldn't even be able to stand in them let alone walk!

dry there are indeed some lovely boots in stories. I bought www.stories.com/gb/Shoes/Boots/Burgundy_Ankle_Boots/114051287-121930484.1these yesterday. I wore them all day today with no problems. The leather version were very nice too. I saw these in Office in the brown and they looked lovely much much better than the pics and seemed to be really comfortable too, office boots

Also bought this jumper www.stories.com/gb/Ready-to-wear/Knitwear/Wool_Mock_Neck_Sweater/582940-121930651.1

More makeup feedback too, I bought ti his charlotte tilbury blush. I wanted a natural looking not too pink colour to go with a brighter lipstick. I used it today and it lasted all day and is well pigmented so you only need to use a small amount

OneNightTimeMenaceStrikesBack · 29/10/2016 23:17

queenC does it make me braver that at the place i went to today, they don't numb you at all?! yes, mine do itch as they heal, pretty normal as far as i know, as long as you are cleaning it properly it's nothing to worry over Smile

Everyonelovessparkles · 30/10/2016 07:24

Sorry to hear your news viva, hope you and your family are ok. Flowers

Glad you had a good night shop, I'm sure you oooked fab in your skeleton outfit.

Love the sequin cat suits queenc!

soyyo annoying about your boiler. Hope you managed to do some sorting out though.

Lovely jumper justa, that shade of red is so autumny and festive! Is there a detailing on the shoulder?

DC up at 6 today, not too bad as normal time (pre clock change). Think we might go for an autumn walk this morning then To MILs this afternoon. OOTD Will probably involve the gap slim straights but not decided on tops yet.

Hope everyone has a good day!

Longislandicetee · 30/10/2016 07:34

Morning everyone! I think this is the latest I have ever been on a new threadHalloween Shock

Just wanted to give big hugs to Viva. One of the worst/most frightening experiences of my life was when my dsis was diagnosed with cancer. You just love them so much and want them to be okay. I wish your dm much luck and sending your whole family many strength vibes for the next few months.Flowers

I have been massively clocking up the air miles in all 4 corners of the earth for the last month so I am knackered. I also threw our annual Halloween party for the dcs which they loved! Halloween GrinThe outside of our house and the whole of downstairs is decorated with orange and red. It's lovely, every year, we make decorations and I carefully wrap them up and take them out again the following year and we add to them.

I added to my bling collection with this Tiffany's bracelet while passing through Heathrow last week. I did have a thought on Friday that I might own too much bling, when I was hunting for my Tag watch and realised I own 18 watches. Even I think that's a lot!ShockBlush

QueenCobalt · 30/10/2016 07:48

Love that bracelet blingy. If you ever think you have too many bracelets you can pass that on to me Grin
one good to know that itching is normal. Trying very hard not to scratch it and get my mucky hands on it!

shopafrolic · 30/10/2016 09:09

Urrrrrgggggghhhhhh
Such a good night - the kids (and adults) had a blast. Feeling it today though.
I totally rocked my skeleton outfit Grin. Pics on FB for those that know me.

OneNightTimeMenaceStrikesBack · 30/10/2016 09:20

queenC it's hard not to touch them isn't it? it gets so tempting to just fiddle with them and twist the jewellery! Best not to but i know how tempting it is

Shop you looked fab in your skeleton outfit and the party looked a lot of fun Smile

blingy i hope you manage some rest today

SoyYo · 30/10/2016 10:32

Morning! Hi to topaz remember you from old threads.
Glad you enjoyed your party shop
blingy party decorations sound great, 20 watches!!Shock personally not a watch wearer, I know what you mean about airport shopping temptation! Lovely Tiffany bracelet too

My boiler got fixed! Have been super lazy this weekend so nothing else got done Blush

SoyYo · 30/10/2016 10:35

Merriboo great tan handbag and I'm not really excited by handbags but really like the shape/colour of the one you posted

MarshaBrady · 30/10/2016 11:07

Hello, gosh missed loads!

Had a really wonderful half term with my parents. It was so much fun, loads of shows, No Man's Land, Royal Albert Hall (incredible place) orchestra, Kinky Boots, dc at Aladdin and The Railway Children, parents at two more operas. Plus restaurants with lovely wine and champagne and Caravaggio

A recent thing I got is the most gorgeous Dries Van Noten scarf, very thick and heavy spun with gold silk and dark purple - will take a pic at some point, a scarf that makes you feel like a million dollars.

Fair to say we really 'do London' when they are here, perfect excuse for me to live highly indulgently for a bit.

Viva I'm so sorry to read this, sending lots of love to you and your DM and your whole family

Blair love the APC

Had a fun night with friends last night, taking it easy today

AmberNectarine · 30/10/2016 12:54

Sounds like a lovely week Marsha - scarf sounds dreamy. Stealth boast to say I've actually sung at the Albert Hall.

Viva, so sorry to hear about your DM, sending strength x

MarshaBrady · 30/10/2016 13:20

That is highly impressive Amber, walking in made me gasp it was so beautiful. Must have felt amazing to sing there.

libertydoddle · 30/10/2016 14:32

viva sending you hugs and Flowers

Marsha the scarf sounds fabulous as does your week!

Lovely bracelet Blingy. 18 watches!!!

Amber that must have been an incredible experience.

OOTD Nike olive green trainers, Paige Hoxton high rise indigo skinnies, JCrew red plaid shirt. On a decluttering mission. Out for a hot chocolate now with DD to make amends for being a 'bossy' mummy who has made her throw away loads of old toys and craft projects. Apparently this has been the worst day of her life and she was remember it when she is 70 ShockGrin

shopafrolic · 30/10/2016 15:18

Blimey Lib - you should write her a note 'not to be opened until her 70th birthday' to remind her Grin DS always tells everyone I 'make him' sell his toys because we NEED the money as though we are poverty stricken!
Hungover as hell. Just been to the Tree Cathedral for a walk and some conker collecting and am now cheffing up a roast.
Marsha sounds fabulous as always Smile

MarshaBrady · 30/10/2016 17:54

Shop I had to re-read that as at first I thought it was chuffing up a roast, some new term Grin, I think it was because of the hangover comment. Loved the outfit, but the eyeliner esp. Good addition to the make up repertoire

Lib hope all is forgiven? And you had a nice time
